Location: New Smyrna Beach, FL - Specialty: Hematology / Oncology

We have an exciting opportunity to help expand AdventHealth’s Hematology Oncology presence throughout Volusia County and in New Smyrna Beach on Florida’s beautiful East Coast. The practice is looking for two team-oriented fellowship trained hematologist oncologists to join us. This opportunity would provide inpatient coverage at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach and will have a dedicated outpatient clinic attached to the hospital along with infusion and radiation oncology also on site. The team will manage a variety of hematology and oncology patients. The physicians would have the opportunity to participate in research, clinical trials and established multi-disciplinary tumor boards. Rotation of call would be shared with the other physicians and advanced practice provider in the practice. There is also an exciting opportunity for a leadership position within this practice.

Location: Kissimmee, FL - Specialty: Hematology / Oncology

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a fellowship trained hematologist oncologist to join a busy four-physician practice with offices at AdventHealth Kissimmee and AdventHealth Celebration, just south of downtown Orlando and near the attractions. The ideal candidate will have an interest in Breast Oncology and will also continue to manage general hematology/oncology patients. We are in the process of establishing a breast multidisciplinary clinic at AdventHealth Kissimmee and the new physician will have an active role in this program. Rotation of call would include both inpatient and outpatient in equal share with the other physicians. This is a new position to accommodate the growth of the practice and community.

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Hepatology, Transplant

AdventHealth Transplant Institute in Orlando, Formerly Florida Hospital Transplant Institute, is seeking a Transplant Hepatologist to join its Liver Transplant program. Established in 2007, the Liver Transplant program has transplanted more than 600 patients and continues to grow every year. AdventHealth owns and operates the OurLegacy Organ Procurement Organization which recovers an average of 100 deceased donor livers annually. Our team of hepatologists, liver transplant surgeons, intensivists, interventional radiologists, liver pathologists, gastroenterologists, nephrologists and medical oncologists among other specialists combine their expertise to provide seamless integrated patient care.

We are looking for a motivated team member interested in a career path in transplant hepatology. Fellowship training in transplant hepatology is required. AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and quality focused physician leader to join our growing team of hospitalists at our highly rated, 164 bed Hospital in DeLand, FL. 

We are seeking a physician leader with a collaborative  leadership style who will model and lead excellence in clinical practice, doctor-patient relationships, and professionalism while maintaining AdventHealth’ s Mission, Vision, Values. 

AdventHealth DeLand’s team consists of (8) day physicians, (2) nocturnists, and (2) APP’s. The APP support is in a swing shift role to assist with ED through put. Our hospitalists work in teams rotating a 7 on /7   off schedule. Our shifts run from (7a-7p) and (7p-7a).

Schedule for the assistant director is 7 on / 7 off Day (182 shifts per year) with both clinical and administrative duties and protected time to accomplish administrative responsibilities.

  Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the medical director with the oversight of quality improvement projects, to ensure compliance with hospital quality of care and safety programs
  • Developing program goals
  • Conducting ongoing individual assessments of providers
  • Orient and coach hospitalists who are new to the Program
  • Working with medical group and hospital leadership to assist with operational efficiencies and budget cost management
  • Assist with, promote, and attend meeting   
  • Assist in development of educational programs related to the hospitalist providers. 
  • Coordination of hospitalist schedule (via AMION) to ensure program efficiency and productivity while ensuring safe and quality patient care.
  • Assist in receiving, investigating, and resolving patient or physician grievances, care opportunities, complaints, and/or questions related to the AHMG Hospitalist program.

  • Clinical management and comprehensive evaluation of inpatient neurological patients

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking an experienced and dynamic Infectious Disease physician to serve as our Executive Medical Director of Infection Prevention.  This position will include a majority of administrative time with a smaller portion of the role as clinical depending on the physician’s interests and experience.

The Executive Director would foster a culture of performance improvement and coordinate the systematic implementation of best practices designed to reduce errors and improve patient outcomes. This physician leader would work closely with designated medical staff and hospital administration, hospital departments, and committees to carry out all functions incorporated into the infection prevention and control program.  This role would also work with our academic teams in our residency programs and interact closely with our medical staff leadership teams to adopt best practices.  Position would report from a clinical standpoint directly to our Chief Medical Officer.  

Requirements:

  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine (ABIM or AOA)
  • Board Certification in Infectious Disease 
  • Minimum of 5 years practice experience post fellowship
  • Recent leadership experience in a healthcare environment
  • Epidemiology experience is preferred

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a dynamic and hardworking physician to serve as a core faculty member for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. Based at the tertiary hospital just north of downtown Orlando, this Internal Medicine Residency Program accepts 12 new residents each academic year. Internal medicine subspecialties (Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, Rheumatology) are needed in our system and would be considered along with general internists/hospitalists for the core faculty position. The physician's duties will include clinical teaching in an outpatient and inpatient setting as well as seeing private patients and developing research projects in conjunction with residents and other faculty. Physician candidate would be considered core faculty and would need to be broadly skilled in Internal Medicine. Mix of general medicine and subspecialty practice will be individualized based on candidate’s experience. A strong emphasis will be placed on clinical teaching skills. AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and quality focused physician leader to enthusiastically lead our growing team of hospitalists who currently cover our 5 CMS and Leapfrog highly rated AdventHealth hospitals within Volusia and Lake counties.

We are seeking a physician leader with a collaborate leadership style who will model and lead excellence in clinical practice, doctor-patient relationships, and professionalism while maintaining AdventHealth’ s Mission, Vision, Values; with the goal of building a stable cohesive team that interacts seamlessly with patients, hospital medical staff, nursing, administration, and ancillary staff. The Regional Hospitalist Medical Director is the representative of the programs and must be enthusiastically engaged with all stakeholders.

AdventHealth Medical Group’s hospitalist team covers 5 AdventHealth hospitals, each hospital is supported with a designated Director and Assistant Director to help lead and oversee each campus’s team.

Schedule for the regional medical director Monday through Friday with primary administrative responsibilities and participation in clinical patient care, minimally two times a month rotating at each of the campuses, with the exception of AdventHealth Fish Memorial.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversight of quality improvement projects, to ensure compliance with hospital quality of care and safety programs meet all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Developing program goals and strategic plans.
  • Collaborate with Regional/Site Leadership to coordinate care during emergencies.
  • Conducting ongoing individual assessments of providers.
  • Serve as Network Operations Council (NOC) representative for hospitalist medicine.

  • Provide oversight, mentoring and direction to Hospitalist Medical Directors and Assistant Medical Directors. Identify and mentor future leaders. 
  • Chair and conduct monthly Hospitalist Operations Council meetings with all Hospitalist Leaders to discuss operational, financial, and quality updates/initiatives. 
  • Meet with Hospital Executive Leadership regularly to provide feedback of services rendered, performance outcomes, quality improvement processes and overall patient satisfaction.  Provide updates to stakeholders as requested. 
  • Represent AHMG for corporate medical initiatives.
  • Working with medical group and hospital leadership to assist with operational efficiencies and budget cost management.
  • Implement appropriate tracking systems for success measures and reports as required.
  • Development of educational programs related to the hospitalist providers.

We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic medical geneticist to join our team at AdventHealth Medical Genetics & Genomics clinic-Orlando. Successful candidate would join our two other physicians and genetic counselors and continue to grow our program working within our multidisciplinary teams of experienced clinicians in (pediatric and adult) cardiology, gastroenterology, general pediatrics, hematology/oncology, MFM, neurology and transplantation surgery. We aspire to provide comprehensive state of the art genetic and genomic services to all patients within the AdventHealth system (locally, regionally and nationally).

The new physician would have the ability to work in both an outpatient and inpatient setting along with fulfilling personal research and teaching interests. Requirements include board eligibility or board certification in Clinical Genetics through the American Board of Medical Genetics & Genomics. 

Our physicians are working directly with our state-of-the-art neonatology and pediatric liver transplant programs to develop a metabolic disorders program at AdventHealth for Children that will provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for infants, children, and adolescents with various metabolic diseases.
