AdventHealth, formerly Florida Hospital, Waterman in Tavares, FL is seeking a dynamic and energetic, board certified Internal Medicine physician to join an existing practice in Lake County.

Our goal is to complement and expand upon AdventHealth Medical Group's (formerly Florida Hospital Medical Group) Primary Care physician base in the Lake County area. You would have the opportunity to focus on outpatient care only or incorporate inpatient care if desired. You will also collaborate with the system's highly-regarded specialists to maintain a preeminent Primary Care service for the AdventHealth Waterman community.

Ideal candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills as marketing and media opportunities are required for these positions. EMR is currently being implemented in the outpatient practices.

AdventHealth Neuroscience Institute, and AdventHealth Medical Group (formerly Florida Hospital) are seeking General Neurologists and neurology subspecialty leaders for our expanding program in Central Florida.  We are growing into one comprehensive team that will help to grow outpatient practices as well as provide limited inpatient coverage among our eight-hospital system in Orlando.  New physicians would join with our existing team of neurologists to provide general neurology care and/or subspecialty care.   

Medical Directors are sought with fellowship training in the following areas:

  • Behavioral Neurology (Alzheimer's / Dementia)
  • Movement Disorders
  • MS / Neuroimmunology

AdventHealth Orlando is continuing to grow its Neuroscience Institute, with a new outpatient clinic facility opening in 2019. We are planning for a new Neuro Critical Care Fellowship with an anticipated launch in 2019.  The ideal candidates would also be able to lead our efforts in neurology research, care analytics, quality and outcomes. Our Neuroscience Institute at AdventHealth Orlando consists of 120 dedicated neurology beds which includes 40 neuro-intensive care units, 8 dedicated neurosurgical OR suites with an intraoperative 3T MRI and 64 slice CT, FDG-PET, SPECT, and MEG lab.  

AdventHealth Orlando has been awarded the highest designation, a Level 4 Epilepsy Center, by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC).  Our epilepsy center provides most advanced epilepsy care including full spectrum of neurodiagnostic monitoring, ketogenic diet, stereo-EEG using robotic system (ROSA) and Laser interstitial thermal ablation (LITT).  Our program performs more epilepsy surgeries annually than anywhere else in Florida. 

AdventHealth also has an advanced comprehensive stroke center providing endovascular procedures 24/7. Our neurosurgery program performed more craniotomy and spine surgery than any other hospitals in Florida. Our minimally invasive brain surgery program is one of the best in the state and draws patients nationally and internationally.   

Note: Physicians must be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.  Medical Director candidates must have fellowship training.

This highly successful practice draws patients from the Tavares, Mount Dora and Eustis areas and care is provided in a newly renovated unit specially designed for women & children’s services. 

The practice is split with a fairly equal mix of OB and GYN patients. This office is well equipped with spacious exam rooms and is staffed for in-office procedures, and current support staff includes MA's and seasoned front office personnel. All deliveries and surgeries are performed at Florida Hospital Waterman. The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Desire to join a highly collegial team of experienced physicians in an employed model through AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG)
  • Experienced with laparoscopic surgery
  • Comfort with engaging members of the community to help expand market share

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Palliative Medicine

AdventHealth, formerly Florida Hospital, is seeking dynamic and hardworking Palliative Medicine physicians to join our team within our system in Orlando. AdventHealth has a growing physician-led program that will give you the opportunity to work with our existing palliative care team.  We direct inpatient consultation services at a tertiary hospital with a dedicated inpatient unit, with plans to roll-out outpatient clinics. This position comes with opportunities for mentorship, scholarship, working with team-based faculty, and a palliative fellowship. Team members include dedicated advanced practitioners, chaplains, child-life specialists, a pharmacist and case-managers. You will provide inpatient palliative consultation services to patients in a hospital setting. In addition, you will hold family meetings to discuss and clarify goals of care, as well as provide guidance and oversee symptom management in the inpatient and ambulatory setting.  This program emphasizes patient and family-centered care and collaboration with a team of physicians from every specialty. There is an opportunity to work with residents and fellows.

Our current needs are at AdventHealth East Orlando and an additional physician for AdventHealth Celebration and AdventHealth Kissimmee. At these locations, bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.

Requirements of the position include:

The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children (AHFC) - formerly Florida Hospital for Children - and AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) - formerly Florida Hospital Medical Group - are looking for a dynamic and experienced Chief in Pediatric Cardiology to lead our growing program. The group is open to both noninvasive and interventional cardiology backgrounds. The new leader will also have experience with both inpatient and outpatient settings, including outreach strategies. The position will involve clinical responsibilities with protected administrative time.

The pediatric cardiology division is part of a full-service program including six cardiologists (with plans to continue to grow), two world class cardiothoracic surgeons, a robust intensive care group, top cardiac anesthesia and surgical results rivaling any program in the country. Our state of the art hybrid catherization laboratory see over 150 diagnostic/interventional procedures and over 125 electrophysiology procedures annually. We also performed over 200 surgeries in 2018.  There is a robust adult congenital cardiology population and we have a board certified adult congenital cardiologist in the group. AdventHealth (formerly Florida Hospital) for Children is seeking Pediatric Intensivists to join our growing team which is expanding to 12 physicians.  Depending on background and training, responsibilities of the new physician will include clinical time in our CICU (10 beds) or the Med/Surg ICU (22 beds).  We have an active Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Program, a pediatric residency program with six residents per year and clinical research opportunities.

Requirements include: 

  • Clinical expertise in Pediatric ICU 
  • Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Critical Care
