Location: Davenport, FL - Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a dynamic and energetic board-certified or eligible OB/GYN to join our busy, established practice based in Central Florida, just southwest of Orlando located in Polk County.  Given a high surge in population growth and medical need, our practice is looking to meet the demanding market requirements of the community. OB/GYN is part of our multispecialty practices in Polk County that encompass Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Urology, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Surgical Breast Oncology and Breast Reconstruction, Endocrinology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Podiatry and Wound Care.  

The current OB/GYN practice of two physicians performs a high volume of deliveries and surgeries.  Physician should be proficient in performing minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery.  Robotic subspecialty interest could be incorporated depending the physician’s background and training.  Physician will perform deliveries at AdventHealth Heart of Florida.

Expectations for the new physician:

  • Daily, high volume schedule of outpatient and inpatient care

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Palliative Medicine

AdventHealth, formerly Florida Hospital, is seeking dynamic and hardworking Palliative Medicine physicians to join our team within our system in Orlando. AdventHealth has a growing physician-led program that will give you the opportunity to work with our existing palliative care team.  We direct inpatient consultation services at a tertiary hospital with a dedicated inpatient unit, with plans to roll-out outpatient clinics. This position comes with opportunities for mentorship, scholarship, working with team-based faculty, and a palliative fellowship. Team members include dedicated advanced practitioners, chaplains, child-life specialists, a pharmacist and case-managers. You will provide inpatient palliative consultation services to patients in a hospital setting. In addition, you will hold family meetings to discuss and clarify goals of care, as well as provide guidance and oversee symptom management in the inpatient and ambulatory setting.  This program emphasizes patient and family-centered care and collaboration with a team of physicians from every specialty. There is an opportunity to work with residents and fellows.

Our current needs are at AdventHealth East Orlando and an additional physician for AdventHealth Celebration and AdventHealth Kissimmee. At these locations, bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.

Pediatric & Adult Congenital Cardiologist, AdventHealth for Children

Leadership/Program Development - Adult Congenital Heart Disease

Orlando, Florida

The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children (AHFC) and AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and team-oriented Adult Congenital Cardiologist to lead and develop our Adult Congenital Cardiology Program.  The position will also include minimal involvement of general/pediatric cardiology until the ACHD program is fully established.

The applicant should have expertise in the management of adult congenital heart disease with prominent clinical, teaching, program development and research skills.  Excellent skills in leadership, collaboration and clinical management of ACHD patients is a must.  The ACHD team will include a registered nurse, advanced practice provider (APRN/PA), and a MA.  The position also involves collaboration between pediatric cardiology teams, neonatal ICU, pediatric ICU, and inpatient cardiology.

The ideal candidate would have a comfort level with participating in our outreach clinics and be willing to perform both inpatient and outpatient Adult Congenital Cardiology with limited pediatric cardiology responsibilities.

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Pediatric, Critical Care / Intensivist

The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is looking for an experienced Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to help lead our critical care program in Orlando.  This physician will lead the pediatric cardiac intensive care division at AdventHealth for Children. 

Responsibilities of the new physician will include clinical time and leadership responsibilities in our 10 bed CICU, along with approximately 80% of clinical time with built in administrative time depending on physician’s level of interest.  The new leader would work with our Medical Director of Pediatric and Adult Congenital Heart Surgery and work collaboratively with our dedicated peds cardiology team (seven physicians).  Our predicted case volume for the current year is 250 cases.

We have 22 bed pediatric ICU that maintains its own leadership structure along with cross coverage between our CICU and PICU teams.  We also have a pediatric residency program (launched in 2013) with six residents per year and clinical research opportunities.

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic Pediatric Intensivists to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa in association with AdventHealth for Children/Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando.   

The pediatric intensivist would be responsible for all admissions, procedures, medical management and leading out multidisciplinary rounds within our Pediatric Medical/Surgical ICU.  The schedule will consist of providing full coverage through restricted and unrestricted call.

AdventHealth for Children is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and hardworking physician in Pediatric Stem Cell and Bone Marrow Transplant to join our team based at the Walt Disney Pavilion (website) in Orlando, Florida.  The ideal candidate would be driven to continue development of our vibrant, comprehensive pediatric BMT program in coordination with one of the largest hospital networks in the country.   New physician would work collaboratively with our Pediatric Cellular Therapy physicians, pediatric hematology / oncology program (currently three full time physicians) and our adult BMT program (four full time physicians).  We have a dedicated BMT unit as part of AdventHealth for Children and our program sees approximately 50 new oncology patients per year.   Our pediatric cellular program is FACT accredited and has averaged 27 transplants per year over the last three years.   

Requirements of the position: 

  • Fellowship in Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation & Cellular Therapy
  • ACGME accredited fellowship in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. 
  • Board certification by the American Board of Pediatrics and American Board of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.   
  • Must also be eligible for unrestricted Florida medical license. 
  • Experience with sickle cell within transplant would also be preferred.

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic pediatric hospitalists with a focus and interest in newborn nursery care to join our team that will cover at the new AdventHealth Heart of Florida, located in Davenport, Florida (south of Orlando) and AdventHealth Celebration in Celebration, Florida.   The new physician would work with other physicians to provide 24-7 coverage at both campuses.  Schedule would include both restricted and unrestricted call.   Responsibilities would include delivery attendance, stabilization and resuscitation, daily rounds, ED and circumcisions.

The physicians based at Heart of Florida and Celebration would have the support and experience of over 150 pediatric subspecialists based at AdventHealth for Children.  AdventHealth Celebration is equipped with a brand new 10 bed Level 2 NICU and we also have a dedicated neonatology transport team with over 100 Level 3 NICU beds at our main location, just north of downtown Orlando.

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic Pediatric Hospitalists to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa in association with AdventHealth for Children/Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando.   

The pediatric hospitalist would be expected to perform pediatric admissions to the Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit, ED pediatric consults, participate in daily family centered rounding, as well as cover the Level 1 Newborn Nursery with the support of an Advanced Practice Practitioner/Provider.  The schedule would consist of 24/7 in-house coverage resulting in approximately 13-14, 12hr shifts per month for a full-time pediatric hospitalist, which will include days, nights and weekends.

Coverage would include in house as well as call.  Physicians would need to be comfortable with general pediatric patients and attending high risk deliveries as well as well newborn care and be proficient with procedures such as circumcisions and intubations.  The newborn service is supported by a level 2 NICU, staffed by experienced neonatologists, who will be available on call for high risk deliveries.
