AdventHealth Cancer Institute (AHCI) based in Orlando, Florida, is looking for a dynamic physician to join our Neuro-Oncology program.  This neuro oncologist will help grow our program and manage neuro-oncology patients in our busy, high-volume practice (we have over 100 gliomas per year). The practice includes a dedicated social worker and dedicated chemotherapy nurse, with multiple satellites for chemo infusion at various locations.  AHCI also has a Gamma Knife, stereotactic radiosurgery, Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy, and an extensive, statewide radiation oncology program, including a CNS-trained radiation oncologist.

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Neurologist specializing in Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis (MS) to join our growing, multidisciplinary team at the Orlando Innovation Tower. This position offers the opportunity to practice advanced, patient-centered neuroimmunology care within a large academic medical center and participate in clinical education and research initiatives. We will also consider candidates for a directorship position based on years of experience and academic performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive clinical care to patients with neuroimmunologic disorders including multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders, autoimmune encephalitis, and other related diseases.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neurology subspecialists, rehabilitation, imaging, and infusion services.
  • Participate actively in the Neurology Residency Program — providing teaching, mentorship, and supervision for residents and medical students.

AdventHealth Neuroscience Institute, and AdventHealth Medical Group are seeking General Neurologists for our expanding program in Central Florida.  New physician would join with our existing team of neurologists to provide General Neurology care with openings at our Orlando and Celebration outpatient clinics.  

We are growing into one comprehensive team that will help to grow outpatient practices among our nine-hospital system in Orlando.  This general neurology role would join our subspecialty leaders in movement disorders, neuromuscular medicine, neuroimmunology, behavioral and memory disorders, and headache medicine in a growing destination neurology program that treats patients and contributes to the body of knowledge through research. AdventHealth Neurology and Neurosurgery is a nationally ranked program in US News & World Report year after year.

AdventHealth also has an advanced comprehensive stroke center providing endovascular procedures 24/7. Our neurosurgery program performed more craniotomy and spine surgery than any other hospitals in Florida. Neurology Residency Program Director

We are seeking an experienced and visionary neurology residency program director to lead the establishment and management of a new Neurology Fellowship Program. The Program Director will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing all aspects of the residency program to ensure it meets the highest standards of excellence in education, clinical training, and research. This is a unique opportunity to shape a program that will contribute to advancing the field of Neurology and training the next generation of specialists. We are affiliated with Loma Linda medical school and designated clinical campus for medical students. Academic rank is available to program directors upon successful submission of the application.

AdventHealth Orlando is continuing to grow its Neuroscience Institute with a new Brain Health flagship building which opened in 2022. Our Neuro Critical Care Fellowship was accredited by the UCNS in early 2019.  Our Neuroscience Institute at AdventHealth Orlando consists of 120 dedicated neurology beds which includes forty neuro-intensive care units, eight dedicated neurosurgical OR suites with an intraoperative 3T MRI and 64 slice CT, FDG-PET, SPECT, and MEG lab.  AdventHealth Orlando has been awarded the highest designation, a Level 4 Epilepsy Center, by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC). AdventHealth Neurology and Neurosurgery is a top 50 programs in US News & World Report year after year. In 2024 it ranked number 30 nationally in neurology and neurosurgery

AdventHealth also has an advanced comprehensive stroke center providing endovascular procedures 24/7. We are growing into one comprehensive team that will focus this outpatient program around our ten hospitals system in our Central Florida Division totaling over 3,000 beds.  The new physician would join with our existing team of neurology subspecialty leaders in Neuromuscular, Headache, Neuroimmunology, and Movement Disorders as well as our general neurologists.

General Summary: The APP under the supervision and direction of the Physician and within the credentialing standards of the Hospital: (other duties as assigned)

• Obtain patient health histories and complete physical examinations and documents findings

• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests, explaining the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of procedure(s) to patients, patient's family, staff and healthcare learners.

• Formulates and implements a treatment plan for acute illness management in collaboration with the designated primary supervising physician and/or attending back-up physician(s) and documents as necessary

• Assesses patients for changes in status and institutes appropriate interventions, including initiation of necessary emergency interventions to stabilize patient.

• Procedures performed but not limited to: inserts and manages arterial catheters, central venous catheters, and other procedures commensurate with an ICU environment, CPR; airway management including bag and mask ventilation, endotracheal intubation and extubation, repositioning endotracheal tubes; and defibrillation
