AdventHealth is partnering by way of a recruitment assistance agreement with a Private Cardiology practice with offices in Leesburg, FL and The Villages, FL.  This practice is growing and looking for an energetic Interventional Cardiologist with interests in general cardiology to join the team.  With a focus on women’s heart disease and cardiac disease prevention the lead cardiologist lives and practices with the philosophy of treating patients the way one would expect to treat their own family.  The primary AdventHealth hospital campus this position will cover and perform procedures at will be AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares, Florida.  General Cardiology call is shared with another local group in the area on a 1:4 rotation.  STEMI call will also be expected at AH Waterman and rotated with the other Interventionalist on medical staff.  Another important characteristic the practice is seeking is a physician that is passionate about quality patient care, above all else.  In addition to being a thriving and growing practice in an up and coming area, this position also offers work/life balance, flexible schedule, competitive compensation and benefits.  These are only some of reasons to consider this amazing opportunity.

AdventHealth Waterman is proud to be the first hospital in north Lake County to receive full accreditation from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care for our Chest Pain Center with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention.  The cardiovascular surgery program at AH Waterman is led by two cardiothoracic surgeons who not only have extensive experience but have also serviced this community for many years.  We are also excited about the launch of the newly established TAVR program late this summer.  With accreditation from the American College of Cardiology for Chest Pain Rapid Response Systems, AdventHealth Waterman is also the only hospital in Central Florida to receive 10 consecutive "A" grades by the Leapfrog Group, a prestigious healthcare ratings group. AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and energetic invasive cardiologist to join our team in our Altamonte Springs location (Formerly Florida Heart Group).  Cardiologists must be proficient in all forms of non-invasive cardiology in addition to diagnostic cardiac catheterization. 

Responsibilities will include both inpatient and outpatient care, in addition to some group call coverage at times.

AdventHealth Medical Group formerly Florida Hospital Medical Group is looking for two dynamic and energetic invasive/noninvasive (non-interventional) cardiologists to join our team at AdventHealth Celebration (website).    These cardiologists must be proficient in performing nuclear tests and preferably TEE’s.  This employed opportunity would total four cardiologists to start as we launch a new Acute MI/PCI program at AdventHealth Celebration formerly Florida Hospital CelebrationHealth, led by Dr. Rohit Bhatheja.  Practice in a beautiful location, approximately 30 minutes south of downtown Orlando.  This would be an excellent opportunity to help start and grow a program in a hospital with over 80,000 emergency visits per year and the closest hospital in proximity to Walt Disney World. 

Responsibilities will include both inpatient and outpatient cardiology care. Ideal candidates will have practice building experience.  Recent graduates/early career (within 5 years) willing to build a practice will be considered as well.

AdventHealth Ob/Gyn is a well-established practice that has been in the Orlando area for almost 30 years and is part of the award-winning AdventHealth system.  Physicians and Certified Nurse Midwives work together to provide the highest-quality care in a friendly, welcoming setting.  We provide safe, efficient, patient-centered care. The Ob/Gyn practice is an ACOG “SCOPE” safety-certified practice. Midwives also see obstetrics and gynecology patients in the office setting. The Certified Nurse Midwife may be additionally involved in resident and student education. 

Our team values our CNM colleagues and the midwifery care model.  CNMs take call within the hospital, working in collaboration with our physicians. We are proud to deliver all our patients at the extraordinary AdventHealth for Women, located just North of downtown Orlando!

General Summary:

  • Evaluates pregnant and postpartum women including managing all aspects of pre-natal visits
  • Performs the nursing duties related to midwifery including labor and delivery care, care after birth, and newborn care.
  • Educates women about different types of care available and encourages them to enhance their pregnancy by being involved.  
  • Orders, interprets and incorporates diagnostic tests, studies and lab values into the plan of care; evaluates effectiveness.
  • Formulates appropriate diagnosis based on history, physical examination and clinical findings.
  • Plans and provides care within the framework of policies, unit guidelines and privileges.
  • Serves as OB/GYN team member working closely with physicians and other staff to ensure healthy pregnancies and deliveries.
  • Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies according to privileges.
  • Emphasizes patient education, active participation, clear communication between the provider and the women, and an individualized health care experience.
  • Advocates birth education, natural childbirth, and the participation of the entire family.
  • Teaches patients about all aspects of an infant’s reaction to its environment including but not limited to breast feeding and bonding.  
  • Communicates and documents pertinent case information in a timely and thorough manner.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of midwifery principles and techniques.
  • Knowledge of methods ensuring safe working environment for patient, family, and staff including using appropriate personal protection equipment.
  • Knowledge of theories of family dynamics, mother-child attachment, parenting, and adult learning concepts.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Masters Degree in Nursing with Mid-Wife Certification
  • 2-3 years’ experience as midwife in hospital setting

 LICENSURE and CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

  • Valid Florida License
  • Certification by American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM)
  • ACLS

AdventHealth is continuing to grow its comprehensive and successful 24/7 ICU model and are seeking dynamic critical care fellowship trained physicians to be part of our expanding team.  Our team manages a complex and diverse patient population across eight of our campuses within Central Florida.  We have the following positions available dedicated to the noted campuses around the greater Orlando area with growth potential and opportunities for teaching as well with our residents and critical care fellows at the main campus:

This employment opportunity is for critical care fellowship trained physicians with an interest in a hospital only setting covering Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, and CV ICU's. Full time Nocturnists also considered for pay differential. Ideal candidates will have two years experience in Critical Care Medicine, although new fellowship grads will be considered as well. 14 shifts per month will provide full time benefits. 12 shifts per month for the nocturnist positions will provide full time benefits.  Set schedule/shifts, competitive salary/benefits and a collegial cross-coverage team are just some of the attractive aspects of this opportunity.

AdventHealth Graduate Medical Education in Orlando, Florida is looking for a dynamic, hardworking, and broadly-skilled Family Medicine physician with a passion for teaching. This doctor would serve as one of the key faculty members in an academic role within the Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Program. He or she would focus on outpatient medicine while teaching our residents and medical students. The physician's duties will include rotating between their own personal clinic and precepting residents in an outpatient setting. Ideal candidate would have experience in private or academic medicine, demonstrate leadership capabilities, strong communication skills, and fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth, formerly Florida Hospital. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not necessary.

This well-established residency program is based at AdventHealth East Orlando, a 293 bed facility that is part of one of the largest healthcare systems in the country. The Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency at AdventHealth East Orlando, which has been training residents for over 30 years, is among the most progressive training programs in the osteopathic profession. The foundation for our family medicine residency is derived from the dedication of our faculty, continuity family medicine and pediatric clinics, didactic programs and innovative technology. We teach eight new residents each academic year, fellows in the "Plus One" NMM program, and osteopathic medical students. Our main medical school affiliation is with Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and the program is a core rotation site for 3rd year medical students from this school.
