Location: Celebration, FL - Specialty: Pediatric, Neonatology

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for a dynamic, innovative and energetic neonatologist to cover in our Level 2 NICU at AdventHealth Celebration located in Celebration, Florida.  Our program at AdventHealth for Children has also been recognized as having the Best Newborn Care by US News and World Report.  The flexible schedule includes both restricted (in house) and unrestricted call (at home) consisting of approximately 15 shifts a month.  The Neonatologist will cover the 10 bed Level 2 NICU at AdventHealth Celebration. There will also be plans to hire in a team of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to cover the NICU at night.  There will also be a Pediatric Hospitalist on site managing the newborn service.  The Neonatologist will need to be available, on call, for high risk deliveries.  AdventHealth Celebration is averaging more than 3,000 deliveries a year. This program is built for two full time neonatologists and will also include a rotation at our 102 bed Level 3 NICU at AdventHealth for Women in Orlando, Florida.

The physicians will be part of a larger group of neonatologists that are part of AdventHealth for Children Orlando, formerly Florida Hospital for Children. Our regional network includes a delivery volume of approximately 15,000 births per year. We have a dedicated Neonatal transport team and are supported by experienced Pediatric Subspecialists.

Requirements of the position:

This position would also have the support of our Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children in Orlando is a full service, tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, including a 22 bed PICU, 10 bed Cardiac ICU, a 102 bed NICU, 17 bed pediatric emergency department and statewide pediatric network and transport system.  We started our comprehensive pediatric open-heart program in 2012 and have a strong track record of positive outcomes.  We also have several key destination programs including our level IV Epilepsy program, and we increased Orlando area NICU beds to 150 total in 2017.  Our unparalleled network consists of 30 hospitals across the state with one children’s hospital at the center and several extremely successful pediatric subspecialty programs including outreach clinics.  Our newest program has brought pediatric liver transplant services to Central Florida.  In 2019, 2020, and 2021 AdventHealth for Children is recognized by US News and World Report as the best Children’s Hospital for newborn care in Florida.  We are also recognized by The Leapfrog Group as a top Children’s Hospital for quality and safety, and we are a magnet designated hospital for nursing care.

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for a dynamic and energetic Neonatologist to join our team at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel to manage the newborn nursery with plans to expand our services to a Level 2 NICU in the near future.  A few of the recognitions and accomplishments that AdventHealth Wesley Chapel has been recognized for are the Women’s Choice Award for Obstetrics for 2021, IBM Watson Health 100 Top Hospitals for the 4th consecutive year, Baby Friendly Designation in 2021, 95th percentile for Patient Satisfaction, The hospital has been awarded its 12th consecutive “A” grade from the prestigious Leapfrog group along with a CMS 5-Star Rating

Responsibilities of the new physician will include:  Daily rounding on babies in the newborn nursery and will be on call from home for emergencies after daily rounds.  Higher acuity infants are stabilized and transferred to AdventHealth for Tampa Level 3 NICU or AdventHealth Orlando Level 3 NICU.   AdventHealth Wesley Chapel averages approximately 600-700 births per year with an average daily census of 6-7 patients.  Physicians will also have privileges at AdventHealth Zephyrhills although primary coverage in house will be at Wesley Chapel with remote supervision of NNPs at AdventHealth Zephyrhills which averages approximately 500 deliveries a year.

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Physical Medicine and Rehab

AdventHealth is searching for a dynamic, hard-working, board certified (or board eligible) physiatrist interested mainly in inpatient consultations along with a small portion of outpatient practice. This physician would help provide consults at our large tertiary hospital,  AdventHealth Orlando, along with some weekend coverage at Winter Park, which houses our new beautiful inpatient rehab unit.  Outpatient follow up clinic is estimated at a half day per week for the first year. 

Work with our existing, highly experienced physiatrists and a terrific support team of neuropsychologists, therapists, skilled nurses, and dietitians. A full range of medical and surgical specialists also provide care for our patients on this unit.

In late 2019, we moved to a brand new, dedicated unit at Winter Park Memorial Hospital with capacity of 60 beds.  Our units currently hold specialty certifications in Stroke and Brain Injury. The new physician would work alongside three other physicians as we expand our team even further in the upcoming years.  Patient mix includes majority of cases in stroke and brain injury as well as some ortho and spinal cord injuries.

AdventHealth Family Medicine Residency in Orlando, Florida is hiring a PhD level behaviorist to join our faculty to educate and empower the next generation of family physicians. The behavioral medicine faculty is an essential member of our team and a faculty colleague. The position itself will be 60-70% clinical and 30-40% administrative. The clinical time will be a mix of precepting residents and individually rendered patient clinical care. The ideal candidate would have some level of both clinical experience as well as educational experience working with residents. We welcome interests in lifestyle medicine, addiction medicine and diversity training. Opportunities for faculty development abound with the support of a seasoned Program Director.

AdventHealth Winter Park Family Medicine Residency Program is an established, premier training site for family medicine residents with almost five decades of experience. Our board certification rate for the past five years is 100%. Residents graduate and are hired both locally and regionally as outpatient physicians, hospitalists, and as fellows in multiple types of fellowships. Our faculty speak at regional, national, and international academic venues. Our Centre for Family Medicine is a delightful clinic/academic office space just across the street from the hospital. The Center for Health and Wellbeing, our gym, is also just across the street and serves as our weekly meeting site for Walk with a Doc.

The gorgeous Winter Park location is located 15 minutes from downtown Orlando, 30 minutes from Disney, Universal, and Sea World. AdventHealth Orlando and AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) are looking for a dynamic and innovative Pulmonologist to join an established practice of over 30 years in the beautiful Winter Park, Florida. This position would have dedicated inpatient and outpatient time focused on General Pulmonology.

The physician will work with our currently experienced and established pulmonologists, advanced practice providers and collaborate with the advanced lung disease specialists, thoracic surgeons, pulmonology transplant medical/care team to help continue to grow and establish a high quality and highly sustainable Pulmonology program throughout the AdventHealth System in Central Florida. This is truly an amazing opportunity to continue to build and cultivate this program. AdventHealth in Orlando, Florida is looking for a dynamic and energetic transplant pulmonology medical director (with experience post fellowship) to join our busy thoracic transplant program.  The physician will work with our current group and established cardiology and pulmonology transplant medical and surgical teams to help continue to grow a high quality and highly sustainable lung transplant program.  We have a full comprehensive Transplant Institute that includes both thoracic and abdominal transplant teams.  Our team performs over 60 hearts, 20 lungs, and 30-50 VAD’s per year with multi organ transplant capability.  

The AdventHealth Transplant Institute is located at AdventHealth Orlando, Florida just outside downtown Orlando close to the charming Winter Park community.  AdventHealth Orlando just opened (in September 2020) a state of-the-art 32 bed advanced cardiac critical care unit dedicated to the cardio thoracic transplant service.  AdventHealth has a hospital-based organ procurement organization (our legacy is a top performing OPO in the United States).

Requirements of the position include: 

  • Fellowship training in Pulmonary Transplantation with at least five years’ experience post fellowship.

Our group of over 20 radiation oncologists provides services among many of the AdventHealth sites throughout the Central Florida area including the east coast of Florida. This position is for full-time coverage at an AdventHealth facility and would encompass a broad spectrum of oncology cases and patients. 

Our group is focused on providing superior clinical quality and high patient satisfaction.  The physicians utilize technology and innovation to further clinical research and work collaboratively with the medical staff and radiation staff.  There is also additional support from our AdventHealth Cancer Institute and our physician leadership for clinical sub-specialization by tumor site and participation in a multi-disciplinary care model.

AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is looking for a dynamic and energetic Radiation Oncologist to join the team and practice at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach, one of the state’s most beautiful beaches, located approximately 35 miles northeast of Metro Orlando area and 15 miles south of Daytona Beach. Our group of over 20 radiation oncologists provides care to patients at AdventHealth sites throughout the Central Florida area including the east coast of Florida. This position is for full-time coverage at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach and would encompass a broad spectrum of oncology cases and patients.

Our group is focused on providing superior clinical quality and high patient satisfaction. Our physicians have access to innovative technology and work collaboratively with a fully staffed cancer center to deliver high quality care. There is also additional support from our AdventHealth Cancer Institute and physician leadership for clinical research, clinical sub-specialization by tumor site, and participation in a multi-disciplinary care model. AHMG also employs Medical Oncology and Surgical Oncology specialists at most AdventHealth locations, including AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach.

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Radiation Oncology

AdventHealth Cancer Institute (AHCI) based in Orlando, Florida, is looking for a dynamic leader to serve as Medical Director of our statewide Radiation Oncology program.   This experienced, innovative and energetic leader will manage radiation oncology services and lead our statewide group ~ 20 radiation oncologists across 13 locations. The group provides services among many of the AdventHealth sites throughout the Central Florida area including the east coast of Florida. The Medical Director will lead the vision, strategic direction and clinical product for radiation at AdventHealth.  The Director will focus on clinical quality, education, and clinical research activities that advance the reputation and market position of the radiation therapy program.  The Director will also support clinical sub-specialization by tumor site and participation in a multi-disciplinary care model. 

Specific duties include responsibilities in the following areas:  clinical research, clinical services, marketing and community relations, education, administrative, accreditation, and philanthropy.  The Medical Director will also have a portion of clinical time.  The AHCI is open to areas of subspecialty interest/background. 

Ideal Medical Director Skills and Expertise include:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading a hospital-based radiation oncology program (or other cancer based program) preferably within a multi-site system
  • Minimum of eight years of experience post training
  • Board Certified in Radiation Oncology
  • A “thought leader” in the area of radiation oncology
  • Published in peer-reviewed journals
  • Experience in providing clinical education/training in area of specialty
  • Experience and dedication to cancer clinical trials
  • Ability to encourage physician collaboration between employed and private practice physicians
  • Dynamic personality with strong public speaking and interpersonal skills

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Radiology, Cardiothoracic Imaging

AdventHealth Medical Group Radiology - Central Florida is seeking a full-time ABR fellowship trained Cardiothoracic Imager to join its expanding practice of 150 radiologists. Our facilities provide approximately 2 million exams via a large referral base of more than 3000 medical staff.

Candidate should expect:

  • No Overnight call
  • 24 hr. 3D post processing lab
  • Practice model is sub-specialty based interpretations
  • 1 PACS system (AGFA PACS and PowerScribe systems)
  • Opportunity to participate in clinical research and resident education

Besides the described cardiothoracic studies, the candidates will also have the opportunity to read as much abdominal imaging as they wish. Performing thoracic procedures, mammography, and general radiology is NOT required for this position. 

Board Eligible or Certified with the American Board of Radiology (ABR) is required.
