AdventHealth Medical Group Neuropsychology at Orlando is seeking to hire a clinical neuropsychologist to provide comprehensive neuropsychological services to our diverse patient population of pediatrics and the life span.

General Summary:

  • Typical referrals include Medical and neurological conditions such as TBI, concussion, brain tumor, seizure disorder, autoimmune disorders, hematology/oncology, transplant, memory disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions.
  • The provider will see: Pediatric patients with neurological and medical conditions that impact cognitive function.
  • This position is primarily clinical and heavily assessment focused; however, delivery of psychotherapy and treatment is also expected primarily in following patients initially seen for neuropsychological evaluation.
  • There are ample opportunities for supervision of graduate students and post-doctoral fellows, and participation in didactic seminars as presenter and attendee (e.g., tumor boards, grand rounds).
  • The possibility of conducting research is also available.
  • Provide comprehensive services including assessment, parent and family consultation and education, and interventions for patients.

Schedule Details:

  • Combination of outpatient and possible inpatient responsibility.
  • Schedule is Monday – Friday from 8 AM – 5 PM with flexibility and potential of extended hours

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Doctorate in Clinical Neuropsychology or Clinical Psychology with a neuropsychology track from an accredited (APA or CPA) university and be licensed or license-eligible in Florida.
  • Completed a 2-year post-doctoral residency in Neuropsychology and be eligible for board certification in neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). If 2 years or after post-doctoral residency, must be board certified.

General Summary:

Utilizes expertise in patient/family assessment incorporating physical, psycho-social, environmental, spiritual, and financial factors to assess patients for barriers that interfere with the attainment of healthcare goals.

  • Responsible for assessment and treatment of individuals with developmental disorders, mental, emotional, social or substance abuse problems, including abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and/or other related drugs.
  • Educates the health care team and physicians about psycho-social issues and identified patient/family problems as well as recommends strategies to address these issues.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the primary care providers, and inpatient providers to improve health outcomes.
  • Facilitate referrals to other services (e.g. substance abuse treatment, specialty care and community resources as needed).
  • Collaboration with local community agencies and school systems to support mental health services.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of activities and services provided to each client.
  • Provides ongoing patient/family and staff education in the hospital setting.

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care

AdventHealth Orlando and AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) are looking for dynamic and innovative Pulmonary Critical Care physicians to join an established practice in the beautiful Orlando, Florida. This position would have dedicated inpatient and outpatient pulmonary time with a rotating ICU block of approximately 1:8.

The physician will work with our experienced and established pulmonologists, advanced practice providers and collaborate with the advanced lung disease specialists, interventional pulmonology, thoracic surgeons, pulmonology transplant medical/care team to grow and establish a high quality and highly sustainable Pulmonary Critical Care program throughout the AdventHealth System in Central Florida. This is truly an amazing opportunity to build and cultivate this program. This employment opportunity is for a physician who has a passion for clinical excellence and be willing to build a patient base within the local community. Strong referral base and access to supporting specialists would allow a physician to build a robust patient base quickly.

These positions are a result of programmatic and companywide growth throughout AdventHealth as we continue to support and establish high quality Pulmonary & Critical Care services to our Central Florida Region.  The ideal candidate would have experience or be comfortable working in Medical and Surgical ICU settings while also covering inpatient pulmonary consults.  The practice would be affiliated to AHMG Critical Care Specialists of Central Florida, a 100 plus employed provider intensive care team, which reaches over 14 other AdventHealth campuses throughout Central and North Florida, caring for over 18000 critically patients a year.

Pulmonary Disease, Interventional
Celebration, FL

Location: Celebration, FL - Specialty: Pulmonary Disease, Interventional

AdventHealth Celebration and AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) are looking for a dynamic and innovative Interventional Pulmonologist to join an established group while also helping expand and build an IP program within the Celebration Campus.

The physician will work and collaborate with our experienced and established general pulmonologists, advanced lung disease specialists, and thoracic surgeons to help continue to grow and expand a high quality and large scale Interventional Pulmonology program throughout the AdventHealth System in Central Florida. This is truly an amazing opportunity and time to continue to build and cultivate this program in one of the busiest health systems in the U.S.

Additional responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Performing full scope of diagnostic procedures including but not limited to
    • Robotic navigational bronchoscopy with access to Monarch Navigation systems and a mobile C-arm
    • EBUS-TBNA
    • Transbronchial biopsies
  • Performing therapeutic bronchoscopies with access to rigid bronchoscope sets, ERBECRYO 2 for both argon plasma coagulation and cryotherapy, Lumenis Pulse Laser System, and Monsoon jet ventilation system along with the support from an experienced OR and anesthesia team
  • Performing endobronchial valve placement and expanding the program
  • Building the pleural disease program with access to medical thoracoscopy set

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Pulmonary Disease, Transplant

AdventHealth in Orlando, Florida is looking for a dynamic and energetic transplant pulmonologist to join our busy thoracic transplant program.  The physician will work with our current group and established cardiology and pulmonology transplant medical and surgical teams to help continue to grow a high quality and highly sustainable lung transplant program.  We have a full comprehensive Transplant Institute that includes both thoracic and abdominal transplant teams.  Our team performs over 60 hearts, 20 lungs, and 30-50 VAD’s per year with multi organ transplant capability. 

The AdventHealth Transplant Institute is located at AdventHealth Orlando, Florida just outside downtown Orlando close to the charming Winter Park community.  AdventHealth Orlando just opened (in September 2020) a state of-the-art 32 bed advanced cardiac critical care unit dedicated to the cardio thoracic transplant service.  AdventHealth has a hospital-based organ procurement organization (our legacy is a top performing OPO in the United States).    

Requirements of the position include:

  • Board Certification is required in Pulmonology and Critical Care.
  • Lung Transplant fellowship required.
  • UNOS eligibility or certification.

Location: Palm Coast, FL - Specialty: Radiation Oncology

AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is looking for a dynamic and energetic Radiation Oncologist to join the team and practice at AdventHealth Palm Coast, located approximately 75 miles north of Orlando and a short drive to some of the state’s most beautiful beaches.  Our group of over 20 radiation oncologists provides services among many of the AdventHealth sites throughout the Central Florida area including the east coast of Florida. This position is for full-time coverage at AdventHealth Palm Coast and would encompass a broad spectrum of oncology cases and patients.  Our hospital extended its dedication to oncology care with the construction of the Freytag Cancer Center, opening January 2025.  This free standing-facility will be on campus and features a TrueBeam and new Halcyon treatment machines.

Our group is focused on providing superior clinical quality and high patient satisfaction.  The physicians utilize technology and innovation to further clinical research and work collaboratively with the medical staff and radiation staff.  There is also additional support from our AdventHealth Cancer Institute and our physician leadership for clinical sub-specialization by tumor site and participation in a multi-disciplinary care model.

AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is looking for a dynamic and energetic Radiation Oncologist to join the team and practice at AdventHealth Sebring, located approximately 90 minutes south of Orlando and a short drive to some of the state’s most beautiful beaches.  Our group of over 20 radiation oncologists provides services among many of the AdventHealth sites throughout the Central Florida area.. This position is for full-time coverage at AdventHealth Sebring and would encompass a broad spectrum of oncology cases and patients.  Our hospital recently proved its dedication to oncology care by adding a TrueBeam radiotherapy system to one of its two vaults in 2022.

Our group is focused on providing superior clinical quality and high patient satisfaction.  The physicians utilize technology and innovation to further clinical research and work collaboratively with the medical staff and radiation staff. There is also additional support from our AdventHealth Cancer Institute and our physician leadership for clinical sub-specialization by tumor site and participation in a multi-disciplinary care model.

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and energetic Radiation Oncologist to focus on gastrointestinal tumor sites for our group in the Orlando area.  Our group totals over 20 radiation oncologists and provides services among many of the AdventHealth campuses throughout the Central Florida area including the east coast of Florida. This position would be based at AdventHealth Orlando with some potential secondary time at one of our locations within the Orlando area.

Our group is focused on providing superior clinical quality and patient satisfaction.  The physicians utilize technology and innovation to further clinical research and work collaboratively with the medical staff and radiation staff.  This position is supported through our AdventHealth Cancer Institute which sees more newly diagnosed tumors than any other institution in the state.

Requirements:

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible through the American Board of Radiology in Radiation Oncology
  • Demonstrated focus/interest/experience in Gastroenterology radiation oncology
