AdventHealth Graduate Medical Education in Orlando, Florida is seeking a dynamic, hardworking, and broadly skilled Osteopathic Family Medicine physician to serve as Program Director for the Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Program. Ranked by US News and World Report, AdventHealth Orlando has consecutively been awarded “Best Hospital” for the past fourteen years in Central Florida.

This well-established residency program is based at AdventHealth East Orlando, a 295-bed facility that is part of one of the largest healthcare systems in the country.  The Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency at East Orlando is among the most progressive training programs in the osteopathic profession.  The foundation for our family medicine residency is derived from the dedication of our faculty, continuity family medicine and pediatric clinics, didactic programs and innovative technology.  We teach eight new residents each academic year, along with two new residents each year in the ONMM3 residency. Our main medical school affiliations is with Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

The physician's duties will include clinical teaching in an outpatient setting.  An opportunity to teach on the inpatient ONMM consult service is available for qualified candidates. Candidate would also have the opportunity to develop a private patient base seeing his/her own patients in dedicated time each week.  A strong emphasis will be placed on clinical teaching skills focused on preventative and evidence-based medicine.  50% clinical, 50% administrative duties. A minimum of three years’ experience in Osteopathic Family Medicine is preferred.

The ideal candidate would have experience in leading an osteopathic program and should bring a vision to increase academic activity including research, posters, and presentations. Dynamic communication skills and the ability to fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth are required. Overview:

The AdventHealth Transplant Institute (AHTI) is seeking a fellowship-trained Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist to serve as Director of the Cardiac Amyloidosis Program. This physician leader will oversee the continued growth of a comprehensive multidisciplinary amyloidosis program and build a premier regional referral program for cardiac amyloidosis within one of the nation's busiest Advanced Heart Failure, LVAD, and Heart Transplant centers.

Position Highlights:

As Director of the Cardiac Amyloidosis Program, you will:

• Lead and grow a comprehensive multidisciplinary cardiac amyloidosis program in a rapidly expanding Central Florida market

• Expand an established regional referral network for ATTR and AL cardiac amyloidosis throughout Central Florida and beyond

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hematology, neurology, nephrology, genetics, cardiac imaging, nursing, and research

The AdventHealth Transplant Institute is seeking a dynamic, fellowship-trained advanced heart failure transplant cardiologist to join the heart program in Celebration Florida. The cardiologist would work in an exciting and thriving transplant program with the full AdventHealth healthcare system support (50 hospitals in nine states including 30 in Florida. The physician would have the benefit of cross coverage for advanced heart failure/ transplant call and work with a comprehensive team including surgeons, cardiologists, coordinators, dieticians, pharmacists, therapists and social workers. The Transplant Institute also offers a vibrant and growing Mechanical Circulatory Support Device program as well and a fully developed ECMO program. Our team performs 40-45 hearts and 30-50 mechanical circulatory support devices per year with multi organ transplant capability.  We also have a robust cardiogenic shock program with over 250 temporary mechanical circulatory devices implanted per year and state of the art 9900 shock unit.  

The AdventHealth Transplant Institute is located just outside downtown Orlando close to the charming Winter Park community. In September 2020, AdventHealth Orlando opened a state-of-the-art 32 bed critical care unit dedicated to the cardio thoracic transplant service. AdventHealth has a hospital-based organ procurement organization (Our Legacy which is a top performing OPO in the United States).

This physician will help continue to grow a new market in association with our physicians and advanced practice providers. Responsibilities will include inpatient and outpatient general cardiology. This position is a result of programmatic and company-wide growth as we continue to support and establish high quality Quaternary Critical Care services to our Central Florida Region. The physician would join AHMG Critical Care Specialists of Central Florida, a 100 plus employed provider intensive care team, which reaches over 15 other AdventHealth campuses throughout Central, North and West Florida, in addition to providing tele-medicine services across multiple states. We take care of and encounter over 20,000 critically-ill patients a year.

Position & Program Highlights:

• Dedicated administrative time and clinical involvement managing CABG, Valvular repair or replacement, Aortic dissections and Thoracic surgery patients.

• Collaborate with experienced and established intensivists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and cardiologists to help continue to grow and establish a high quality and highly sustainable Cardiovascular Critical Care program.

• Leading the clinical quality for CVICU care, including quality metrics and quality assurance teams.

• Active participation in regional, national meetings and conferences.

• Education of APP’S, medical critical care fellows and new staff.

  • Physicians will have responsibility to cover our Cardiovascular ICU unit, including our pos-operative CV surgical ICU and ECMO/Transplant ICU.
