AdventHealth Medical Group Radiology - Central Florida, formerly Radiology Specialists of Florida, is seeking full-time ABR fellowship trained neuroradiologists to join its expanding practice of 150 radiologists. CAQ in Neuroradiology or CAQ eligible required. We perform approximately 2 million exams per year via a large referral base of more than 3000 medical staff.  Our mission is to consistently provide the highest quality patient centered diagnostic and interventional service to patients and referring physicians, in a cost effective and timely manner.

This position is located in Orlando, Fl and will work 226 shifts a year with 12 weeks off vacation.

Candidate should expect:

  • Read 100% Neuroradiology including CT, MR, XR, and US
  • NO overnight responsibility with subspecialized internal overnight coverage
  • Advanced imaging knowledge is desired including CT Perfusion for stroke and MR Perfusion for brain tumors
  • Performing occasional neuroradiological procedures including lumbar punctures, myelograms, epidural blood patches, and lumbar drain placement.  Neurovascular procedures are performed by dedicated neurointerventionalists in the system. 
  • 1 PACS system (AGFA PACS and PowerScribe systems)
  • High end Neuroradiology practice with a large volume of neuro oncology, epilepsy, head and neck oncology, and stroke imaging
  • Residency program with 4 residents per year

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Radiology, Pediatric

The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group Radiology are seeking a full-time ABR fellowship trained Pediatric Interventional Radiologist to join our expanding subspecialized practice of six pediatric radiologists and one pediatric neuroradiologist. The pediatric radiology group interprets over 100,000 pediatric studies per year.  AdventHealth Medical Group Radiology has 150 radiologists and provides a total of approximately two million exams annually.

This position will allow for the unique opportunity to fully develop the pediatric interventional radiology program at AdventHealth for Children. Extensive support from the administrative and operational teams of both AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group Radiology will be provided. The physician will have access to state-of-the-art equipment in a recently updated fluoroscopy suite, dedicated clinic space/time, and advanced practice provider support. Rotations occur at a single hospital site in central Orlando, and pediatric interventional call is covered by the adult IR section.

There is an engaging pediatric case mix with multiple opportunities for a pediatric interventional radiologist including:

  • Development of a pediatric interventional vascular malformation clinic: our growing Children’s hospital has a thriving pediatric dermatology group currently seeing vascular malformation patients. The ideal candidate would assist in developing the radiology components of this clinic, including overseeing imaging, and planning/providing interventional procedures.
  • Involvement with the AdventHealth Transplant Institute team as needed for interventional procedures: AdventHealth for Children has an active pediatric transplant service and is the only hospital providing pediatric liver transplant in central Florida.
  • Growing opportunity for musculoskeletal procedures following our recent partnership with Rothman Orthopedics.
  • Oversight/management of pediatric interventional procedures including biopsy, abscess drainage, etc.

Requirements of the position:

AdventHealth Medical Group Radiology Central Florida is seeking an ABR fellowship trained Pediatric Radiologist to join its expanding subspecialized practice of 150 radiologists. This is a unique position covering Saturdays and Sundays, with 1 additional non-weekend shift (Friday or Monday). AdventHealth Medical Group Radiology has 6 pediatric radiologists and 1 pediatric neuroradiologist and is actively recruiting a pediatric interventional radiologist to provide service for our growing Children’s Hospital. Our facilities provide a total of approximately 2 million exams, and over 100,000 pediatric studies per year.

Position Overview/Highlights:

  • 12-hour weekend shifts (8am-8pm) covering inpatient and ER exams
  • Shift can be worked from home in the Orlando area; physician must be available for occasional emergent fluoroscopy procedures during shift hours (any of which would be performed only at AdventHealth for Children in Orlando)
  • Radiologist works 3 weekends per month (120 shifts for full-time status/benefits)
  • One call per week with associated generous call pay
  • Schedule allows for 11 consecutive days off each month

• Provide short-term, structured, evidence-based psychotherapy as part of an appropriate treatment plan.

• Coordinate and collaborate with the primary care providers to improve health outcomes.

• Facilitate referrals to other services (e.g. substance abuse treatment, specialty care and community resources as needed.

• Provide clinical therapeutic services to patients, including individual and group therapy and coordination of treatment for participants with co-occurring disorders.

• Provide crisis intervention as needed.

• Maintain accurate and timely records of activities and services provided to each client.

AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is looking for a dynamic, energetic and experienced bariatric surgeon to serve the needs of South Orlando.  Located at AdventHealth Celebration Hospital, AHMG Bariatric and Metabolic Medicine is seeking a second partner to join our comprehensive bariatric surgery program, and to help expand our reach by building and fostering collegial relationships with community-based physicians.  All participating AdventHealth Weight Loss and Bariatric Surgery locations across Central Florida are officially recognized by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) as comprehensive centers.   

A strong emphasis will be placed on evidence-based medicine with a concentration on long-term patient-centered care including an excellent patient experience. Ideally, the new surgeon would have extensive experience with the duodenal switch, complex revisions, and robotic bariatric surgery. AdventHealth is looking for a dynamic, experienced cardiovascular surgeon with aortic expertise to join our established team of surgeons located at AdventHealth Orlando. We have a full complement of nationally recognized core cardiac and Transplant / Assist Devices and Congenital Cardiac programs. These include coronary revascularization, a valve center of excellence, and TVT accredited structural heart programs. We are looking for this new surgeon with specialized skills to help create our Aortic Center of Excellence.
