Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Physical Medicine and Rehab

AdventHealth is searching for a dynamic, hard-working, board certified (or board eligible) physiatrist interested mainly in inpatient consultations along with a small portion of outpatient practice. This physician would help provide consults at our large tertiary hospital,  AdventHealth Orlando, along with some weekend coverage at Winter Park, which houses our new beautiful inpatient rehab unit.  Outpatient follow up clinic is estimated at a half day per week for the first year. 

Work with our existing, highly experienced physiatrists and a terrific support team of neuropsychologists, therapists, skilled nurses, and dietitians. A full range of medical and surgical specialists also provide care for our patients on this unit.

In late 2019, we moved to a brand new, dedicated unit at Winter Park Memorial Hospital with capacity of 60 beds.  Our units currently hold specialty certifications in Stroke and Brain Injury. The new physician would work alongside three other physicians as we expand our team even further in the upcoming years.  Patient mix includes majority of cases in stroke and brain injury as well as some ortho and spinal cord injuries.

AdventHealth Family Medicine Residency in Orlando, Florida is hiring a PhD level behaviorist to join our faculty to educate and empower the next generation of family physicians. The behavioral medicine faculty is an essential member of our team and a faculty colleague. The position itself will be 60-70% clinical and 30-40% administrative. The clinical time will be a mix of precepting residents and individually rendered patient clinical care. The ideal candidate would have some level of both clinical experience as well as educational experience working with residents. We welcome interests in lifestyle medicine, addiction medicine and diversity training. Opportunities for faculty development abound with the support of a seasoned Program Director.

Requirements:

PsyD in Clinical Psychology, APA Accredited

Program background information:

AdventHealth Winter Park Family Medicine Residency Program is an established, premier training site for family medicine residents with almost five decades of experience. Our board certification rate for the past five years is 100%. Residents graduate and are hired both locally and regionally as outpatient physicians, hospitalists, and as fellows in multiple types of fellowships. Our faculty speak at regional, national, and international academic venues. Our Centre for Family Medicine is a delightful clinic/academic office space just across the street from the hospital. The Center for Health and Wellbeing, our gym, is also just across the street and serves as our weekly meeting site for Walk with a Doc.

The gorgeous Winter Park location is located 15 minutes from downtown Orlando, 30 minutes from Disney, Universal, and Sea World. General Summary:

Utilizes expertise in patient/family assessment incorporating physical, psycho-social, environmental, spiritual, and financial factors to assess patients for barriers that interfere with the attainment of healthcare goals. • Responsible for assessment and treatment of individuals with mental, emotional, social or substance abuse problems, including abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and/or other related drugs.

  • Educates the health care team and physicians about psycho-social issues and identified patient/family problems as well as recommends strategies to address these issues.
  • Provide structured, evidence-based psychotherapy as part of an appropriate treatment plan.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the primary care providers to improve health outcomes.
  • Facilitate referrals to other services (e.g. substance abuse treatment, specialty care and community resources as needed).
  • Collaboration with local community agencies and school systems to support mental health services.
  • Provide clinical therapeutic services to patients, including individual and group therapy and coordination of treatment for participants with co-occurring disorders.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of activities and services provided to each client.
  • Provides ongoing patient/family and staff education.

AdventHealth Orlando and AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) are looking for a dynamic and innovative Pulmonologist to join an established practice of over 30 years in the beautiful Winter Park, Florida. This position would have dedicated inpatient and outpatient time focused on General Pulmonology.

The physician will work with our currently experienced and established pulmonologists, advanced practice providers and collaborate with the advanced lung disease specialists, thoracic surgeons, pulmonology transplant medical/care team to help continue to grow and establish a high quality and highly sustainable Pulmonology program throughout the AdventHealth System in Central Florida. This position would have dedicated administrative time and clinical involvement within Interventional and General Pulmonology.

The physician will work with our currently experienced and established pulmonologists, advanced lung disease specialists, thoracic surgeons, pulmonology transplant medical/care team to help continue to grow and establish a high quality and highly sustainable Interventional Pulmonology program throughout the AdventHealth System in Central Florida. This is truly an amazing opportunity to continue to build and cultivate this program in one of the busiest systems in the U.S.

Responsibilities would include the following: leading the clinical quality for Interventional Pulmonology including quality metrics and quality assurance teams; active participation in regional, national, and international meetings and conferences, education of staff, community outreach and program development.

AdventHealth in Orlando, Florida is looking for a dynamic and energetic transplant pulmonology medical director (with experience post fellowship) to join our busy thoracic transplant program.  The physician will work with our current group and established cardiology and pulmonology transplant medical and surgical teams to help continue to grow a high quality and highly sustainable lung transplant program.  We have a full comprehensive Transplant Institute that includes both thoracic and abdominal transplant teams.  Our team performs over 60 hearts, 20 lungs, and 30-50 VAD’s per year with multi organ transplant capability.  

The AdventHealth Transplant Institute is located at AdventHealth Orlando, Florida just outside downtown Orlando close to the charming Winter Park community.  AdventHealth Orlando just opened (in September 2020) a state of-the-art 32 bed advanced cardiac critical care unit dedicated to the cardio thoracic transplant service.  AdventHealth has a hospital-based organ procurement organization (our legacy is a top performing OPO in the United States).

Requirements of the position include: 

  • Fellowship training in Pulmonary Transplantation with at least five years’ experience post fellowship. 
  • Board Certification is required in Pulmonology and Critical Care.

The AdventHealth CVI is centered in a tertiary facility known as AdventHealth Orlando with a beautiful Ginsburg Tower. This 15-story sanctuary of healing offers patients a full range of comprehensive heart and vascular care, including 12 hybrid operating rooms housing electrophysiology, vascular and invasive cardiology.

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Pulmonology

AdventHealth Orlando’s Advanced Lung Disease Institute is looking for an experienced leader to develop our subspecialty program in Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD). This would be an opportunity to build a program from the ground up.

Clinical responsibilities will include provision of care (inpatient and outpatient) for patients with Advanced Pulmonary Disease, and with specific focus on Interstitial Lung disease. The opportunity for close collaboration with the Lung Transplant, Pulmonary Hypertension and Rheumatology teams is anticipated as is the ability to train students, residents and fellows.

Leadership responsibilities would include building a multidisciplinary team for the inpatient and outpatient care of ILD patients, leading and developing the clinical quality program for ILD care; active participation in regional, national, and international ILD meetings and conferences; education of residents and staff; community outreach; and program development. The physician leader would also be involved with building a core team of employed and independent physicians working to improve the ILD services within our system of fifteen (15) Central Florida hospital locations and eventually within our statewide hospitals. Overall dedicated time to the administrative portion of this role will fall between 20-40%.

Requirements for ILD Medical Director:

  • Fellowship training in Pulmonary Medicine
  • Board certification through ABMS or AOA in Pulmonology
  • Ideal candidate would have at least five years of experience post fellowship and demonstrated experience in a leadership role in an ILD program
  • Experience in Lung Transplant, Pulmonary Hypertension or Critical Care Medicine is welcomed but not required
  • Demonstrated excellence in clinical research

AdventHealth Palm Coast and AdventHealth Medical Group (formerly Florida Hospital) are seeking a BC/BE Pulmonologist to start a new pulmonology practice based at the AdventHealth Palm Coast campus. This position will be in Palm Coast near the Atlantic coastal line of Florida. This practice will be a combination of inpatient and outpatient care with access to a sleep lab. Procedures can be done in outpatient and inpatient settings.

AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is looking for a dynamic and energetic Radiation Oncologist to join the team. Our group of over 20 radiation oncologists provides services among many of the AdventHealth sites throughout the Central Florida area including the east coast of Florida. This position is for full-time coverage at an AdventHealth facility and would encompass a broad spectrum of oncology cases and patients. 

Our group is focused on providing superior clinical quality and high patient satisfaction.  The physicians utilize technology and innovation to further clinical research and work collaboratively with the medical staff and radiation staff.  There is also additional support from our AdventHealth Cancer Institute and our physician leadership for clinical sub-specialization by tumor site and participation in a multi-disciplinary care model.

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Radiation Oncology

AdventHealth Cancer Institute (AHCI) based in Orlando, Florida, is looking for a dynamic leader to serve as Medical Director of our statewide Radiation Oncology program.   This experienced, innovative and energetic leader will manage radiation oncology services and lead our statewide group ~ 20 radiation oncologists across 13 locations. The group provides services among many of the AdventHealth sites throughout the Central Florida area including the east coast of Florida. The Medical Director will lead the vision, strategic direction and clinical product for radiation at AdventHealth.  The Director will focus on clinical quality, education, and clinical research activities that advance the reputation and market position of the radiation therapy program.  The Director will also support clinical sub-specialization by tumor site and participation in a multi-disciplinary care model. 

Specific duties include responsibilities in the following areas:  clinical research, clinical services, marketing and community relations, education, administrative, accreditation, and philanthropy.  The Medical Director will also have a portion of clinical time.  The AHCI is open to areas of subspecialty interest/background. 

Ideal Medical Director Skills and Expertise include:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading a hospital-based radiation oncology program (or other cancer based program) preferably within a multi-site system
  • Minimum of eight years of experience post training
  • Board Certified in Radiation Oncology
  • A “thought leader” in the area of radiation oncology
  • Published in peer-reviewed journals
  • Experience in providing clinical education/training in area of specialty
  • Experience and dedication to cancer clinical trials
