AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and team-oriented Adult Congenital Cardiologist to lead and continue to cultivate our Adult Congenital Cardiology Program.  

The applicant should have expertise in the management of adult congenital heart disease with prominent clinical, teaching, program development and research skills.  Excellent skills in leadership, collaboration and clinical management of ACHD patients is a must.  The ACHD team will include a registered nurse, Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA), and a MA.  The position also involves collaboration between pediatric and adult cardiology teams, neonatal ICU, pediatric & adult ICU, and inpatient cardiology.

The ideal candidate would have a comfort level with participating in our outreach clinics and be willing to perform both inpatient and outpatient Adult Congenital Cardiology.

AdventHealth Daytona Beach is seeking one BC/BE Electrophysiology Cardiologist to join an established private Cardiology practice located at the AdventHealth Daytona Beach campus.

This practice is comprised of seven cardiologists at two office locations. Candidate should specialize in Electrophysiology Cardiology.   The cardiologists at AdventHealth collaborate in a connected system of care backed by the expertise of the AdventHealth Cardiovascular Institute. The AdventHealth Transplant Institute is seeking a dynamic, fellowship-trained advanced heart failure transplant cardiologist to join the thoracic transplant team. The cardiologist would work in an exciting and thriving transplant program with the full AdventHealth healthcare system support (50 hospitals in nine states including 30 in Florida. The physician would have the benefit of cross coverage for advanced heart failure/ transplant call and work with a comprehensive team including surgeons, cardiologists, coordinators, dieticians, pharmacists, therapists and social workers. The Transplant Institute also offers a vibrant and growing Mechanical Circulatory Support Device program as well and a fully developed ECMO program. Our team performs over 60 hearts, 20 lungs, and 30-50 mechanical circulatory support devices per year with multi organ transplant capability.

The AdventHealth Transplant Institute is located just outside downtown Orlando close to the charming Winter Park community. In September 2020, AdventHealth Orlando opened a state-of-the-art 32 bed critical care unit dedicated to the cardio thoracic transplant service. AdventHealth has a hospital-based organ procurement organization (Our Legacy which is a top performing OPO in the United States).

Requirements of the position include:

  • At least three years of experience post fellowship

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and energetic Interventional Cardiologist to join our growing practice located in Palm Coast, Florida.  This position will also have the support of an established practice consisting of two Cardiologists and one Advanced Practice Provider. The practice setting includes procedures such as EKG, EST, Nuclear Stress, Cardiac Cath, TEE, loops, pacers.

The Interventional Cardiologist would provide coverage primarily at AdventHealth Palm Coast.  Responsibilities will include inpatient and some outpatient care, in addition to group call coverage at times.

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and energetic invasive, non-interventional cardiologist to join our team at our Orlando location (Formerly Florida Heart Group).  Cardiologists must be proficient in all forms of non-invasive cardiology in addition to diagnostic cardiac catheterization.  The practice would be open to non-invasive cardiologists however, the preference of the group would remain for invasive/non-interventional cardiologist. 

Responsibilities will include both inpatient and outpatient care, in addition to group call coverage which will be shared amongst the physicians in the practice.  AHMG Cardiology at Orlando is a growing and established practice consisting of 19 cardiologists – interventional, structural, electrophysiology and general cardiology.

Utilizing the extensive knowledge of pathophysiology, pharmacology and physiology acquired, exercises independent judgment in the assessment, diagnosis and initiation of certain delegated medical processes and procedures.  

General Summary:

  • Evaluates pregnant and postpartum women in triage.
  • Performs the nursing duties related to midwifery including labor and delivery care, care after birth, and newborn care.
  • Educates women about different types of care available and encourages them to enhance their pregnancy by being involved.  
  • Orders, interprets and incorporates diagnostic tests, studies and lab values into the plan of care; evaluates effectiveness.
  • Formulates appropriate diagnosis based on history, physical examination and clinical findings.
