AdventHealth Medical Group – Family and Internal and Internal Medicine at Celebration is looking for a dynamic and energetic Primary Care physician (MD or DO) to join an established practice in beautiful Orange County, Florida. This busy practice consists of two other physicians along with three advanced practice providers.

The ideal candidate will be/have:

  • Active FL medical license (or ability to secure active, unrestricted licensure)

Family Medicine, Internal Medicine
Central Florida, FL

Location: Central Florida, FL - Specialty: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine

AdventHealth Senior Care is searching for empathetic, high quality physicians to join our faith-based organization in multiple locations. Each Senior Care practice will consist of 4 physicians dedicated to coordinating and delivering whole person care to those 65 and older.  The practices are Medicare full risk clinics and candidates will require a desire to manage and treat the full spectrum of needs in this senior population.  Physicians will be committed to utilizing the full spectrum of their training skills for chronic disease management, acute issues, and prevent unnecessary referrals to specialists.  The physician will be expected to manage a smaller panel size in conjunction with an expanded care team.  This team will include multiple health coaches per physician, a practice RN, and embedded social worker, HCC coding support, and remote pharmacy consultation.  The focus for these practices will include increased quality, increased patient satisfaction, reduction in unnecessary utilization of health care resources, and delivery of whole person care.

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible physician in the specialties of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
  • Fellowship in Geriatrics or Population Health is additive but not required.
  • Active FL medical license (or ability to secure active, unrestricted licensure)

AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is looking for dynamic and energetic Gastroenterologists to join our team in beautiful Ocala, Florida.  AHMG Gastroenterology and Hepatology is seeking both a traditional gastroenterology partner alongside a full-time GI Hospitalist.  Ideal candidates should practice all aspects of gastroenterology and be able to handle a high-volume case load.  Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills and have the desire to build and foster collegial relationships with community-based physicians.  ERCP training is preferred, but not required.  Active Florida license is a plus.

Board Certification in Gastroenterology (ABMS or AOA) is required.

AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is looking for dynamic and energetic Gastroenterologists to serve the needs of Polk County, just south of Orlando.  Located onsite at both AdventHealth Heart of Florida and AdventHealth Lake Wales, AHMG Gastroenterology and Hepatology is seeking partners with the desire to build a practice and foster collegial relationships with community-based physicians. 

Ideal candidate should expect:

  • Daily work schedule of outpatient and inpatient care
  • Desire to handle a very high-volume case load
  • Practice all aspects of general Gastroenterology
  • Busy ED call at one hospital
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills

A strong emphasis will be placed on evidence-based medicine with a concentration on patient centered care. The new physician should have the desire to join a busy practice and fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth.  ERCP preferred, but not required.

Advanced Practice Provider AHMG General Opportunity.

AdventHealth Cancer Institute, formerly Florida Hospital Cancer Institute, is looking for a dynamic, charismatic, and experienced oncologist to lead our Breast Medical Oncology Program.  The Breast Oncology Medical Director is responsible for the development and deployment of tumor specific pathways and standards of care as well as the clinical/translational research agenda.  This position will also provide leadership to achieve clinical quality improvement outcomes, as well as to achieve efficiency of care improvement outcomes.  AdventHealth Cancer Institute in the Central Florida area sees over 1000 newly diagnosed breast cancer cases each year. 

The Medical Director will collaborate with academia, industry and physicians to advance innovation through clinical trials and will provide leadership to advance patient experience outcomes. The position is based in Orlando, Florida and is part of our Cancer Institute, with locations across a regional network of 8 hospitals. 

A majority of this position is administrative time, with a portion of clinical work as well.  This practice is a part of AdventHealth Medical Group, formerly Florida Hospital Medical Group. Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Hematology/Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant

AdventHealth is looking for a dynamic, energetic, and clinically focused Blood and Marrow Transplant physician to join our program based in Orlando, Florida. This physician would have the opportunity to continue to help build a nationally leading program along with our three physicians, focused in the expansion of our growing BMT/Acute Leukemia/Cell Therapy program.

Our FACT-accredited, active BMT program continues to grow. In 2019 we performed approximately 150 transplants, including haplo.  Our outcomes have met or exceeded the national average over the last 10 years.  We have 32 dedicated beds on a new, state-of-the art inpatient unit, and we perform all donor source transplants including, autologous, allogeneic, cord blood, and Haplo-transplants.  We participate in transplant related NCI sponsored trials, CALGB and BMT Clinical Trial Network studies. We have a clinical trials office, dedicated research nurse, data manager, and data coordinators with opportunities and resources for investigator-initiated trials.

The Blood and Marrow Transplant Center at the AdventHealth Cancer Institute has performed more than 1500 blood and marrow transplants, providing successful therapy and treatment for a variety of conditions including aplastic anemia, leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and bone marrow failure syndromes.

The BMTC practice is nationally recognized for our pioneering work and we are Central Florida’s first and only comprehensive blood and marrow transplant program for both adult and pediatric patients. 

We are the only CART program in Central Florida with a focus on continued expansion of cellular therapy options for patients with hematologic and solid malignancies. 

A recent joint collaborative partnership with Moffitt Cancer Center will focus on achieving NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center status and the expansion of clinical and translational research opportunities for transplant physicians. 

Requirements for the position include: 

  • Board certification in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology
  • Physician applicant must have experience in both allogeneic and autologous transplants or have completed a BMT fellowship.

Location: Orlando Area, FL - Specialty: Hospice and Palliative Medicine

AdventHealth Hospice Care is seeking Hospice Team Physicians to oversee the medical components of the Hospice plan of care for each patient admitted to their team.  This physician and other members of the interdisciplinary team will focus on collaboration and delivering the highest level of patient care.  Our interdisciplinary teams consist of:  RN Case Manager, CNA, Social Worker, Patient Care Manager and Chaplain.

We are looking for two Team Physicians.  One physician will manage and have oversight of patients specifically within Long Term Care facilities and the other will manage and oversee patients throughout the noted service area of Orange, Seminole and Osceola Counties. 

AdventHealth Hospice Care is the only non-profit, local experts in compassionate, end-of-life care, serving Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties since 1990.  Our team provides individualized care and support to patients and families 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Because we are owned by AdventHealth, you have the full backing of our world-renowned hospital system.

Requirements for this position:

  • MD or DO
  • Ability to receive an unrestricted Florida Medical License
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, or ABMS specialty certification
  • Preferred but not required: Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Care 
  • Eligible to participate as a provider in the Medicare and Medicaid programs (including any successor program to either)

Summary of responsibilities (not limited to the following):

  • Team physicians are responsible for the management of patients on 2 teams, including managing medication needs/cost per patient. Each team consists of 70-90 patients
  • Monday – Friday 8am-5pm schedule:  will rotate nightly call coverage
  • Responsible for medication management including e-prescribing of medications daily.
  • Attends weekly team meetings as the medical director of the team, reviewing all patient management needs
  • Completing all certificates of terminal illness narratives for the team for each new admission.
  • Completing death certificates for patients assigned to team
  • Receives calls from admission nurses and patient care managers regarding eligibility, orders, and plan of care
  • Manages family matters including family conferences relating to current patients.
  • Communicates with team members and community physicians in regard to current and future patients
  • Conducting visits to patients in their home setting on an as needed basis
  • Educates team members on medical topics and inquiries
