Location: Celebration, FL - Specialty: Pediatric, Neonatology

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for a dynamic, innovative and energetic neonatologist to cover in our Level 2 NICU at AdventHealth Celebration located in Celebration, Florida.  Our program at AdventHealth for Children has also been recognized as having the Best Newborn Care by US News and World Report.  The flexible schedule includes both restricted (in house) and unrestricted call (at home) consisting of approximately 14 shifts a month.  The Neonatologist will cover the 10 bed Level 2 NICU at AdventHealth Celebration.  There will also be a Pediatric Hospitalist on site managing the newborn service.   The Neonatologist will need to be available, on call, for high risk deliveries.  AdventHealth Celebration is averaging more than 3,000 deliveries a year. This program is built for two full time neonatologists and will also include a rotation at our 102 bed Level 3 NICU at AdventHealth for Women in Orlando, Florida.

The physicians will be part of a larger group of neonatologists that are part of AdventHealth for Children Orlando, formerly Florida Hospital for Children. Our regional network includes a delivery volume of approximately 15,000 births per year. We have a dedicated Neonatal transport team and are supported by experienced Pediatric Subspecialists.

AdventHealth Celebration is a 310 bed, state-of-the-art hospital that serves as a showcase of innovation and excellence in healthcare. This position would also have the support of our Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children in Orlando is a full service, tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, including a 22 bed PICU, 10 bed Cardiac ICU, a 102 bed NICU, 17 bed pediatric emergency department and statewide pediatric network and transport system.  We started our comprehensive pediatric open-heart program in 2012 and have a strong track record of positive outcomes.  We also have several key destination programs including our level IV Epilepsy program, and we increased Orlando area NICU beds to 150 total in 2017.  Our unparalleled network consists of 30 hospitals across the state with one children’s hospital at the center and several extremely successful pediatric subspecialty programs including outreach clinics.  Our newest program has brought pediatric liver transplant services to Central Florida.  In 2019 and 2020, AdventHealth for Children is recognized by US News and World Report as the best Children’s Hospital for newborn care in Florida.  We are also recognized by The Leapfrog Group as a top Children’s Hospital for quality and safety, and we are a magnet designated hospital for nursing care. 

Location: Melbourne, FL - Specialty: Pediatric, Neonatology

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic, innovative and energetic neonatologists as we expand our group at the Level 2 NICU at Holmes Regional Medical Center (HRMC) in Melbourne, Florida.  The flexible schedule includes both restricted (in house) and unrestricted call (at home) consisting of approximately 14 shifts a month.  The Neonatologist in collaboration with a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, will cover the 10 bed Level 2 NICU at HRMC along with the newborn service.  The Neonatologist will also be available, on call, for high risk deliveries.  This program is built for two neonatologists and two NNP’s.  In addition to the NICU and newborn service there is also an inpatient pediatric floor that is managed by the Pediatric Hospitalist team.

The physicians will be part of a larger group of neonatologists that are part of AdventHealth for Children Orlando, formerly Florida Hospital for Children. Our regional network includes a delivery volume of approximately 23,000 births per year. We have a dedicated Neonatal transport team and are supported by experienced Pediatric Subspecialists.

Location: Altamonte Springs, FL - Specialty: Physical Medicine and Rehab, Pain Management

AdventHealth Medical Group Spine Health at Altamonte Springs is looking for a dynamic and team-oriented Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician to join our established destination program.  This position is for a PM&R trained physician to help build and grow the practice in new markets around the Orlando area.  This opportunity is focused on growing 2 satellite offices, one in Apopka and one in Oviedo, all within a 15-30 minute drive from our main office located in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The new physician will have the ability to shape his/her practice based on subspecialty interests. 

With the leadership of the medical director, Dr. Chetan Patel, this physician will have the opportunity to provide the best care and treatment options for patients with neck and back pain.  We have full multidisciplinary services at AHMG Spine Health that include rehab and sports medicine, wellness, psychology, pain medicine, procedures, and outcomes based research.  The position would be based in an outpatient setting for patient consultations and injections.  Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.

Physicians with an academic interest would find this position appealing as Dr. Patel is actively engaged in multiple FDA and European clinical trials and continues to serve as a faculty member for multiple spine societies.  He is the Robotics and Navigation Section chairman for the North American Society.  At AHMG Spine Health at Altamonte Springs, he has helped establish a comprehensive research database on operative and non-operative treatment of spine patients with the goal of reporting outcomes based on evidence based spinal treatment and refining clinical algorithms.   The new physician would have the opportunity to teach, participate in our research database and author multiple publications. 

Our philosophy is to offer a fully coordinated, comprehensive whole-person approach to neck and back pain, including advanced diagnostic services as well as non-surgical care options, interventional and surgical treatments. 

Requirements of the position include: 

  • ACGME fellowship training in Pain Medicine.
  • Active Board Certification/Eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation along with board certification/eligibility in Pain Medicine.

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Physician Assistant

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking an experienced NeuroICU Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our expanding critical care team. The APP would be based out of AdventHealth Orlando, which has approximately 165 critical care beds. Our Neuro Critical Care unit is currently 28 beds, with the capacity to increase to 40 beds. Our group is currently looking to continue to grow its comprehensive and successful 24/7 closed ICU model.

The APP would serve as a member of the Neurocritical Care team by assisting in management of critically ill patients at AdventHealth. The PA/APRN applies specialized skills and knowledge related to Neuro ICU settings in which they practice, contributes to excellence in patient care, research, teaching, and consulting at AdventHealth.

General Summary:

Under physician direction and within the credentialing standards of the Hospital, the APP will assist with:

• Providing direct clinical services for critically ill adult patients with multi-system failure, utilizing evidence-based clinical practice standards under the supervision of the patient’s physician

• Obtains patient health histories and complete physical examinations and documents findings in accordance with hospital requirements

• Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests, explaining the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of procedure(s) to patients, patient's family, staff and healthcare learners

• Performs CPR; airway management including bag and mask ventilation, endotracheal intubation and extubation; directing administration of life supporting drugs, and defibrillation

• Inserts and manages arterial catheters, central venous catheters, pulmonary artery catheters, and other procedures commensurate with an ICU environment

• Interfaces patients with monitoring and instrumentation equipment and directs and educates others in performing the same functions

• Perform admissions and consultations to the NeuroICU and Neuro-intermediate unit Rounds with Neuro- Intensivist, provides cross coverage on the patients rounded on earlier

• Formulates and implements a treatment plan for acute illness management in collaboration with the designated primary supervising physician and/or attending back-up physician(s) and documents in medical records and appropriate narrative summaries

• Assesses patients for changes in status and institutes appropriate interventions, including initiation of necessary emergency interventions to stabilize patient

• Participates and assists with the pre-, peri-, and postoperative management of the patients admitted to the

ICU Schedule Details:

• All Inpatient - 14 (12-hour) shifts per month

• No call

• Provide cross coverage on the 40 beds combined unit

• Perform admissions to Neuro ICU and Nero-Intermediate Unit

• Day and Night Coverage; 7 am – 7 pm or 7 pm – 7 am

Required Education & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Nursing (Acute Care Certification) or Physician Assistant Studies

• 1 – 2 years’ experience in the NeuroICU as a PA or ACNP

• Experience as an RN in the NeuroICU (Highly preferred but not required)

Licensure, Certification, & Registration:

• Current, valid Florida PA or APRN license

• Certification by NCCPA, ANCC, or other nationally recognized certification organization

• BLS & ACLS

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent

AdventHealth for Children is seeking a dynamic, energetic and experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to lead our team based at the Walt Disney Pavilion (website) in Orlando, Florida.  The new Medical Director would help establish our program in our Central Florida area and develop our team including a nurse practitioner, clinical psychologist, LMHC, RN and a care navigator.   Majority of time will be in a clinical capacity, but physician will have some dedicated time for administrative responsibilities including working with community partners.  New physician will work to develop pathways for our patients to be seen quickly from our inpatient floors and/or the emergency department.  This is an outpatient opportunity with a dedicated space just north of our Children’s Hospital campus near downtown Orlando.  

We have a robust Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics program, neuropsychology, a pediatric residency program, and a full team of over 200 subspecialists at AdventHealth for Children.  We have a network of 30 hospitals in the state with an extensive outreach system as well.  This includes multiple outpatient locations with a multidisciplinary presence.   We deliver approximately 23,000 babies per year throughout our system. 

Requirements of the position

  • Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • At least 5 years’ experience post fellowship
  • Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Pulmonology

AdventHealth Orlando’s Advanced Lung Disease Institute is looking for an experienced leader to develop our subspecialty program in Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD). This would be an opportunity to build a program from the ground up.

Clinical responsibilities will include provision of care (inpatient and outpatient) for patients with Advanced Pulmonary Disease, and with specific focus on Interstitial Lung disease. The opportunity for close collaboration with the Lung Transplant, Pulmonary Hypertension and Rheumatology teams is anticipated as is the ability to train students, residents and fellows.

Leadership responsibilities would include building a multidisciplinary team for the inpatient and outpatient care of ILD patients, leading and developing the clinical quality program for ILD care; active participation in regional, national, and international ILD meetings and conferences; education of residents and staff; community outreach; and program development. The physician leader would also be involved with building a core team of employed and independent physicians working to improve the ILD services within our system of fifteen (15) Central Florida hospital locations and eventually within our statewide hospitals. Overall dedicated time to the administrative portion of this role will fall between 20-40%.

Requirements for ILD Medical Director:

  • Fellowship training in Pulmonary Medicine
  • Board certification through ABMS or AOA in Pulmonology
  • Ideal candidate would have at least five years of experience post fellowship and demonstrated experience in a leadership role in an ILD program
  • Experience in Lung Transplant, Pulmonary Hypertension or Critical Care Medicine is welcomed but not required
  • Demonstrated excellence in clinical research

AdventHealth Medical Group Radiology - Central Florida, formerly Radiology Specialists of Florida, is seeking a full-time, ABR fellowship trained Body Radiologist to join its expanding practice of 140 radiologists. We are currently the largest radiology practice in Central Florida which includes 34 collegial, dedicated body imagers. Our facilities provide approximately 2 million exams via a large referral base of more than 3000 medical staff.

Candidates can expect sub-specialization in body imaging only. No mammo required.

Our main campus is a tertiary referral center for Central Florida with a large cancer and transplant population. This provides a large volume of advanced body MRI. Our hospital system has multiple residency programs including our own residency with 4 residents per year.

The ideal candidate would also have procedural skills to rotate with other body radiologists on dedicated procedural rotations covering CT and US procedures. 

Candidate should expect:

  • Days schedule with occasional evening coverage equal to other day radiologists. Most evenings are covered by dedicated, evenings only radiologists.
  • NO overnight responsibility with subspecialized internal overnight coverage.

Our facilities provide approximately 2 million exams via a large referral base of more than 3000 medical staff covering 16 hospitals.

Candidates can live anywhere is the US (except California) and work remotely if needed. The ability to work on site in Central Florida is also available. Candidates with an active Florida license are preferred.

Most of the work focuses on body ER and inpatient cases. No level one trauma. Cardiac CT experience would be a plus. There is additional separate neuroradiology and MSK coverage during the overnight shift.

The schedule is currently 14 days on/ 14 days. Every overnight radiologist is teamed up with another radiologist to cover the entire year. Additional internal moonlighting opportunities also are available for additional compensation.

Candidate should expect:

  • Overnight Only Schedule covering shifts either from 10 pm – 6 am, or 11 pm – 7am, Eastern time
  • 24 hr. 3D postprocessing lab
