Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Surgery, Transplant: Thoracic

AdventHealth Orlando, Florida is looking for a dynamic and energetic thoracic transplant surgeon to join our busy transplant program.  The surgeon will work with our currently experienced and established cardiology transplant medical/care team to help continue to grow a high quality and highly sustainable heart transplant program.  We have a full comprehensive Transplant Institute that includes both thoracic and abdominal transplant teams.  Our team performs over 50 hearts, 20 lungs, and 30-50 VAD’s per year with multi organ transplant capability.   

The AdventHealth Transplant Institute is located at AdventHealth Orlando, Florida just outside downtown Orlando close to the charming Winter Park community.  In 2020, AdventHealth Orlando opened a state of-the-art 32 bed ECMO unit dedicated to the cardio thoracic transplant service.  AdventHealth has a hospital-based organ procurement organization (OurLegacy is a top performing OPO in the United States). 

Transplant Surgeon Requirements:

  • Board certification by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery 
  • Thoracic transplant fellowship training
  • Interest in large volume program with advanced cardiac surgery, heart transplant, acute shock, heart failure and mechanical circulatory support
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with both private practice and employed models

Our AdventHealth Heart, Lung and Vascular Institute (HLVI) is one of the busiest centers of its kind in the nation. We are a leading provider of cardiovascular and thoracic services among Medicare patients with national rankings that include: #1 in Cardiology volume, #1 in Vascular Surgery volume, #5 in Thoracic Surgery volume and #8 in Open Heart Surgery volume. The AdventHealth HLVI is centered in a quaternary facility known as AdventHealth Orlando with a beautiful Ginsburg Tower. This 15-story sanctuary of healing offers patients a full range of comprehensive heart and vascular care, including 12 hybrid operating rooms housing electrophysiology, vascular and invasive cardiology.

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a Urology Hospitalist to provide dedicated inpatient urological care at AdventHealth Orlando. This role offers a unique opportunity to focus on hospital-based care with a consistent shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide inpatient call coverage at AdventHealth Orlando 
  • Manage inpatient urology consults from hospital floors and emergency department 
  • Perform bedside procedures, including cystoscopies, as well as other necessary urological procedures 
  • Conduct daily rounding on urology patients 
  • Collaborate with clinic-based urologists to ensure seamless patient care and follow-up 
  • 15 shifts per month

Qualifications: 

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Urology 
  • Strong clinical skills in inpatient care and urological procedures 
  • Active FL license and DEA, or ability to obtain 
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clinic-based colleagues

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and hard-working general urologist to join our team in Central Florida.  The new physician would join three current urologists as part of our Altamonte Springs practice location. Responsibilities will include inpatient call coverage at the AdventHealth Altamonte Springs location. A shared call model with other urologists and APP’s make weekend call less frequent.  Robotic surgery is also available within our system.  We also have potential ASC investment opportunities. 

Requirements for the position:  Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Urology.  High caliber, quality focused, innovative physicians should apply.  Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.  At least three years of experience is preferred.

AdventHealth Central Florida Division, is looking to expand the vascular surgery program in the Altamonte Springs area. We are in search of dynamic and hardworking vascular surgeon to join our group. 

  • This position is perfect for someone looking to build up a new practice and program at our Altamonte Springs campus.

AdventHealth Orlando is looking for a dynamic and hardworking physician to join our vascular surgery group.   This employment opportunity with AdventHealth Medical Group Vascular Surgery at Orlando includes five physicians based at our quaternary facility.  The new physician would see a broad array of cases, both open and endovascular, in a fast-paced and busy environment based at Orlando campus with call coverage in the central pod.  The opportunity includes the benefits of a collegial team atmosphere, mentoring, cross coverage, and employment infrastructure with strong competitive benefits, base salary and bonus productivity potential. 

Requirements: Fellowship training in Vascular Surgery. Physician must be board certified or board eligible in Vascular Surgery through the American Board of Surgery, have a minimum of five years of practice experience, and be able to obtain a Florida medical license.

The AdventHealth Urology Residency Program seeks an academically driven Core Faculty Member to join its ACGME-accredited program in Orlando, FL. The faculty member will support resident education, clinical excellence, and scholarly activity while advancing AdventHealth’s mission: “To Extend the Healing Ministry of Christ.”

Role Summary

  • Teach, mentor, and supervise residents across inpatient, outpatient, and surgical settings.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director to maintain ACGME compliance and program quality.
  • Lead or participate in didactics, case conferences, journal clubs, and simulation training (Nicholson Center).
  • Serve on key residency committees (CCC, PEC, Curriculum, Recruitment).
  • Maintain an active clinical practice in urology and model high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in research, quality improvement, and scholarly publication.
  • Support program operations, curriculum development, and accreditation processes.


Qualifications
Required:

  • MD/DO, Florida medical license (or eligibility).
  • Strong commitment to resident education and mentorship.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Alignment with AdventHealth mission and values.

Preferred:

  • Fellowship training in a urologic subspecialty.
  • Prior academic or teaching experience. (will also consider new grads with interest in teaching)
  • Record of scholarly activity.
  • Familiarity with ACGME standards and simulation-based education.

Effort Allocation

  • Clinical: 60–70%
  • Education/Admin: 20–30% (protected time)
  • Scholarly: ~10%
