Leadership/Program Development - Adult Congenital Heart Disease

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and team-oriented Adult Congenital Cardiologist to lead and continue to cultivate our Adult Congenital Cardiology Program.  

The applicant should have expertise in the management of adult congenital heart disease with prominent clinical, teaching, program development and research skills.  Excellent skills in leadership, collaboration and clinical management of ACHD patients is a must.  The ACHD team will include a registered nurse, Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA), and a MA.  The position also involves collaboration between pediatric and adult cardiology teams, neonatal ICU, pediatric & adult ICU, and inpatient cardiology.

The ideal candidate would have a comfort level with participating in our outreach clinics and be willing to perform both inpatient and outpatient Adult Congenital Cardiology.

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Cardiology, Heart Failure / Heart Transplant

The AdventHealth Transplant Institute is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and fellowship-trained advanced heart failure cardiologist to lead the advanced heart failure and heart transplant team. The physician will work with our current group of established transplant cardiology and thoracic transplant surgical teams to help continue to grow our high-quality cardiac transplant program.  We have a full comprehensive Transplant Institute that includes both thoracic and abdominal transplant teams.  Our team performs over 60 hearts, 20 lungs, and 30-50 VAD’s per year with multi organ transplant capability.     

The AdventHealth Transplant Institute is located just outside downtown Orlando close to the charming Winter Park community.  In September 2020, AdventHealth Orlando opened a state-of-the-art 32 bed critical care unit dedicated to the cardio thoracic transplant service.  AdventHealth has a hospital-based organ procurement organization (Our Legacy which is a top performing OPO in the United States).     

Requirements of the position include: 

  • Fellowship training in Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant with at least five years’ experience post fellowship
  • Board Certification is required in Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure
  • Eligible to meet UNOS/OPTN bylaws for primary physician for heart transplant

Location: Altamonte Springs, FL - Specialty: Cardiology, Invasive, Non-Interventional

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and energetic invasive, non-interventional cardiologist to join our team at our Altamonte Springs location (Formerly Florida Heart Group).  Cardiologists must be proficient in all forms of non-invasive cardiology in addition to diagnostic cardiac catheterization.  

Responsibilities will include both inpatient and outpatient care, in addition to group call coverage which will be shared amongst the physicians in the practice.  AHMG Cardiology at Altamonte is a growing and established practice, part of our Orlando team, consisting of 19 cardiologists – interventional, structural, electrophysiology and general cardiology.

The physician would also have call coverage at the East Orlando hospital in rotation with practice partners and other community cardiology physicians.

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic physician to join our Critical Care team ultimately comprised of 8 physicians and 10 advanced practice providers. The physician will be based at our new state of the art 100 bed hospital, AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway, with rotations at the Intensive Care Units of AdventHealth Palm Coast, and AdventHealth Daytona Beach. The position requires a minimum of 182 shifts per year with a 7 on-7 off schedule.  Set schedule (7am-7pm) or (7pm-7am), competitive base salary with incentive program, strong benefits package, and a collegial cross-coverage team are attractive aspects of this opportunity.

Practice Overview

The practice is a part of AdventHealth Medical Group.  This is an employment opportunity that includes the benefits of call coverage and competitive compensation with a productivity model. Other benefits include occurrence-based malpractice coverage, CME allowance, 403b retirement plan, health insurance for physician and family, and relocation allowance.   AHMG is a sister organization of AdventHealth which employs 350+ physicians in 27 individual service lines. AdventHealth Medical Group Critical Care at Central Florida is looking for a dynamic physician to be a part of our expanding critical care team.  This Nocturnist position would be focused as part of a multi-disciplinary team, in our Cardiovascular ICU at our AdventHealth Orlando campus.  Physicians will have responsibility to cover in the new, state of the art, 32 bed CVICU with our team of intensivists and advanced practice providers. The patient mix includes heart and lung transplants, mechanical assist devices, VV/VA ECMO and general cardiac and thoracic surgery. Nocturnist position is 12 shifts per month.

  • AdventHealth Heart of Florida – Medical/Surgical ICU – 14 shifts a month with leadership opportunities
  • Nocturnist - AdventHealth Altamonte Springs/East Orlando – 12 shifts per month
  • AdventHealth Celebration – Medical/Surgical ICU (mostly surgical) – 14 shifts a month

This employment opportunity is for critical care fellowship trained physicians with an interest in an inpatient only setting covering mostly in the Medical and Surgical ICU’s. Ideal candidates will have two years of experience in Critical Care Medicine, although new fellowship graduates will be considered as well.
