Cardiovascular Associates of Lake County, a private Cardiology practice with offices in Tavares, FL and Leesburg, FL, is growing and looking for an energetic Interventional Cardiologist to join the team. With over 25 years’ experience in treating the Lake County community, Cardiovascular Associates of Lake County is focused on providing complete cardiac care to nearly 3,000 patients per year.  The new physician will be joining a practice of 7 physicians, 2 advanced practice providers, along with all other clinical and office staff.  At our main office in Tavares there is an outpatient angio suite, PET Scanner, and is fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to provide the quality cardiac care our patients deserve.

Qualified candidates will be/have:

  • Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
  • Board Certification in Echocardiography and Nuclear Medicine is a plus
  • Comfortable overseeing and providing clinical supervision to APRN and/or PA-C
  • Bilingual candidates preferred

In collaboration with AdventHealth Waterman, this opportunity will be supported by a Recruitment Assistance Agreement. AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for two dynamic and energetic invasive, non-interventional cardiologists to join our team.  The positions would have time both at AdventHealth Orlando and Altamonte Springs location.  The practice is formerly known as Florida Heart Group.  Cardiologists must be proficient in all forms of non-invasive cardiology in addition to diagnostic cardiac catheterization.  The practice would be open to non-invasive cardiologists. 

Responsibilities will include both inpatient and outpatient care, in addition to some group call coverage at times.  AHMG Cardiology at Orlando & Altamonte Springs is a growing and established practice consisting of 19 cardiologists – interventional, structural, electrophysiology and general cardiology.

AdventHealth Ob/Gyn is a well-established practice that has been in the Orlando area for almost 30 years and is part of the award-winning AdventHealth system.  Physicians and Certified Nurse Midwives work together to provide the highest-quality care in a friendly, welcoming setting.  We provide safe, efficient, patient-centered care. The Ob/Gyn practice is an ACOG “SCOPE” safety-certified practice. Midwives also see obstetrics and gynecology patients in the office setting. The Certified Nurse Midwife may be additionally involved in resident and student education.

General Summary:

  • Evaluates pregnant and postpartum women including managing all aspects of pre-natal visits
  • Performs the nursing duties related to midwifery including labor and delivery care, care after birth, and newborn care.
  • Educates women about different types of care available and encourages them to enhance their pregnancy by being involved.  
  • Orders, interprets and incorporates diagnostic tests, studies and lab values into the plan of care; evaluates effectiveness.
  • Formulates appropriate diagnosis based on history, physical examination and clinical findings.
  • Plans and provides care within the framework of policies, unit guidelines and privileges.
  • Serves as OB/GYN team member working closely with physicians and other staff to ensure healthy pregnancies and deliveries.
  • Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies according to privileges.
  • Emphasizes patient education, active participation, clear communication between the provider and the women, and an individualized health care experience.
  • Advocates birth education, natural childbirth, and the participation of the entire family.
  • Teaches patients about all aspects of an infant’s reaction to its environment including but not limited to breast feeding and bonding.  
  • Communicates and documents pertinent case information in a timely and thorough manner.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of midwifery principles and techniques.
  • Knowledge of methods ensuring safe working environment for patient, family, and staff including using appropriate personal protection equipment.
  • Knowledge of theories of family dynamics, mother-child attachment, parenting, and adult learning concepts.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Masters Degree in Nursing with Mid-Wife Certification
  • 2-3 years’ experience as midwife in hospital setting

This employment opportunity is for critical care fellowship trained physicians with an interest in a hospital only setting covering Medical ICU and Surgical ICU. Ideal candidates will have at least two years’ experience in Critical Care Medicine.  14 shifts per month will provide full time benefits.
