AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a dynamic Palliative Medicine physician to join our team in Altamonte Springs, FL. Our leadership has committed to ensure an interdisciplinary approach to providing care thus expanding the teams at our campuses. The inpatient division is composed of seven physicians, twelve APPs, six LCSWs and 2 chaplains over seven hospitals. The department has two fellowships, a one-year ACGME physician fellowship with two positions and a one year APP fellowship with two positions.
The current open position is for a physician leader at the Adventhealth Altamonte Springs location in northeast Orlando. The provider will join two full time APRN’s to provide inpatient consultations. Clinical care expectations include goals of care, family meetings and complex symptom management in the inpatient setting. The provider will join one APP and one social worker to provide inpatient consultations to our 295-bed community hospital. The program strives to foster a growth mindset and appreciates its wide diversity of providers backgrounds including psychiatry, family medicine, critical care and internal medicine.
The whole palliative inpatient division is composed of seven physicians, twelve APPs, six LCSWs and chaplains over seven hospitals. The department has two fellowships, a one-year ACGME physician fellowship with two positions and a one-year APP fellowship with two positions. The position does require that the physician provide rotations at the East Campus for our fellows.
Requirements of the position include: • Successful candidates will have strong clinical skills and desire to grow with the program • Board Certification/Eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine along with active board certification through one of the co-sponsoring boards. • Comfort level with overseeing APP’s (APRN/PA) • Comfort with education (Fellows/APPs)

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for a dynamic, innovative and energetic neonatologist to cover in our Level 2 NICU’s throughout AdventHealth across Central Florida. Our program at AdventHealth for Children has also been recognized as having the Best Newborn Care by US News and World Report. The flexible schedule includes both restricted (in house) and unrestricted call (at home) consisting of approximately 7 shifts a month. The Neonatologist will cover at our Level 2 NICUs within Central Florida. There will also be plans to hire in a team of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to cover the NICU at night. Additionally, we have a Pediatric Hospitalist on site managing the newborn service. The Neonatologist will need to be available, on call, for high risk deliveries.
The physicians will be part of a larger group of neonatologists that are part of AdventHealth for Children Orlando, formerly Florida Hospital for Children.
