AdventHealth, formerly Florida Hospital, is seeking an experienced Obstetrician/Gynecologist to support our Ob Hospitalist program at AdventHealth for Women (Orlando).  Candidate will join our team of 26 physicians and midwives supporting four campuses in central Florida.  Responsibilities of the Ob Hospitalist include provision of in-house obstetric coverage for unassigned and emergent obstetric patients; act as surgical assist to staff Ob/Gyn physicians upon request; manage and cover the Ob Triage unit; accept and manage maternal transfers; and provide appropriate oversight and clinical teaching of medical students, family medicine residents and other learners.  A motivation to increase patient safety and elevate patient satisfaction, along with dynamic communication skills and the ability to fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth, are required.   

We are seeking physicians with the following qualifications:

  • Current medical license (M.D. or D.O.)
  • Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Certification in adult and neonatal resuscitation
  • 5 year minimum of Labor and Delivery experience
  • Proficiency with hospital EMR systems

Ob Hospitalists will work 15 12-hour rotating day, night and weekend shifts.  Competitive compensation (with bonus potential) and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Location: Melbourne, FL - Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology

Obstetrics and Gynecology
Altamonte Springs, FL

Location: Altamonte Springs, FL - Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology

AdventHealth (formerly Florida Hospital) Medical Group OB GYN at Altamonte is seeking a dynamic and energetic OB GYN to join their busy practice. This practice serves the needs of the North Orlando community and is located in the heart of Seminole County.  Utilizing mid wives and specializing in personalized service to patients is part of the practice’s culture.  Located onsite at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, this practice performs a high volume of deliveries and surgeries.  Physician should be proficient in performing minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery.  Robotic subspecialty interest could be incorporated depending on the physician’s background and training.  Three years’ experience in an outpatient setting preferred, but not necessary.

Physician will perform deliveries in newly renovated maternity suites replete with 4D ultrasound. "The Baby Place" at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs offers a host of concierge amenities including a customized birthing plan for each mother to be. Our Birth Center is the only maternity unit to offer a birthing center within a hospital, which allows women the opportunity to customize their birth experience, giving them more power and involvement in the birthing process.

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Palliative Medicine

AdventHealth, formerly Florida Hospital, is seeking dynamic and hardworking Palliative Medicine physicians to join our team within our system in Orlando. AdventHealth has a growing physician-led program that will give you the opportunity to work with our existing palliative care team.  We direct inpatient consultation services at a tertiary hospital with a dedicated inpatient unit, with plans to roll-out outpatient clinics. This position comes with opportunities for mentorship, scholarship, working with team-based faculty, and a palliative fellowship. Team members include dedicated advanced practitioners, chaplains, child-life specialists, a pharmacist and case-managers. You will provide inpatient palliative consultation services to patients in a hospital setting. In addition, you will hold family meetings to discuss and clarify goals of care, as well as provide guidance and oversee symptom management in the inpatient and ambulatory setting.  This program emphasizes patient and family-centered care and collaboration with a team of physicians from every specialty. There is an opportunity to work with residents and fellows.

Our current needs are at AdventHealth East Orlando and an additional physician for AdventHealth Celebration and AdventHealth Kissimmee. At these locations, bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.

Requirements of the position include: 

  • Successful candidates will have strong clinical skills necessary to join our growing program.

  • Board Certification/Eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine along with active board certification through one of the co-sponsoring boards.

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Pediatric, Critical Care / Intensivist

The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is looking for an experienced Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to help lead our critical care program in Orlando.  This physician will lead the pediatric cardiac intensive care division at AdventHealth for Children. 

Responsibilities of the new physician will include clinical time and leadership responsibilities in our 10 bed CICU, along with approximately 80% of clinical time with built in administrative time depending on physician’s level of interest.  The new leader would work with our Medical Director of Pediatric and Adult Congenital Heart Surgery and work collaboratively with our dedicated peds cardiology team (seven physicians).  Our predicted case volume for the current year is 250 cases.

We have 22 bed pediatric ICU that maintains its own leadership structure along with cross coverage between our CICU and PICU teams.  We also have a pediatric residency program (launched in 2013) with six residents per year and clinical research opportunities.

The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is looking for an experienced Pediatric Intensivist to help lead our critical care program in Orlando.  This physician will lead the pediatric intensive care division at AdventHealth for Children. 

Responsibilities of the new physician will include clinical time and leadership responsibilities in our 22 bed PICU, along with approximately 80% of clinical time with built in administrative time depending on physician’s level of interest.   The new medical director would also oversee our transport program for AdventHealth for Children.  We also have a pediatric residency program (launched in 2013) with six residents per year and clinical research opportunities.   

Our 10 bed pediatric CICU maintains its own leadership structure along with cross coverage between our PICU and CICU teams.  We participate in the VPS national database along w/ the Society for Pediatric Sedation.  We have also received multiple awards through the Solutions for Patient Safety (SPS).

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking an experienced, board certified Pediatrician to anchor a new practice in the Waterford Lakes area of Orlando, Florida – one of Central Florida’s fastest growing family friendly communities. When this clinic opens in November 2020, AdventHealth Medical Group will be expanding its network of Pediatric Primary Care to the East Orlando community. Enjoy an outpatient only practice with after hours call triaged by an answering service staffed with licensed nursing professionals.

The ideal candidate will be/have:

  • Active FL medical license (or ability to secure active, unrestricted licensure)
  • Prefer at least 3-5 years’ experience in all aspects of Pediatric care (newborn through age 18)
  • Board Certification in Pediatrics
  • Experience with supervising Advanced Practice Providers (APRN and/or PA-C)
  • Proficiency with minor office-based procedures including, but not limited to: circumcisions, vaccinations, CLIA waived labs

AdventHealth for Children is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and hardworking physician in Pediatric Stem Cell and Bone Marrow Transplant to lead our team based at the Walt Disney Pavilion (website) in Orlando, Florida.  The ideal candidate would be driven to continue development of our vibrant, comprehensive pediatric BMT program in coordination with one of the largest hospital networks in the country.   New physician would work collaboratively with our Pediatric Cellular Therapy physicians, pediatric hematology / oncology program (currently three full time physicians) and our adult BMT program (four full time physicians).  We have a dedicated BMT unit as part of AdventHealth for Children and our program sees approximately 50 new oncology patients per year.   Our pediatric cellular program is FACT accredited and has averaged 27 transplants per year over the last three years.   

Requirements of the position: 

  • At least five years practice post fellowship training
  • Fellowship in Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation & Cellular Therapy
  • ACGME accredited fellowship in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. 
  • Board certification by the American Board of Pediatrics and American Board of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.   
  • Must also be eligible for unrestricted Florida medical license. 
  • Prior leadership experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with sickle cell within transplant would also be preferred.

There are also research opportunities available through our AdventHealth Cancer Institute, (website) and Center for Pediatric Research, as well as teaching opportunities through our Pediatric Residency Program.  A faculty appointment with the University of Central Florida College of Medicine is available as well.

Location: Davenport, FL - Specialty: Pediatric, Hospitalist

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic pediatric hospitalists with a focus and interest in newborn nursery care to join our team at the new AdventHealth Heart of Florida, located in Davenport, Florida (south of Orlando).   The new physician would work along with another physician to provide 24-7 coverage.  Schedule would include both restricted and unrestricted call.   Responsibilities would include delivery attendance, stabilization and resuscitation, daily rounds and circumcisions

The physicians based at Heart of Florida would have the support and experience of over 150 pediatric subspecialists based at AdventHealth for Children.  We have a dedicated neonatology transport team with over 100 Level 3 NICU beds at our main location, just north of downtown Orlando.
