The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is looking for a Pediatric Endocrinologist to join our outstanding program in Orlando, Florida.

Responsibilities of the new physician will include: high volume outpatient clinics with a wide variety of patients from age 0 – 18, outreach clinics (currently providing care in four locations) and inpatient coverage in equal rotation with other group members. It is also possible to develop a subspecialty niche depending on physician’s interest. The Pediatric Endocrinology program has a dedicated area for hormone testing and we offer the full spectrum of dynamic hormonal testing and infusions. We have a large diabetes program with staffing for five nurse CDEs and a dietitian CDE. We also have two social workers, and a growth hormone coordinator.

General Summary:

The APP, under the supervision of Physicians, is responsible for:

  • Performs physical examinations of patients, assessment and treatment of injuries or illnesses for pediatric patients.
  • Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc.
  • Independent and collaborative medical management of acute and chronic conditions
  • Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed
  • Collaborates with providers and staff, as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff
  • Combination of outpatient in person visits as well as virtual visits

AdventHealth for Children Pediatric ENT seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their new Pediatric ENT program.

General Summary:

  • The NP or PA assists the assigned staff attending in all aspects of patient care. This position involves practice in the clinical setting, including inpatient, ambulatory/outpatient, and pre-operative and post-operative care.
  • The practice will involve care and management of patients requiring or consultation for ENT-related diagnoses.
  • Care will include performing clinic assessments, admission, history and physicals, daily plan of care, and some minor procedures.
  • Practitioner will manage the inpatient course in collaboration with the attending.
  • Practitioner will coordinate referrals and follow up on consults to other providers and clinic staff.
  • Practitioner will provide emergency room and hospital consultations.
  • Practitioners will provide care to ambulatory/ patients when needed in coordination with ambulatory nursing staff.

The new practice will provide needed access to Pediatric Primary Care for families in the fast-growing Lake Nona area. The ideal candidate will be/have:

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic part-time pediatric hospitalists with a focus and interest in newborn care to join our team at the new AdventHealth Lake Nona.

Schedule would consist of both restricted (in hospital) and unrestricted 24-hour call (from home) resulting in approximately 6shifts per month.

Well newborn care admissions, daily rounds, and discharges

High risk delivery attendance and newborn stabilization

Newborn coordination of transfers to higher level of care as indicated

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic Pediatric Hospitalists to join our team at AdventHealth Daytona Beach in association with AdventHealth for Children/Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando.

The pediatric hospitalist would be expected:

  • to perform pediatric admissions to the dedicated Pediatric Floor
  •  ED pediatric consults
  • participate in daily multidisciplinary family centered rounding
  • cover the Level 1 Newborn Nursery and high-risk delivery coverage in collaboration with the Level 2 Neonatology team.

AdventHealth for Children Walt Disney Pavilion
As part of the AdventHealth Daytona Beach collaboration with the Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children, patients have the support of a full service tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 pediatric beds, more than 30 pediatric ICU beds with a dedicated peds CICU, a 102 bed NICU, 17 bed pediatric emergency department and statewide pediatric network and transport system.

We started our pediatric open heart program in 2012 and have a strong track record of positive outcomes. Key destination programs include our level IV Epilepsy program, the region’s only BMT and solid organ transplants including kidney and liver.

Our network consists of 30 hospitals across the state totaling over 23,000 births with several pediatric subspecialty programs including outreach clinics. These hospitals refer patients for tertiary and quaternary services to our main location near downtown Orlando. Pediatric liver transplant services were recently brought to Central Florida.

In 2019, AdventHealth for Children was recognized by US News and World Report as the best Children’s Hospital for newborn care in Florida and by The Leapfrog Group as a top Children’s Hospital for quality and safety. We are also a magnet designated hospital for nursing care.
