General Summary:

The PA, under the supervision of the Physician who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for:

• Performs physical examinations of patients, evaluation and treatment of injuries or illnesses related to Neurotology, Head and Neck Surgery in the clinic and hospital setting

• Surgical first assist in OR, Rounding in the hospital, medical management in the clinic

• Performing scope related procedures, incision and drainage, suturing

• Conditions managed and surgically treated include but are not limited to chronic ear disorders, hearing loss amenable to surgical intervention (otosclerosis, profound SNHL for cochlear implant), acoustic/balance nerve tumors, CSF leak and superior semicircular canal dehiscence, ear canal stenosis and atresia, eustachian tube dysfunction, and more surgically focused ear disorders. Will also work closely with head & neck surgeons to manage conditions including but not limited to thyroid / parathyroid / parotid conditions requiring surgery, head, and neck cancer, swallowing and vocal cord disorders, and general ENT hospital consultations excluding facial trauma.

• Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc.

• Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed

• Collaborates with physician, supervisor, and staff as necessary to provide quality care to patients and support to staff

Knowledge and Skills Required:

We are looking for PA’s and APRN’s to serve as members of our expanding critical care team. General Summary: The APP under the supervision and direction of the Physician and within the credentialing standards of the Hospital: (other duties as assigned)

  • Obtain patient health histories and complete physical examinations and documents findings
  • Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests, explaining the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of procedure(s) to patients, patient's family, staff and healthcare learners.

AdventHealth for Children is seeking a dynamic, energetic and experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to lead our team based at the Walt Disney Pavilion (website) in Orlando, Florida.  The new Medical Director would help establish our program in our Central Florida area and develop our team including a nurse practitioner, clinical psychologist, LMHC, RN and a care navigator.   Majority of time will be in a clinical capacity, but physician will have some dedicated time for administrative responsibilities including working with community partners.  New physician will work to develop pathways for our patients to be seen quickly from our inpatient floors and/or the emergency department.  This is an outpatient opportunity with a dedicated space just north of our Children’s Hospital campus near downtown Orlando.  

We have a robust Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics program, neuropsychology, a pediatric residency program, and a full team of over 200 subspecialists at AdventHealth for Children.  We have a network of 30 hospitals in the state with an extensive outreach system as well.  This includes multiple outpatient locations with a multidisciplinary presence.   We deliver approximately 23,000 babies per year throughout our system. 

Requirements of the position

  • Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • At least 5 years’ experience post fellowship
  • Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Pulmonology

AdventHealth Orlando’s Advanced Lung Disease Institute is looking for an experienced leader to develop our subspecialty program in Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD). This would be an opportunity to build a program from the ground up.

Clinical responsibilities will include provision of care (inpatient and outpatient) for patients with Advanced Pulmonary Disease, and with specific focus on Interstitial Lung disease. The opportunity for close collaboration with the Lung Transplant, Pulmonary Hypertension and Rheumatology teams is anticipated as is the ability to train students, residents and fellows.

Leadership responsibilities would include building a multidisciplinary team for the inpatient and outpatient care of ILD patients, leading and developing the clinical quality program for ILD care; active participation in regional, national, and international ILD meetings and conferences; education of residents and staff; community outreach; and program development. The physician leader would also be involved with building a core team of employed and independent physicians working to improve the ILD services within our system of fifteen (15) Central Florida hospital locations and eventually within our statewide hospitals. Overall dedicated time to the administrative portion of this role will fall between 20-40%.

Requirements for ILD Medical Director:

  • Fellowship training in Pulmonary Medicine
  • Board certification through ABMS or AOA in Pulmonology
  • Ideal candidate would have at least five years of experience post fellowship and demonstrated experience in a leadership role in an ILD program
  • Experience in Lung Transplant, Pulmonary Hypertension or Critical Care Medicine is welcomed but not required
  • Demonstrated excellence in clinical research

AdventHealth Medical Group Radiology - Central Florida, formerly Radiology Specialists of Florida, is seeking a full-time, ABR fellowship trained Body Radiologist to join its expanding practice of 140 radiologists. We are currently the largest radiology practice in Central Florida which includes 34 collegial, dedicated body imagers. Our facilities provide approximately 2 million exams via a large referral base of more than 3000 medical staff.

Candidates can expect sub-specialization in body imaging only. No mammo required.

Our main campus is a tertiary referral center for Central Florida with a large cancer and transplant population. This provides a large volume of advanced body MRI. Our hospital system has multiple residency programs including our own residency with 4 residents per year.

The ideal candidate would also have procedural skills to rotate with other body radiologists on dedicated procedural rotations covering CT and US procedures. 

Candidate should expect:

  • Days schedule with occasional evening coverage equal to other day radiologists. Most evenings are covered by dedicated, evenings only radiologists.
  • NO overnight responsibility with subspecialized internal overnight coverage.
  • 1 PACS system (AGFA PACS and PowerScribe systems)

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Radiology, Body Imaging

AdventHealth Medical Group Radiology - Central Florida, formerly Radiology Specialists of Florida, is seeking an overnight Body/ER Radiologist to join its expanding practice of 142 radiologists. Our facilities provide approximately 2 million exams via a large referral base of more than 3000 medical staff covering 16 hospitals.

Candidates can live anywhere is the US (except California) and work remotely if needed. The ability to work on site in Central Florida is also available. Candidates with an active Florida license are preferred.

Most of the work focuses on body ER and inpatient cases. No level one trauma. Cardiac CT experience would be a plus. There is additional separate neuroradiology and MSK coverage during the overnight shift.

The schedule is currently 14 days on/ 14 days. Every overnight radiologist is teamed up with another radiologist to cover the entire year. Additional internal moonlighting opportunities also are available for additional compensation.

Candidate should expect:

  • Overnight Only Schedule covering shifts either from 10 pm – 6 am, or 11 pm – 7am, Eastern time
  • 24 hr. 3D postprocessing lab
  • 1 PACS system (AGFA PACS and PowerScribe systems)
