AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic Pediatric Hospitalists to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa in association with AdventHealth for Children/Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando.  

The pediatric hospitalist would be expected to perform pediatric admissions to the Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit, ED pediatric consults, participate in daily family centered rounding, as well as cover the Level 1 Newborn Nursery with the support of an Advanced Practice Practitioner/Provider.  The schedule would consist of 24/7 in-house coverage resulting in approximately 13-14, 12hr shifts per month for a full-time pediatric hospitalist, which will include days, nights and weekends.

AdventHealth Tampa has partnered with AdventHealth for Children with a vision to create and deliver high quality pediatric care elevating the local market and keeping kids close to home with a seamless connection to quaternary services.  We provide full coverage of pediatric hospitalists, intensivists, and neonatologists at AdventHealth Tampa with complete access to local pediatric subspecialists.  This close collaboration also provides the ability for full quaternary services as needed through our expansive network of AdventHealth for Children.

We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, and hardworking neonatologist to join our group at the Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children located in downtown Orlando. Come and join an exciting team of nearly 20 neonatologists, 3 Neonatal Hospitalists and over 20 neonatal nurse practitioners.  We recently expanded our NICU into a newly built, beautiful, state-of-the-art facility in 2017.

We currently have 102 neonatal beds at AdventHealth for Children. We also have five other Level II NICUs in hospitals around the Central Florida area, which are staffed by our own Neonatologists, who are part of the same medical group.

Our regional network includes an OB delivery volume of approximately 15,000 births per year. Over the last couple of years, we have expanded our Maternal Fetal Medicine program and Congenital Heart surgery program and have built a pediatric and neonatal ECMO program. We have a dedicated Neonatal transport team and are supported by experienced Pediatric Subspecialists. We are very active in Quality Improvement programs and clinical research, with several multi-center extramurally funded research projects. We also have a very active Neonatal simulation program.

We have an independent General Pediatric Residency programs. Our residents rotate through the NICU. We take an active participation in their training and education.

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for a dynamic and energetic Neonatologist to join our team at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel to manage the newborn nursery with plans to expand our services to a Level 2 NICU in the near future.  A few of the recognitions and accomplishments that AdventHealth Wesley Chapel has been recognized for are the Women’s Choice Award for Obstetrics for 2021, IBM Watson Health 100 Top Hospitals for the 4th consecutive year, Baby Friendly Designation in 2021, 95th percentile for Patient Satisfaction, The hospital has been awarded its 12th consecutive “A” grade from the prestigious Leapfrog group along with a CMS 5-Star Rating

Responsibilities of the new physician will include:  Daily rounding on babies in the newborn nursery and will be on call from home for emergencies after daily rounds.  Higher acuity infants are stabilized and transferred to AdventHealth for Tampa Level 3 NICU or AdventHealth Orlando Level 3 NICU.   AdventHealth Wesley Chapel averages approximately 600-700 births per year with an average daily census of 6-7 patients.  Physicians will also have privileges at AdventHealth Zephyrhills although primary coverage in house will be at Wesley Chapel with remote supervision of NNPs at AdventHealth Zephyrhills which averages approximately 500 deliveries a year.

AdventHealth for Children is seeking a dynamic and hardworking Pediatric Palliative Medicine physician to join our team managing the complex care pediatric population. AdventHealth has a growing physician-led program that will give you the opportunity to work with an incredible, collegial multi-disciplinary team.  We direct inpatient consultation services at a tertiary hospital with plans to roll-out outpatient clinics and our “Coordinate Care for Kids” clinic. The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is looking for a fellowship trained Pediatric Urologist to join our team and continue to develop our outstanding program in Orlando, Florida.We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic team player who is interested in seeing all types of cases and patients. Our unparalleled network of 30 hospitals in the state with one children's hospital at the center provides an excellent opportunity for practice growth and professional development.

Responsibilities of the new physician will include: growing into high volume outpatient clinics with a wide variety of patients from age 0-18, outreach clinics (currently providing care in five locations including Tampa) and inpatient coverage in equal rotation with other group members. It is also possible to develop a subspecialty niche depending on the physician's interests, with complex reconstruction/spina bifida management expertise and interest of significant appeal to the program. AdventHealth is searching for a dynamic, hard-working, board certified (or board eligible) physiatrist interested mainly in inpatient consultations along with a small portion of outpatient practice. This physician would help provide consults at our large tertiary hospital,  AdventHealth Orlando, along with some weekend coverage at Winter Park, which houses our new beautiful inpatient rehab unit.  Outpatient follow up clinic is estimated at a half day per week for the first year. 

Work with our existing, highly experienced physiatrists and a terrific support team of neuropsychologists, therapists, skilled nurses, and dietitians. A full range of medical and surgical specialists also provide care for our patients on this unit.

In late 2019, we moved to a brand new, dedicated unit at Winter Park Memorial Hospital with capacity of 60 beds.  Our units currently hold specialty certifications in Stroke and Brain Injury. The new physician would work alongside three other physicians as we expand our team even further in the upcoming years.  Patient mix includes majority of cases in stroke and brain injury as well as some ortho and spinal cord injuries.

AdventHealth Medical Group Colorectal Surgery offers comprehensive treatments and minimally invasive surgery for a multitude of colorectal disorders, including colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, pelvic floor disorders, ostomy care, anal dysplasia and anorectal pathology.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The APRN or PA, under the supervision of the Physician(s) who acts as the collaborative practitioner(s), is responsible for:

• Performing health assessments including patient history and physical examination in the hospital setting – Primarily in AdventHealth Orlando Campus.

• Performs diagnostic procedures according to privileges and maintains log.

• Conditions treated include but are not limited to: Anal Abscess/Fistula, Anal Cancer, Colon and Rectal Cancer, Lower GI bleeding, Fecal Incontinence, Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Diverticular Disease, Rectal Prolapse, Hemorrhoids, Ostomy Care and Intestinal Fistulas.

• Orders, interprets and incorporates diagnostic tests, studies and lab values into the plan of care; evaluates effectiveness.

• Formulates appropriate diagnosis based on history, physical examination and clinical findings.

• Plans and provides care within the framework of policies, unit guidelines and privileges.

• Orders pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies according to privileges.

• Provides ongoing patient/family and staff education.

• Collaborates with all members of the healthcare team including family.

• Documents in a timely and thorough manner.

• Communicates report in an efficient and complete manner.

General Summary:

• Performs physical examinations of patients, evaluation and treatment of injuries or illnesses related to Head and Neck Surgery and Neurotology in the clinic and hospital setting

• Surgical first assist in OR, Rounding in the hospital, medical management in the clinic

• Performing scope related procedures, incision and drainage, suturing

• Conditions managed and surgically treated include but are not limited to: Thyroid / parathyroid / parotid conditions requiring surgery, head and neck cancer, swallowing and vocal cord disorders, and general ENT hospital consultations excluding facial trauma.

• Will also work closely with the surgical neurotologist to manage conditions including but not limited to: chronic ear disorders, hearing loss amenable to surgical intervention (otosclerosis, profound SNHL for cochlear implant), acoustic/balance nerve tumors, CSF leak and superior semicircular canal dehiscence, ear canal stenosis and atresia, eustachian tube dysfunction, and more surgically focused ear disorders. We are seeking a Certified Physician Assistant, PA-C to join a growing program and practice. The role involves direct care for infants, children, teenagers, and adults with congenital heart disease. The PA-C would work in outpatient and inpatient settings. Also, he/she will assist in the OR during surgery. The position involves collaboration between pediatric cardiology teams, neonatal ICU, pediatric ICU, and inpatient cardiology. All services would be under the supervision of the heart surgeons.
