Location: Winter Park, FL - Specialty: Family Medicine, Academic

AdventHealth Winter Park Family Medicine Residency Program is looking for a dynamic, hardworking, and broadly skilled Family Physician faculty member. Established in 1975 with over 550 graduates, the ACGME program is based at AdventHealth Winter Park Hospital, a 325-bed acute care facility. We are a 12-12-12 residency and have both geriatrics and women's health fellowships. The five-year ABFM pass rate is 100%. Faculty present at AAFP FMX, Florida AFP, and AAFP National Courses. There is excellent family medicine support through the System.  Opportunities for faculty development abound with the support of a seasoned Program Director.

Winter Park is a gorgeous city with parks, lakes, and year-round outdoor activities.  The beaches and local springs (Wekiva and Blue Springs) are one hour away.   The theme parks (Disney, Universal, and SeaWorld) are a close 20-30 minute drive.  This is a delightful environment in which to grow and thrive.

Ideal candidate should expect:

  • Inpatient and Outpatient responsibilities, OB deliveries optional
  • Call shared with eight faculty members: 2-3 call nights/month (phone call), 3-4 weekends hospital rounding per year
  • Opportunity to develop private patient base
  • Program growing lifestyle medicine pathway and outpatient ultrasound use (Sonosite and iButterfly in clinic)
  • Opportunity to participate in outpatient procedural skills to include dermatologic biopsies/ excisions, women's health procedures, MSK joint injections, and others

Duties will include clinical teaching in an outpatient setting for family medicine.  Outpatient responsibilities include 20-30% individual clinic, 40-50% precepting and teaching, and 20-30% admin.

A strong emphasis will be placed on evidence-based medicine with a concentration on patient centered care. Ideal candidate would have experience in academic medicine, strong communication skills, and fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth.

Board Certification in Family Medicine (ABMS) is required.

AdventHealth Graduate Medical Education in Orlando, Florida is looking for a dynamic, hardworking, and broadly skilled Family Medicine physician with a passion for teaching. This doctor would serve as one of the key faculty members in an academic role within the Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Program. He or she would focus on outpatient medicine while teaching our residents and medical students. The physician's duties will include his or her own personal family medicine clinic, precepting residents and medical students, giving didactic lectures, constructing curricula and evaluating residents and medical students. There is an opportunity to incorporate OMM into both clinical care and teaching. There is also an opportunity to become the Associate Program Director and/or the Osteopathic Recognition Director.

The ideal candidate would have experience in academic medicine, demonstrate leadership capabilities, strong communication skills, and fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth, formerly Florida Hospital. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not necessary.

This well-established ACGME Accredited Family Medicine Residency with Osteopathic Recognition is based at AdventHealth East Orlando, a 293 bed facility that is part of one of the largest healthcare systems in the country. The Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency at AdventHealth East Orlando, which has been training residents for over 30 years, is among the most progressive training programs in the osteopathic profession. The foundation for our family medicine residency is derived from the dedication of our faculty, continuity family medicine and pediatric clinics, didactic programs and innovative technology. We teach twenty four residents each academic year, ONMM3 residents, and osteopathic medical students. We are a core site for third year students from the Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University.

Board Certification in Family Medicine (AOBFP or ABFM) and in NMM (AOBNMM) is required.

AdventHealth Medical Group Community Medicine Clinic in Orlando, Florida is looking for a dynamic, hardworking, and broadly-skilled Family Medicine physician to serve as Medical Director.  This opportunity will lead the way in serving the needs of our low-income, non-urgent, uninsured patients as well as teaching Family Medicine residents and students.
