AdventHealth Colorectal Surgery is looking for a colorectal surgeon interested in a 12-24 month junior faculty position. This position would ideally suit a board eligible/certified colorectal surgeon seeking to advance skills in complex and reoperative abdominal and pelvic surgery, with a focus on recurrent cancer, pelvic exenteration, complex IBD and intestinal failure. The post would be ideally suited for a surgeon finishing a colorectal fellowship wishing to gain specific skills in complex surgical problems.
Responsibilities include seeing patients in our clinic and performing anorectal and abdominal cases at independent attending level, participation in complex reoperative procedures and sharing in the call schedule. In addition to clinical duties, the incumbent will teach medical students, residents and fellows. Responsibilities include participation in the academic and research missions of AdventHealth.
The incumbent will be part of the largest colorectal surgery group in Florida, working with 13 colorectal surgeons and 10 specialized Advanced Practice Providers. This is the only NAPRC accredited group in Central Florida and has an international reputation in MIS and trans-anal technology.
