AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic Pediatric Hospitalists to join our team at AdventHealth Daytona Beach in association with AdventHealth for Children/Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando.

The pediatric hospitalist would be expected to perform pediatric admissions to the dedicated Pediatric Floor, ED pediatric consults, participate in daily family centered rounding, as well as cover the Level 1 Newborn Nursery. The schedule would consist of approximately 15 12hr shifts per month.

AdventHealth Daytona Beach has partnered with AdventHealth for Children with a vision to create and deliver high quality pediatric care elevating the local market and keeping kids close to home with a seamless connection to quaternary services. We provide full coverage of pediatric hospitalists and neonatologists at AdventHealth Daytona Beach. This close collaboration also provides the ability for full quaternary services as needed through our expansive network of AdventHealth for Children.

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Pediatric, Neonatology

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for a dynamic, innovative and energetic neonatologist to cover in our Level 2 NICU’s throughout AdventHealth across Central Florida. Our program at AdventHealth for Children has also been recognized as having the Best Newborn Care by US News and World Report. The flexible schedule includes both restricted (in house) and unrestricted call (at home) consisting of approximately 7 shifts a month. The Neonatologist will cover at our Level 2 NICUs within Central Florida. There will also be plans to hire in a team of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to cover the NICU at night. Additionally, we have a Pediatric Hospitalist on site managing the newborn service. The Neonatologist will need to be available, on call, for high risk deliveries.

The physicians will be part of a larger group of neonatologists that are part of AdventHealth for Children Orlando, formerly Florida Hospital for Children. Our regional network includes a delivery volume of approximately 15,000 births per year. We have a dedicated Neonatal transport team and are supported by experienced Pediatric Subspecialists.

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for a dynamic, innovative and energetic neonatologist to cover in our Level 2 NICU at AdventHealth Celebration located in Celebration, Florida.  Our program at AdventHealth for Children has also been recognized as having the Best Newborn Care by US News and World Report.  The flexible schedule includes both restricted (in house) and unrestricted call (at home) consisting of approximately 15 shifts a month.  The Neonatologist will cover the 10 bed Level 2 NICU at AdventHealth Celebration. There will also be plans to hire in a team of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to cover the NICU at night.  There will also be a Pediatric Hospitalist on site managing the newborn service.  The Neonatologist will need to be available, on call, for high risk deliveries.  AdventHealth Celebration is averaging more than 3,000 deliveries a year. This program is built for two full time neonatologists and will also include a rotation at our 102 bed Level 3 NICU at AdventHealth for Women in Orlando, Florida.

The physicians will be part of a larger group of neonatologists that are part of AdventHealth for Children Orlando, formerly Florida Hospital for Children. Our regional network includes a delivery volume of approximately 15,000 births per year. We have a dedicated Neonatal transport team and are supported by experienced Pediatric Subspecialists.

This position would also have the support of our Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children in Orlando is a full service, tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, including a 22 bed PICU, 10 bed Cardiac ICU, a 102 bed NICU, 17 bed pediatric emergency department and statewide pediatric network and transport system.  We started our comprehensive pediatric open-heart program in 2012 and have a strong track record of positive outcomes.  We also have several key destination programs including our level IV Epilepsy program, and we increased Orlando area NICU beds to 150 total in 2017.  Our unparalleled network consists of 30 hospitals across the state with one children’s hospital at the center and several extremely successful pediatric subspecialty programs including outreach clinics.  Our newest program has brought pediatric liver transplant services to Central Florida.  In 2019, 2020, and 2021 AdventHealth for Children is recognized by US News and World Report as the best Children’s Hospital for newborn care in Florida.  We are also recognized by The Leapfrog Group as a top Children’s Hospital for quality and safety, and we are a magnet designated hospital for nursing care.

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for a dynamic and energetic Neonatologist to join our team at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel to manage the newborn nursery with plans to expand our services to a Level 2 NICU in the near future.  A few of the recognitions and accomplishments that AdventHealth Wesley Chapel has been recognized for are the Women’s Choice Award for Obstetrics for 2021, IBM Watson Health 100 Top Hospitals for the 4th consecutive year, Baby Friendly Designation in 2021, 95th percentile for Patient Satisfaction, The hospital has been awarded its 12th consecutive “A” grade from the prestigious Leapfrog group along with a CMS 5-Star Rating

Responsibilities of the new physician will include:  Daily rounding on babies in the newborn nursery and will be on call from home for emergencies after daily rounds.  Higher acuity infants are stabilized and transferred to AdventHealth for Tampa Level 3 NICU or AdventHealth Orlando Level 3 NICU.   AdventHealth Wesley Chapel averages approximately 600-700 births per year with an average daily census of 6-7 patients.  Physicians will also have privileges at AdventHealth Zephyrhills although primary coverage in house will be at Wesley Chapel with remote supervision of NNPs at AdventHealth Zephyrhills which averages approximately 500 deliveries a year.

General Summary:

The APP, under the supervision of the Physicians is responsible for:

• Performs physical examinations of patients, assessment and treatment of injuries or illnesses for adolescent through geriatric patients, including women’s health

• Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc.

• Independent and collaborative medical management of acute and chronic conditions

• Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed

• Maintain accurate records and schedules

• Collaborates with physician supervisor and staff, as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff

• Educate patients and their families on conditions, disease, epidemics and prevention
