AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is looking for several dynamic and energetic Gastroenterologists to serve the needs of Volusia and Flagler counties, north of Orlando through the Atlantic coastal line of Florida.  Opportunities exist within the following locations:  Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, DeLand and Palm Coast.  AHMG Gastroenterology and Hepatology is seeking partners with the desire to build a practice and foster collegial relationships with community-based physicians. Strong referral base and access to supporting specialists would allow physicians to quickly build a robust patient base and provide a continuum of care. Our gastroenterology network is aligned with our Digestive Health Institute providing multidisciplinary care to patients across the spectrum of digestive disease.

Ideal candidate should expect:

•    Daily work schedule of outpatient and inpatient care
•    Desire to handle a very high-volume case load
•    Practice all aspects of general Gastroenterology
•    Busy ED call at one hospital
•    Demonstrate excellent communication skills
•    Ability to start a new or join an established practice
•    Work in a small town or large, tertiary hospital system 
•    Access to GI hospitalist coverage in select locations 

A strong emphasis will be placed on evidence-based medicine with a concentration on patient centered care. The new physician should have the desire to join a busy practice and fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth.  ERCP and EUS preferred, but not required.

Board Certification in Gastroenterology (ABMS or AOA) is required.

AdventHealth Medical Group Gastroenterology is seeking a dynamic and energetic, board certified Gastroenterologist to join their busy practice in beautiful Orlando, Florida.  Ideal candidate should practice all aspects of Gastroenterology and be able to handle a high-volume case load.  ERCP training is preferred, but not required. Daily work schedule will include inpatient rounding/procedures with support from the medical team at two campuses, AdventHealth East Orlando and AdventHealt Winter Park. AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is looking for two dynamic Gastroenterologist Hospitalists to be part of our team for inpatient Gastroenterology. This employment opportunity is for a Gastroenterologist with a primary interest in a hospital setting. Physician would have responsibility at either AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach OR AdventHealth Palm Coast to cover inpatient GI consults from the floor and emergency department. Candidate would also perform procedures in the hospital setting and should practice all aspects of Gastroenterology. Candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a desire to build and foster collegial relationships with community based physicians. Our gastroenterology network is aligned with our Digestive Health Institute providing multidisciplinary care to patients across the spectrum of digestive disease. Active Florida license is a plus.

AdventHealth is seeking an experienced IBD physician to lead our program at AdventHealth Orlando.  The IBD Program Director will be joining an established group of six gastroenterologists with APP support, along with a second IBD focused physician.  This would be a new program to develop in coordination with our Digestive Health and Surgery Institute.  This is mostly a clinically focused role, but it does include dedicated administrative hours that will help provide needed time for program development.   Practice is staffed with medical assistants, scribes and program support staff of a social worker and RN Navigators. 

Requirements:

  • Board certification in Gastroenterology though ABMS or AOA
  • Fellowship training in Inflammatory Bowel Disease
  • 5-10 years of practice experience preferred

Candidate can expect:

  • 20% Administrative time – program development, networking, creating an integrated referral network, recruitment of support staff, marketing, educational conference attendance and presentations
  • 80% clinical facing time

Geriatric Medicine

Location: Celebration, FL - Specialty: Geriatric Medicine

AdventHealth Well 65+ is searching for an empathetic, high quality physician to join our faith-based organization in our brand-new state of the art facility in Celebration. We are in search of our final physician to join the group of (3) total physicians and (1) advanced practice provider dedicated to coordinating and delivering whole person care to those 65 and older.  The practice is a Medicare full risk clinic and candidates will require a desire to manage and treat the full spectrum of needs in this senior population. 

The physician will be committed to utilizing the full spectrum of their training skills for chronic disease management, acute issues, and prevent unnecessary referrals to specialists. The physician will be expected to manage a smaller panel size in conjunction with an expanded care team.  This team will include multiple health coaches per physician, a practice RN per every two physicians, an embedded social worker, HCC coding support, and remote pharmacy consultation.  The focus for this practice will include improved patient access, increased quality, increased patient satisfaction, reduction in unnecessary utilization of health care resources, and delivery of whole person care.

Requirements:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible physician in the specialties of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
  • Fellowship in Geriatrics or Population Health is preferred but not required.

This position is based in DeLand, Florida, about 40 minutes north of downtown Orlando.  This employment opportunity is for a physician who has a passion for clinical excellence and be willing to build a patient base within the local community. Physician should have a desire to practice general gynecology and perform  surgery at one hospital with access to multiple specialties within the area.

AdventHealth Cancer Institute, formerly Florida Hospital Cancer Institute, is looking for a dynamic, charismatic, and experienced oncologist to lead our Breast Medical Oncology Program.  The Breast Oncology Medical Director is responsible for the development and deployment of tumor specific pathways and standards of care as well as the clinical/translational research agenda.  This position will also provide leadership to achieve clinical quality improvement outcomes, as well as to achieve efficiency of care improvement outcomes.  AdventHealth Cancer Institute in the Central Florida area sees over 1000 newly diagnosed breast cancer cases each year. 

The Medical Director will collaborate with academia, industry and physicians to advance innovation through clinical trials and will provide leadership to advance patient experience outcomes. The position is based in Orlando, Florida and is part of our Cancer Institute, with locations across a regional network of 8 hospitals.
