AdventHealth Orthopedic Institute and AdventHealth Medical Group (formerly Florida Hospital) are seeking a BC/BE General Orthopedic Surgeon to join an established Orthopedic practice located at the AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach campus. This position is based in New Smyrna Beach near the Atlantic coastal line of Florida. This practice is comprised of several subspecialized Orthopedic surgeons at multiple campuses providing a connected system of care through Volusia and Flagler counties. The orthopedic specialists at AdventHealth are backed by the world-class AdventHealth Orthopedic Institute. Patients will have direct access to some of the most advanced orthopedic treatment options available and cutting-edge rehabilitation plans. Surgery, Pediatric: Neurosurgical
Orlando, FL

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Surgery, Pediatric: Neurosurgical

The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is looking for an exceptional and dynamic, fellowship-trained pediatric neurosurgeon to join our program in Orlando, Florida. Ideal candidate would have several years of experience as well as specific interests in brain tumors and craniofacial surgery, which will be in collaboration with our new, dedicated pediatric neuro oncologist and a plastics craniofacial surgeon respectively.

Our program is led by our Chief of our newly reorganized division of pediatric neurosurgery, Dr. Jim Baumgartner. Our team includes support of three PA's who provide care on both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

The hospital has eight dedicated neurosurgical operating suites including a 3T intraoperative MRI and a 64 slice intraoperative CT. As part of AdventHealth for Children, we have a dedicated 8 bed epilepsy monitoring unit. Diagnostic facility includes a state-of-art 3T MRIs, PET, SPECT, MEG center, and Gamma Knife. We also have Monteris LITT and InSightec ExAblate focused ultrasound.

The physician would work in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team including pharmacology, psychology, pediatric neurology, pediatric radiology and pediatric epilepsy. The goal is to become a leading best practice model that is research based, data driven and led by experts. We are the longest continual member of COG in the Central Florida community.

Our surgical epilepsy program is the second busiest program in the nation and that we have been number one in volume in Florida for 10 straight years. One the medical side, our pediatric neurology and epilepsy team is also continuing to expand as we provide care for patients from around the country in our Level IV program.

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Surgery, Thoracic

The thoracic surgery program at AdventHealth in Central Florida is looking for a dynamic and energetic thoracic surgeon to join our established and highly respected practice. This position will be focused to continue to develop our program at AdventHealth Orlando (our large tertiary center just north of downtown).  This includes a focus in malignant foregut surgery and all aspects of thoracic surgery (not including lung transplant).  Ideal candidate will have experience to help lead the service line at the campus through a Medical Directorship for Thoracic Surgery for the Central Orange market. 

Our highly trained and skilled surgeons care for patients with benign and malignant diseases of the lungs, chest wall, pleural space, and mediastinum. The practice offers a full spectrum of endoscopic procedures, including newly acquired Auris Monarch Robotic Assisted Bronchoscopy of the lungs and endoscopic procedures of the esophagus, as well as dilation and stenting procedures. Minimally invasive surgical approaches are used in the treatment of both benign and malignant chest pathology. The candidate will be committed to the expansion of our malignant foregut program within the scope of our multidisciplinary team.

Requirements:

  • Board Certified through the American Board of Thoracic Surgery (ABTS)
  • Ability to receive a valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Florida
  • At least five years of experience post fellowship training

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic urologist with an interest in a defined schedule and inpatient work to be part of our team at AdventHealth Orlando.  This employment opportunity is for urologists with a primary interest in a hospital setting, some procedures and rounding. Physician would have responsibility to cover inpatient urology consults from the floors and the emergency department.  The surgeon would also have responsibility for some bedside procedures including cystoscopies.  This opportunity works in collaboration and partnership with our traditional, clinic based urologists. 

Part of a subsection of AdventHealth Medical Group Urology, this opportunity includes APP support.  A balanced monthly schedule would include 15 day shifts.  A competitive base salary, strong benefits package, and a collegial cross-coverage team are just some of the attractive aspects of this opportunity.

Coverage could also include time in our main tertiary facility, AdventHealth Orlando.  This employment opportunity is for urologists with a primary interest in a hospital setting, some procedures and rounding. Physician would have responsibility at both campuses to cover inpatient urology consults from the floors and the emergency department.  The surgeon would also have responsibility for some bedside procedures including cystoscopies.  This opportunity works in collaboration and partnership with our traditional, clinic based urologists.

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for dynamic and hard-working urologists to join our team in Central Florida.  The new physicians would join our outstanding urologists and help to grow our outpatient presence in new markets in the area.  Responsibilities also include inpatient call coverage at the primary AdventHealth hospital location in rotation with practice partners.  A shared call model with other urologists in town make weekend call less frequent.  Robotic surgery is also available within our system.

Requirements for the position:  Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Urology.  High caliber, quality focused, innovative physicians should apply.  Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and hard-working general urologist to join our team in Central Florida.  The new physician would join three current urologists as part of our Altamonte Springs practice location and help to grow our outpatient presence in the Seminole County market based in the Lake Mary area.  Responsibilities will include inpatient call coverage at the AdventHealth Altamonte Springs location in rotation with partners as well as building a vibrant outpatient practice in Lake Mary.  A shared call model with other urologists and APP’s make weekend call less frequent.  Robotic surgery is also available within our system.  We also have potential ASC investment opportunities. 

Requirements for the position:  Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Urology.  High caliber, quality focused, innovative physicians should apply.  Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.  At least three years of experience is preferred.

The new physician would join two current urologists as part of our East Orlando practice location and help to grow our outpatient presence in the East Orange County market. Ideal physician would be robotically trained and responsibilities will include inpatient call coverage at AdventHealth East Orlando in rotation with partners as well as building a vibrant outpatient practice. A shared call model with other urologists and APPs make weekend call less frequent.

Requirements for the position: Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Urology. Robotic surgery training. High caliber, quality focused, innovative physicians should apply. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, bilingual in Spanish a plus.

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and hard-working urologist to join our team in Central Florida.  The new physician would join two current urologists and help to grow our outpatient presence in the West Orange market based between Winter Garden and Clermont areas.  Responsibilities will include inpatient call coverage at the new AdventHealth Winter Garden hospital location (80 beds opening in 2022) in rotation with practice partners, as well as outpatient clinic at Winter Garden and a new health park in Clermont.  A shared call model with other urologists and APP’s make weekend call less frequent.  Robotic surgery is also available within our system.

Location: Daytona Beach, FL - Specialty: Surgery, Vascular

AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is seeking a board certified vascular surgeon  to join a growing practice located in  Daytona Beach, Florida.  AHMG is seeking a partner  with the desire to build a practice and foster collegial relationships with community-based physicians.  Strong referral base and access to supporting specialists would allow physicians to quickly build a robust patient base and provide a continuum of care. This provider will expand the presence of our vascular services to West Volusia. The practice is currently comprised of 4 surgeons and 7 APPs.
