AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking an experienced, board certified Pediatrician to anchor a new practice in the Waterford Lakes area of Orlando, Florida – one of Central Florida’s fastest growing family friendly communities. When this clinic opens in November 2020, AdventHealth Medical Group will be expanding its network of Pediatric Primary Care to the East Orlando community. Enjoy an outpatient only practice with after hours call triaged by an answering service staffed with licensed nursing professionals.

The ideal candidate will be/have:

  • Active FL medical license (or ability to secure active, unrestricted licensure)
  • Prefer at least 3-5 years’ experience in all aspects of Pediatric care (newborn through age 18)
  • Board Certification in Pediatrics
  • Experience with supervising Advanced Practice Providers (APRN and/or PA-C)
  • Proficiency with minor office-based procedures including, but not limited to: circumcisions, vaccinations, CLIA waived labs

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for a dynamic pediatric hematologist/oncologist to join our team of pediatric blood and cancer specialists based at The Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando, Florida.  The ideal candidate would have clinical experience post fellowship and be interested in an active clinical opportunity.  Training and/or interest in Pediatric Neuro Oncology is preferred but not required.   

The new physician would also share in the inpatient service rotation with our pediatric hematology and oncology team of three physicians and three advanced practice providers.  Our hospital is part of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG) and actively participates in over 40 open COG clinical trials.

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic Pediatric Hospitalists to join our team at AdventHealth Daytona Beach in association with AdventHealth for Children/Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando.   

The pediatric hospitalist would be expected to perform pediatric admissions to the dedicated Pediatric Floor, ED pediatric consults, participate in daily family centered rounding, as well as cover the Level 1 Newborn Nursery.  The schedule would consist of both restricted and unrestricted call resulting in approximately 14 shifts per month.

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic Pediatric Hospitalists to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa in association with AdventHealth for Children/Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando.   

The pediatric hospitalist would be expected to perform pediatric admissions to the Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit, ED pediatric consults, participate in daily family centered rounding, as well as cover the Level 1 Newborn Nursery with the support of an Advanced Practice Practitioner/Provider.  The schedule would consist of 24/7 in-house coverage resulting in approximately 13-14, 12hr shifts per month for a full-time pediatric hospitalist, which will include days, nights and weekends.

Coverage would include in house as well as call.  Physicians would need to be comfortable with general pediatric patients and attending high risk deliveries as well as well newborn care and be proficient with procedures such as circumcisions and intubations.  The newborn service is supported by a level 2 NICU, staffed by experienced neonatologists, who will be available on call for high risk deliveries.

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic pediatric hospitalist with a focus and interest in newborn nursery care to join our team at the Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando.  Our program at AdventHealth for Children has also been recognized as having the Best Newborn Care by US News and World Report.  We have over 100 NICU beds with Level 3 capability at our Children’s Hospital, including all major pediatric subspecialties.  Schedule would include 14 shifts a month of both restricted and unrestricted call.  The Pediatric Hospitalist program is partnered with Graduate Medical Education, thus providing the opportunity to work with our pediatric residents.  Our pediatric hospitalist team consists of over 20 physicians and 6 APP’s that help provide care to 7 locations across our network.

Location: Sebring, FL - Specialty: Pediatric, Hospitalist

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic pediatric hospitalists with a focus and interest in newborn nursery care to join our team AdventHealth Sebring (located approximately two hours south of Orlando).   This team, when fully staffed, would work alongside another pediatric hospitalist to provide 24-7 coverage.  Schedule would include both restricted and unrestricted call in a 7 on, 7 off schedule.  At Sebring we experience about 1,000 deliveries a year- responsibilities would include stabilization, resuscitation and daily rounds of our newborns and within our pediatric floor.

The physicians based at AdventHealth Sebring would have the support and experience of over 150 pediatric subspecialists based at AdventHealth for Children in downtown Orlando.  We have a dedicated neonatology transport team with over 100 Level 3 NICU beds at our main location.

Location: Melbourne, FL - Specialty: Pediatric, Neonatology

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic, innovative and energetic neonatologists as we expand our group at the Level 2 NICU at Holmes Regional Medical Center (HRMC) in Melbourne, Florida.  The flexible schedule includes both restricted (in house) and unrestricted call (at home) consisting of approximately 14 shifts a month.  The Neonatologist in collaboration with a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, will cover the 10 bed Level 2 NICU at HRMC along with the newborn service.  The Neonatologist will also be available, on call, for high risk deliveries.  This program is built for two neonatologists and two NNP’s.  In addition to the NICU and newborn service there is also an inpatient pediatric floor that is managed by the Pediatric Hospitalist team.

The physicians will be part of a larger group of neonatologists that are part of AdventHealth for Children Orlando, formerly Florida Hospital for Children. Our regional network includes a delivery volume of approximately 23,000 births per year. We have a dedicated Neonatal transport team and are supported by experienced Pediatric Subspecialists.

Requirements of the position:

This position would also have the support of our Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children in Orlando is a full service, tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, including a 22 bed PICU, 10 bed Cardiac ICU, a 102 bed NICU, 17 bed pediatric emergency department and statewide pediatric network and transport system.  We started our comprehensive pediatric open-heart program in 2012 and have a strong track record of positive outcomes.  We also have several key destination programs including our level IV Epilepsy program, and we increased Orlando area NICU beds to 150 total in 2017.  Our unparalleled network consists of 30 hospitals across the state with one children’s hospital at the center and several extremely successful pediatric subspecialty programs including outreach clinics.  Our newest program has brought pediatirc liver transplant services to Central Florida. AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic Neonatologists to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa in association with AdventHealth for Children/Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando.   

The neonatologist would be responsible for all admissions, procedures, medical management while also leading out multidisciplinary rounds within the Level 3 NICU at AdventHealth Tampa.  The schedule would consist of a rotating shift model allowing for continuity and flexibility amongst the team of four physicians.

Location: Tavares, FL - Specialty: Physical Medicine and Rehab

AdventHealth Medical Group is searching for a board-certified Physiatrist with experience to lead our program in a brand new inpatient unit located at AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares, Florida – approximately 40 minutes from downtown Orlando.  This physician will be responsible for the multi-disciplinary care in our state-of-the-art facility along with APP support. Future growth will increase the total number of licensed inpatient rehab beds to 22.  Responsibilities will include inpatient clinical care, program development, quality metrics and improvement, and marketing, along with dedicated administrative time. Ideal candidate will also have comfort level with general internal medicine needs of patients.  

The Medical Director will work with an experienced support team of therapists, skilled nurses and dietitians providing care to neurologic, cardiac, orthopedic and general rehab patients.  A full complement of medical and surgical specialists will also provide care for our patients on this unit. The new physician would also be responsible for acute care consults during the day in addition to working with care management, specialists, hospitalists and other acute care teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted FL medical license
  • Board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
  • At least five years of experience post residency training
  • Experience in a leadership role and in developing new, multi-disciplinary teams is preferred
