AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic otolaryngologist to lead our team at AdventHealth Orlando. The position will involve 80% clinical work and 20% administrative time.

The Medical Director is responsible for providing direction for the development and clinical performance of the General Otolaryngology program with areas of focus in: Program Building; Clinical Quality and Performance Improvement; and Innovation, Teaching and Research.

This employment opportunity is for a board-certified Otolaryngologist with an interest in being part of a newer program and helping to build and grow a practice. The new physician would provide continuity of care in a brand-new outpatient clinic along with inpatient coverage with APP support. AdventHealth Orlando and AdventHealth Transplant Institute (AHTI) are seeking a dynamic physician leader to serve as the Executive Medical Director for the AHTI.  This role will ensure the aims of exceptional patient care delivery, a culture of collaboration and collegiality, and growth through various organs serviced through the AHTI.  This role would also provide support and leadership for both physician and administrative leaders within the program and serve as the physician lead and representative for the Institute and in partnership with a dedicated administrative Vice President. 

The primary functions of the Executive Medical Director include the following services:

  • Conduct and carry out administrative and professional services – jointly in a dyadic partnership with the VP, AHTI and advise hospital on all clinical, operational, and professional matters relating to the role and function of this position.
  • This position is accountable for the development and performance of both the abdominal and thoracic clinical programs for the program. This may include but is not limited to clinical care, operational clinic workflow, budgetary, profitability of services, satellite development, training, collaboration with other physician leaders in the Program, and patient/customer experience.
  • This position, along with other clinical and strategic stakeholders, is responsible for the vision and strategic development for AHTI across the local, state, and regional enterprise.

The Executive Medical Director will have detailed expectations and responsibilities in the following areas:

Founded in 1973, the AdventHealth Transplant Institute has performed more than 4,000 transplants, making us one of the busiest transplant centers in the nation. Our survival rates are among the highest in the country, making us one of the most highly sought, multi-organ transplant programs in the United States. AdventHealth Winter Park Family Medicine Residency program is looking for a dynamic, hardworking, and broadly skilled Family Medicine physician to serve as a faculty member with the ACGME Family Medicine Residency Program. Established in 1975, the program is based at AdventHealth Winter Park Hospital, a 340-bed acute care facility. We are a 12-12-12 residency and have geriatrics, sports medicine and women’s health fellowships. The ten-year ABFM pass rate is 100%. Faculty and residents present at regional and national meetings.

Ideal candidate should expect:

  • Outpatient responsibilities, with limited inpatient responsibilities
  • OB optional
  • Call shared with 9 faculty members
  • Opportunity to develop private patient base

Duties will include clinical teaching in an outpatient setting for family medicine, as well as continuity clinic.

AdventHealth Graduate Medical Education in Orlando, Florida is looking for a dynamic, hardworking, and broadly skilled Family Medicine physician with a passion for teaching. This doctor would serve as one of the key faculty members in an academic role within the Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Program. He or she would focus on outpatient medicine while teaching our residents and medical students. The physician's duties will include his or her own personal family medicine clinic, precepting residents and medical students, giving didactic lectures, constructing curriculum and evaluating residents and medical students. There is an opportunity to incorporate OMM into both clinical care and teaching.

The ideal candidate would have experience in academic medicine, demonstrate leadership capabilities, strong communication skills, and fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth, formerly Florida Hospital. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not necessary.

This well-established ACGME Accredited Family Medicine Residency with Osteopathic Recognition is based at AdventHealth East Orlando, a 293 bed facility that is part of one of the largest healthcare systems in the country. The Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency at AdventHealth East Orlando, which has been training residents for over 30 years, is among the most progressive training programs in the osteopathic profession. The foundation for our family medicine residency is derived from the dedication of our faculty, continuity family medicine and pediatric clinics, didactic programs and innovative technology. We teach twenty four residents each academic year, ONMM3 residents, and osteopathic medical students. We are a core site for third year students from the Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University.

Board Certification in Family Medicine (AOA or ABMS) is required.

AOA certification or ABMS certification with OMM skills is preferred.

AdventHealth Graduate Medical Education in Orlando, Florida is seeking a dynamic, hardworking, and broadly skilled Osteopathic Family Medicine physician to serve as Program Director for the Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Program. Ranked by US News and World Report, AdventHealth Orlando has consecutively been awarded “Best Hospital” for the past fourteen years in Central Florida.

This well-established residency program is based at AdventHealth East Orlando, a 295-bed facility that is part of one of the largest healthcare systems in the country.  The Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency at East Orlando is among the most progressive training programs in the osteopathic profession.  The foundation for our family medicine residency is derived from the dedication of our faculty, continuity family medicine and pediatric clinics, didactic programs and innovative technology.  We teach eight new residents each academic year, along with two new residents each year in the ONMM3 residency. Our main medical school affiliations is with Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

The physician's duties will include clinical teaching in an outpatient setting.  An opportunity to teach on the inpatient OMM consult service is available for qualified candidates. Candidate would also have the opportunity to develop a private patient base seeing his/her own patients in dedicated time each week.  A strong emphasis will be placed on clinical teaching skills focused on preventative and evidence-based medicine.  A minimum of three years’ experience in Osteopathic Family Medicine is preferred.

The ideal candidate would have experience in leading an osteopathic program and should bring a vision to increase academic activity including research, posters, and presentations. Dynamic communication skills and the ability to fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth are required. Other AdventHealth residency programs include Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Radiology and Pediatrics. AdventHealth fellowship programs include Colorectal Surgery, Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery and Gynecology, Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery, Geriatrics, Women’s Health, and Gynecologic/Oncology. 

Requirements: Minimum of three years’ faculty and /or administrative experience. Physician must be board certified in Family Medicine.
