AdventHealth is looking for a dynamic, energetic, and clinically focused Blood and Marrow Transplant physician to join our program based in Orlando, Florida. This physician would have the opportunity to continue to help build a nationally leading program along with our three physicians, focused in the expansion of our growing BMT/Acute Leukemia/Cell Therapy program.
Our FACT-accredited, active BMT program continues to grow. In 2019 we performed approximately 150 transplants, including haplo. We have 32 dedicated beds on a new, state-of-the art inpatient unit, and we perform all donor source transplants including, autologous, allogeneic, cord blood, and Haplo-transplants. We participate in transplant related NCI sponsored trials, CALGB and BMT Clinical Trial Network studies. We have a clinical trials office, dedicated research nurse, data manager, and data coordinators with opportunities and resources for investigator-initiated trials.
The Blood and Marrow Transplant Center at the AdventHealth Cancer Institute has performed more than 1500 blood and marrow transplants, providing successful therapy and treatment for a variety of conditions including aplastic anemia, leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and bone marrow failure syndromes.
The BMTC practice is nationally recognized for our pioneering work and we are Central Florida’s first and only comprehensive blood and marrow transplant program for both adult and pediatric patients.
We are the only CART program in Central Florida with a focus on continued expansion of cellular therapy options for patients with hematologic and solid malignancies.
A recent joint collaborative partnership with Moffitt Cancer Center will focus on achieving NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center status and the expansion of clinical and translational research opportunities for transplant physicians.
