Location: Davenport, FL - Specialty: Pediatric, Hospitalist

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic pediatric hospitalists with a focus and interest in newborn nursery care to join our team at the new AdventHealth Heart of Florida, located in Davenport, Florida (south of Orlando).   The new physician would work along with another physician to provide 24-7 coverage.  Schedule would include both restricted and unrestricted call.   Responsibilities would include delivery attendance, stabilization and resuscitation, daily rounds and circumcisions

The physicians based at Heart of Florida would have the support and experience of over 150 pediatric subspecialists based at AdventHealth for Children.  We have a dedicated neonatology transport team with over 100 Level 3 NICU beds at our main location, just north of downtown Orlando.

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic pediatric hospitalists to join our team.  This .5 or part time, inpatient only position would be located at AdventHealth Ocala, formerly Florida Hospital Ocala. 

Working in association with a fully committed children's hospital network across the state, a strong employed physician multi-specialty group, a balanced schedule, and a competitive benefits/ compensation package are just a few of the many reasons why this is an excellent career opportunity to consider. Coverage would include in house as well as call.  Physicians would need to be comfortable with general pediatric patients and attending high risk deliveries as well as well newborn care and be proficient with procedures such as circumcisions and intubations.  The newborn service is supported by a level 2 NICU, staffed by experienced neonatologists, who will be available on call for high risk deliveries.

Requirements of the position: Board Certification/Eligible American Board of Pediatrics.  NRP and PALS certified. 

Location: Sebring, FL - Specialty: Pediatric, Hospitalist

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic pediatric hospitalists with a focus and interest in newborn nursery care to join our team AdventHealth Sebring (located approximately two hours south of Orlando).   This team, when fully staffed, would work alongside another pediatric hospitalist to provide 24-7 coverage.  Schedule would include both restricted and unrestricted call in a 7 on, 7 off schedule.  At Sebring we experience about 1,000 deliveries a year- responsibilities would include stabilization, resuscitation and daily rounds of our newborns and within our pediatric floor.

The physicians based at AdventHealth Sebring would have the support and experience of over 150 pediatric subspecialists based at AdventHealth for Children in downtown Orlando.  We have a dedicated neonatology transport team with over 100 Level 3 NICU beds at our main location.

Location: Ocala, FL - Specialty: Pediatric, Neonatology

 

We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, and energetic neonatologist as we expand our group at the Level 2 NICU at AdventHealth Ocala, located an hour and 20 minutes northwest of Orlando.  This program is built for two neonatologists with two NNP’s in our 12 bed Level 2 NICU at AdventHealth Ocala which has approximately 3,000 deliveries per year. These physicians will be supported by the quaternary care NICU at AdventHealth for Children, with a seamless transport process for infants that need a higher level of care.

You would be part of a larger group of neonatologists that are part of AdventHealth for Children Orlando, formerly Florida Hospital for Children. Our regional network includes a delivery volume of approximately 15,000 births per year. We have a dedicated Neonatal transport team and are supported by experienced Pediatric Subspecialists.

The new physician joining the group should be board certified in pediatrics and board certified/eligible through the Sub-Board of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Pediatric, Neuro-Oncology

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for a dynamic Pediatric Neuro Oncologist to join our team of pediatric cancer specialists based at The Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando, Florida.  The ideal candidate would have clinical experience post pediatric neuro oncology fellowship and be interested in an active clinical opportunity.  The Program Leader would help to lead the dedicated outpatient neuro oncology practice, protocols, research, and marketing and work with our devoted team of oncologists, pediatric neurosurgeons and radiation oncologists.  The new physician would also share in the inpatient service rotation with our pediatric hematology oncology team.  We also have over 200 families in our Neurofibromatosis multi-disciplinary program that is currently housed in the pediatric oncology program.  Our hospital is part of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG) and actively participates in over 40 open COG clinical trials.

Location: Tavares, FL - Specialty: Physical Medicine and Rehab

AdventHealth Medical Group is searching for a board-certified Physiatrist with Medical Director experience for a brand-new 12 bed inpatient unit located at AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares, FL. This physician will be responsible for the start-up and ongoing multi-disciplinary care in our state-of-the-art facility. Future growth will increase the total number of licensed inpatient rehab beds to 22.

The Medical Director will work with an experienced support team of therapists, skilled nurses and dietitians providing care to stroke, orthopedic and general rehab patients. A full complement of medical and surgical specialists will also provide care for our patients on this unit. The new physician would also be responsible for acute care consults during the day in addition to working with care management, specialists and acute care teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted FL medical license
  • AAPM&R board certification
  • Medical Director experience in the inpatient rehabilitation setting
  • Experience in developing new, multi-disciplinary teams

AdventHealth Medical Group Spine Health at Altamonte Springs is looking for a dynamic and team-oriented Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician to join our established destination program.  This position is for a PM&R trained physician to help build and grow the practice in new markets around the Orlando area.  This opportunity is focused on growing 1-2 satellite offices, all within a 15-30 minute drive from our main office located in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The new physician will have the ability to shape his/her practice based on subspecialty interests. 

With the leadership of Dr. Chetan Patel, Medical Director, this physician will have the opportunity to provide the best care and treatment options for spine care patients.  We have full multidisciplinary services at Spine Health at Altamonte Springs that include rehab and sports medicine, wellness, psychology, pain medicine, procedures, and outcomes-based research.  The position would be based in an outpatient setting for patient consultations and EMG procedures. 

Physicians with an academic interest would find this position appealing as Dr. Patel is actively engaged in multiple FDA and European clinical trials and continues to serve as a faculty member for multiple spine societies.  He is the Robotics and Navigation Section Chairman for the North American Spine Society.  At AdventHealth Medical Group Spine Health at Altamonte Springs, he has helped establish a comprehensive research database on operative and non-operative treatment of spine patients with the goal of reporting outcomes based on evidence based spinal treatment and refining clinical algorithms.   The new physician would have the opportunity to teach, participate in our research database and author multiple publications.

General Summary: The APRN or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s), who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for:

  • Performing physical examinations as needed and monitors cardiology & interventional cardiology patients in the hospital and clinic setting: new patient visits, pre-& post-procedure care, follow up, patient education
  • Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc.
  • Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed
  • Collaborates with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff
  • Displays a caring and professional attitude at all time as well as maintaining personal and professional growth
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Inpatient and Outpatient role
  • Some new patient, mostly follow-ups
  • Patients with CHF, chest pain, Uncontrolled hypertension, palpitations, cardiogenic Syncope,Valve disease, cardiomyopathy, valve disease, cardiomyopathy, atrial fibrillation , atrial flutter, ventricular arrhythmias etc.
  • Primarily working with Dr. Wodi
  • Potential to work in the hypertension clinic
  • Schedule is 6 AM - 5 PM with flexibility depending on census of hospital/clinic
  • Call rotation is one weekend every 3rd week, work with Dr. Wodi on Holiday rotation
  • Currently no overnight or home call, but could change in the future as practice grows

Education and Experience Required:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) Studies
  • 2-4 years of experience as a provider in cardiology
  • Experience running stress tests (highly preferred)

Licensure, Certification, and Registration:

AdventHealth Winter Park is a 320-bed acute-care facility that primarily serves the residents of northeastern Orange and southeastern Seminole Counties. The facility began caring for patients in February 1955 when it first opened its doors to the public as Winter Park Memorial Hospital. It was fully acquired by AdventHealth in July 2000 and today operates as a not-for-profit, community-based hospital.

General Summary:

The APRN or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s) who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for:

  • Performs physical examinations of patients; evaluation and treatment of injuries or illness of patients with GI related conditions in the hospital setting
  • Responsible for covering the inpatient service for the practice at Florida Hospital Apopka
  • Treating patients with various conditions related to the full scope of the digestive system, liver functions and esophagus
  • Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc
  • Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed
  • Collaborates with physician supervisor and staff, as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff
