Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Hematology/Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant

AdventHealth is looking for a dynamic, energetic, and clinically focused Blood and Marrow Transplant physician to join our program based in Orlando, Florida. This physician would have the opportunity to continue to help build a nationally leading program along with our three physicians, focused in the expansion of our growing BMT/Acute Leukemia/Cell Therapy program.

Our FACT-accredited, active BMT program continues to grow. In 2019 we performed approximately 150 transplants, including haplo.  Our outcomes have met or exceeded the national average over the last 10 years.  We have 32 dedicated beds on a new, state-of-the art inpatient unit, and we perform all donor source transplants including, autologous, allogeneic, cord blood, and Haplo-transplants.  We participate in transplant related NCI sponsored trials, CALGB and BMT Clinical Trial Network studies. We have a clinical trials office, dedicated research nurse, data manager, and data coordinators with opportunities and resources for investigator-initiated trials.

The Blood and Marrow Transplant Center at the AdventHealth Cancer Institute has performed more than 1500 blood and marrow transplants, providing successful therapy and treatment for a variety of conditions including aplastic anemia, leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and bone marrow failure syndromes.

The BMTC practice is nationally recognized for our pioneering work and we are Central Florida’s first and only comprehensive blood and marrow transplant program for both adult and pediatric patients. 

We are the only CART program in Central Florida with a focus on continued expansion of cellular therapy options for patients with hematologic and solid malignancies. 

A recent joint collaborative partnership with Moffitt Cancer Center will focus on achieving NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center status and the expansion of clinical and translational research opportunities for transplant physicians. 

Requirements for the position include: 

  • Board certification in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology
  • Physician applicant must have experience in both allogeneic and autologous transplants or have completed a BMT fellowship.

Location: Orlando Area, FL - Specialty: Hospice and Palliative Medicine

AdventHealth Hospice Care is seeking Hospice Team Physicians to oversee the medical components of the Hospice plan of care for each patient admitted to their team.  This physician and other members of the interdisciplinary team will focus on collaboration and delivering the highest level of patient care.  Our interdisciplinary teams consist of:  RN Case Manager, CNA, Social Worker, Patient Care Manager and Chaplain.

We are looking for two Team Physicians.  One physician will manage and have oversight of patients specifically within Long Term Care facilities and the other will manage and oversee patients throughout the noted service area of Orange, Seminole and Osceola Counties. 

AdventHealth Hospice Care is the only non-profit, local experts in compassionate, end-of-life care, serving Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties since 1990.  Our team provides individualized care and support to patients and families 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Because we are owned by AdventHealth, you have the full backing of our world-renowned hospital system.

Requirements for this position:

  • MD or DO
  • Ability to receive an unrestricted Florida Medical License
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, or ABMS specialty certification
  • Preferred but not required: Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Care 
  • Eligible to participate as a provider in the Medicare and Medicaid programs (including any successor program to either)

Summary of responsibilities (not limited to the following):

  • Team physicians are responsible for the management of patients on 2 teams, including managing medication needs/cost per patient. Each team consists of 70-90 patients
  • Monday – Friday 8am-5pm schedule:  will rotate nightly call coverage
  • Responsible for medication management including e-prescribing of medications daily.
  • Attends weekly team meetings as the medical director of the team, reviewing all patient management needs
  • Completing all certificates of terminal illness narratives for the team for each new admission.
  • Completing death certificates for patients assigned to team
  • Receives calls from admission nurses and patient care managers regarding eligibility, orders, and plan of care
  • Manages family matters including family conferences relating to current patients.
  • Communicates with team members and community physicians in regard to current and future patients
  • Conducting visits to patients in their home setting on an as needed basis
  • Educates team members on medical topics and inquiries

AdventHealth Orlando is our 1,364 bed tertiary facility with close to 160 ICU beds. It is at the center of eight other hospitals around the greater Orlando area, which total approximately 3,000 beds. Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Internal Medicine, Academic

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a dynamic and hardworking physician to serve as a core faculty member for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. Based at the tertiary hospital just north of downtown Orlando, this Internal Medicine Residency Program accepts 12 new residents each academic year. Internal medicine subspecialties (Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, Rheumatology) are needed in our system and would be considered along with general internists/hospitalists for the core faculty position. The physician's duties will include clinical teaching in an outpatient and inpatient setting as well as seeing private patients and developing research projects in conjunction with residents and other faculty. Physician candidate would be considered core faculty and would need to be broadly skilled in Internal Medicine. Mix of general medicine and subspecialty practice will be individualized based on candidate’s experience. A strong emphasis will be placed on clinical teaching skills. The residency program has medical school associations with Loma Linda, and Florida State University. We would invite those sub specialists who might have an interest in medicine teaching to submit their application.

We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic medical geneticist to join our team at AdventHealth Medical Genetics & Genomics clinic-Orlando. Successful candidate would join our two other physicians and genetic counselors and continue to grow our program working within our multidisciplinary teams of experienced clinicians in (pediatric and adult) cardiology, gastroenterology, general pediatrics, hematology/oncology, MFM, neurology and transplantation surgery. We aspire to provide comprehensive state of the art genetic and genomic services to all patients within the AdventHealth system (locally, regionally and nationally).

The new physician would have the ability to work in both an outpatient and inpatient setting along with fulfilling personal research and teaching interests. Requirements include board eligibility or board certification in Clinical Genetics through the American Board of Medical Genetics & Genomics. 

Our physicians are working directly with our state-of-the-art neonatology and pediatric liver transplant programs to develop a metabolic disorders program at AdventHealth for Children that will provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for infants, children, and adolescents with various metabolic diseases.

AdventHealth Neuroscience Institute, and AdventHealth Medical Group (formerly Florida Hospital) are seeking  General Neurologists for our expanding program in Central Florida.  New physician would join with our existing team of neurologists to provide General Neurology care with our current openings at our Winter Park and Apopka outpatient clinics. Cerebral vascular disease background and follow up clinic interest is preferred but not required. 

We are growing into one comprehensive team that will help to grow outpatient practices as well as provide limited inpatient coverage among our nine-hospital system in Orlando.  This general neurology role would join our subspecialty leaders in movement disorders, neuromuscular medicine, neuroimmunology, behavioral and memory disorders, and headache medicine in a growing destination neurology program that treats patients and contributes to the body of knowledge through research.

AdventHealth Orlando is continuing to grow its Neuroscience Institute with a new Brain Health flagship building opening in 2022.  Our Neuro Critical Care Fellowship was accredited by the UCNS in early 2019.  Our Neuroscience Institute at AdventHealth Orlando consists of 120 dedicated neurology beds which includes 40 neuro-intensive care units, 8 dedicated neurosurgical OR suites with an intraoperative 3T MRI and 64 slice CT, FDG-PET, SPECT, and MEG lab.  AdventHealth Orlando has been awarded the highest designation, a Level 4 Epilepsy Center, by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC). AdventHealth Neurology and Neurosurgery is a top 15 program in US News & World Report year after year.

AdventHealth also has an advanced comprehensive stroke center providing endovascular procedures 24/7. Our neurosurgery program performed more craniotomy and spine surgery than any other hospitals in Florida. Our minimally invasive brain surgery program is one of the best in the state and draws patients nationally and internationally.  We also have a fully developed DBS program.

AdventHealth is looking for a dynamic and energetic Movement Disorders Medical Director to help continue to grow our expanding program in Central Florida.  We are growing into one comprehensive team that will focus this outpatient program around our eighteen hospitals system in our Central Florida Division totaling over 4000 beds.  The new medical director would provide subspecialty care and work with our multidisciplinary team including functional neurosurgery, neuro radiology, neuro pathology and neuropsychology.   Position will be structured with majority of clinical time with some portion of administrative time as well.   The new physician would join with our existing team of neurology subspecialty leaders in Neuromuscular, Headache, Neuroimmunology, and Behavioral Neurology.

AdventHealth is looking for a dynamic and experienced physician leader for the role of Executive Medical Director at AdventHealth for Women.  The Executive Medical Director will provide strong leadership to a developing, comprehensive list of women’s service lines and a robust physician panel.  This role also grows and leads a rising Women’s Continuum of Care network on behalf of AdventHealth. This physician leader excels at collaborating with physicians, hospital clinicians, and administration.  The majority of time in this opportunity is administrative, but there is a clinical component as well for physician to maintain their skills and participate in patient care (20%). 

The Executive Medical Director is accountable for clinical oversight, development, and performance of AdventHealth for Women’s programs across the system.  This role would have oversight over our Central Florida Division which comprises 18 hospitals across seven counties. The Executive Medical Director will also be responsible for supervising the Women’s programs at partner hospitals, outside the Central Florida Division. Our nonprofit organization has been in Orlando since 1908 as a faith-based institution with a Christian mission: “To extend the healing ministry of Christ”.   Our statewide network comprises 30 total hospitals across Florida, and we have 50 hospitals across nine states under our parent company. 

In collaboration with the medical staff at AdventHealth, senior leadership, and the AdventHealth for Women’s Steering Committee, the Executive Medical Director focuses on clinical excellence, program coordination, quality and safety, introduction of new relevant services, education, and research activities that advance the reputation and market of AdventHealth for Women. 

This new leader plays an integral role in representing AdventHealth for Women to the external market and is ultimately responsible for developing and managing initiatives to support the growth of women’s services across Central Florida and beyond.  The new physician will also cultivate and manage strategic relationships with existing physicians, partners, sister hospitals, and other entities in order to identify new development opportunities. This position serves as an active influential leader, facilitator, executor, and presenter in the AdventHealth for Women development planning and execution process.

AdventHealth is seeking experienced part-time or per diem Obstetrician/Gynecologists to support our Ob Hospitalist programs in Orlando, Winter Park, Celebration, Altamonte Springs, and Melbourne.  Candidates will join our team of 26 physicians and midwives supporting four campuses in central Florida.  Responsibilities of the Ob Hospitalist include provision of in-house obstetric coverage for unassigned and emergent obstetric patients; act as surgical assist to staff Ob/Gyn physicians upon request; manage and cover the Ob Triage unit; accept and manage maternal transfers; and provide appropriate oversight and clinical teaching of medical students, family medicine residents and other learners.  A motivation to increase patient safety and elevate patient satisfaction, along with dynamic communication skills and the ability to fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth, are required.

AdventHealth, formerly Florida Hospital, is seeking a dynamic Palliative Medicine physician to join our team within our system. Our leadership has committed to redefine and expand the program with a new initiative to target the entire hospital division. Palliative care is represented at five of these institutions with a plan to increase care and expand to all campuses. The current opportunity is at the Orlando campus, AdventHealth Orlando which has a need to assist oncology and cardiology (ECMO, LVAD) in best treatment of their patients. The position will help guide inpatient consultation services of the interdisciplinary team of advanced practitioners, chaplain, pharmacist and social workers. The program has a two person AAHPM fellowship so teaching, mentorship and scholarly work is valued. Clinical care expectations include goals of care, family meetings and complex symptom management in the inpatient setting. The program strives to foster a growth mindset and appreciates its wide diversity of providers backgrounds including psychiatry, family medicine, critical care and internal medicine.

Requirements of the position include:
