Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Palliative Medicine

AdventHealth, formerly Florida Hospital, is seeking a dynamic Palliative Medicine physician to join our team within our system. Our leadership has committed to redefine and expand the program with a new initiative to target the entire hospital division. Palliative care is represented at five of these institutions with a plan to increase care and expand to all campuses. The current opportunity is at the Orlando campus, AdventHealth Orlando which has a need to assist oncology and cardiology (ECMO, LVAD) in best treatment of their patients. The position will help guide inpatient consultation services of the interdisciplinary team of advanced practitioners, chaplain, pharmacist and social workers. The program has a two person AAHPM fellowship so teaching, mentorship and scholarly work is valued. Clinical care expectations include goals of care, family meetings and complex symptom management in the inpatient setting. The program strives to foster a growth mindset and appreciates its wide diversity of providers backgrounds including psychiatry, family medicine, critical care and internal medicine.

Requirements of the position include: 

  • Successful candidates will have strong clinical skills and desire to grow with the program
  • Board Certification/Eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine along with active board certification through one of the co-sponsoring boards.

Pediatric & Adult Congenital Cardiologist, AdventHealth for Children

Leadership/Program Development - Adult Congenital Heart Disease

Orlando, Florida

The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children (AHFC) and AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and team-oriented Adult Congenital Cardiologist to lead and develop our Adult Congenital Cardiology Program.  The position will also include minimal involvement of general/pediatric cardiology until the ACHD program is fully established.

The applicant should have expertise in the management of adult congenital heart disease with prominent clinical, teaching, program development and research skills.  Excellent skills in leadership, collaboration and clinical management of ACHD patients is a must.  The ACHD team will include a registered nurse, advanced practice provider (APRN/PA), and a MA.  The position also involves collaboration between pediatric cardiology teams, neonatal ICU, pediatric ICU, and inpatient cardiology.

The ideal candidate would have a comfort level with participating in our outreach clinics and be willing to perform both inpatient and outpatient Adult Congenital Cardiology with limited pediatric cardiology responsibilities.

Location: Tampa, FL - Specialty: Pediatric, Cardiology

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) are looking for a dynamic and energetic Pediatric Cardiologist to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa in association with AdventHealth for Children/Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando.   

This position is a result of programmatic and companywide growth throughout AdventHealth as we begin this exciting adventure of establishing high quality pediatric services to Tampa, Florida.  The ideal candidate would have experience in fetal echocardiography and building a new pediatric cardiology practice.  A primary outpatient clinic will be conveniently located nearby the main hospital campus of AdventHealth Tampa where inpatient consults would be performed.  The practice would be affiliated to AHMG Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiology, a seven-physician practice, based out of Orlando, Florida.

AdventHealth Tampa has partnered with AdventHealth for Children with a vision to create and deliver high quality pediatric care elevating the local market and keeping kids close to home with a seamless connection to quaternary services.  We provide full coverage of pediatric hospitalists, intensivists, and neonatologists at AdventHealth Tampa with complete access to local pediatric subspecialists.  This close collaboration also provides the ability for full quaternary services as needed through our expansive network of AdventHealth for Children.

The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is looking for an experienced Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to help lead our critical care program in Orlando.  This physician will lead the pediatric cardiac intensive care division at AdventHealth for Children. 

Responsibilities of the new physician will include clinical time and leadership responsibilities in our 10 bed CICU, along with approximately 80% of clinical time with built in administrative time depending on physician’s level of interest.  The new leader would work with our Medical Director of Pediatric and Adult Congenital Heart Surgery and work collaboratively with our dedicated peds cardiology team (seven physicians).  Our predicted case volume for the current year is 250 cases.

We have 22 bed pediatric ICU that maintains its own leadership structure along with cross coverage between our CICU and PICU teams.  We also have a pediatric residency program (launched in 2013) with six residents per year and clinical research opportunities.

The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is looking for an experienced Pediatric Intensivist to help lead our critical care program in Orlando.  This physician will lead the pediatric intensive care division at AdventHealth for Children in Orlando along with oversight of our PICU in AdventHealth Tampa.

Responsibilities of the new physician will include clinical time and leadership responsibilities in our 22 bed PICU, along with approximately 80% of clinical time with built in administrative time depending on physician’s level of interest.   The new medical director would also oversee our transport program for AdventHealth for Children.  We also have a pediatric residency program (launched in 2013) with six residents per year and clinical research opportunities.   

Our 10 bed pediatric CICU maintains its own leadership structure along with cross coverage between our PICU and CICU teams.  We participate in the VPS national database along w/ the Society for Pediatric Sedation.  We have also received multiple awards through the Solutions for Patient Safety (SPS).

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking an experienced, board certified Pediatrician to anchor a new practice in the Waterford Lakes area of Orlando, Florida – one of Central Florida’s fastest growing family friendly communities. When this clinic opens in November 2020, AdventHealth Medical Group will be expanding its network of Pediatric Primary Care to the East Orlando community. Enjoy an outpatient only practice with after hours call triaged by an answering service staffed with licensed nursing professionals.

The ideal candidate will be/have:

  • Active FL medical license (or ability to secure active, unrestricted licensure)

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for a dynamic pediatric hematologist/oncologist to join our team of pediatric blood and cancer specialists based at The Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando, Florida.  The ideal candidate would have clinical experience post fellowship and be interested in an active clinical opportunity.  Training and/or interest in Pediatric Neuro Oncology is preferred but not required.   

The new physician would also share in the inpatient service rotation with our pediatric hematology and oncology team of three physicians and three advanced practice providers.  Our hospital is part of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG) and actively participates in over 40 open COG clinical trials.

Coverage would include in house as well as call.  Physicians would need to be comfortable with general pediatric patients and attending high risk deliveries as well as well newborn care and be proficient with procedures such as circumcisions and intubations.  The newborn service is supported by a level 2 NICU, staffed by experienced neonatologists, who will be available on call for high risk deliveries.

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic pediatric hospitalist with a focus and interest in newborn nursery care to join our team at the Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando.  Our program at AdventHealth for Children has also been recognized as having the Best Newborn Care by US News and World Report.  We have over 100 NICU beds with Level 3 capability at our Children’s Hospital, including all major pediatric subspecialties.  Schedule would include 14 shifts a month of both restricted and unrestricted call.  The Pediatric Hospitalist program is partnered with Graduate Medical Education, thus providing the opportunity to work with our pediatric residents.  Our pediatric hospitalist team consists of over 20 physicians and 6 APP’s that help provide care to 7 locations across our network.

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for a dynamic, innovative and energetic neonatologist to cover in our Level 2 NICU at AdventHealth Celebration located in Celebration, Florida.  Our program at AdventHealth for Children has also been recognized as having the Best Newborn Care by US News and World Report.  The flexible schedule includes both restricted (in house) and unrestricted call (at home) consisting of approximately 14 shifts a month.  The Neonatologist will cover the 10 bed Level 2 NICU at AdventHealth Celebration.  There will also be a Pediatric Hospitalist on site managing the newborn service.   The Neonatologist will need to be available, on call, for high risk deliveries.  AdventHealth Celebration is averaging more than 3,000 deliveries a year. This program is built for two full time neonatologists and will also include a rotation at our 102 bed Level 3 NICU at AdventHealth for Women in Orlando, Florida.

The physicians will be part of a larger group of neonatologists that are part of AdventHealth for Children Orlando, formerly Florida Hospital for Children. Our regional network includes a delivery volume of approximately 15,000 births per year. We have a dedicated Neonatal transport team and are supported by experienced Pediatric Subspecialists.
