Pediatric Developmental Psychologist

Full Time Position

AdventHealth Medical Group Developmental Pediatrics at Orlando

The Licensed Psychologist will work in a collaborative multidisciplinary team with physicians and advanced practice providers in determining patient’s comprehensive plan of care. The Licensed Psychologist will identify psychological, emotional, or behavioral issues and diagnose disorders, using information obtained from interviews, tests, records, and reference materials. The Licensed Psychologist has the knowledge and ability to work with pediatric patients from birth to 18-21 years of age and their families.

General Summary:  The developmental Psychologist is responsible for but not limited to:

  • Perform diagnostic tests for new patients, additional testing for already established patients
  • Ability to perform Mullen, WISC V, WPPSI, TONI, Bayley, Kaufmann Assessment, CARS-2, and ADOS-2 Testing
  • Interview patients and families, perform diagnostic testing
  • Provide diagnosis based on assessments, testing and evaluation
  • Develop and recommend treatment plans based on patient needs and diagnosis
  • Completes all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner
  • Plans and provides care within the framework of policies, unit guidelines and privileges.
  • Collaborates with all members of the healthcare team including family to provide preeminent care.
  • Communicates report in an efficient and complete manner. 

Required Education, Certification and Experience:

  • Doctorate Degree in Psychology or Ph.D.
  • Active, valid Florida License in Psychology

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience as a school psychologist (Preferred)
  • Psychologist experienced in pediatrics with familiarity with the testing listed above (Preferred)
  • Spanish a plus!

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care

AdventHealth Orlando is establishing an Advanced Lung Disease Institute and is looking for an experienced leader to help develop our subspecialty program in Interstitial Lung Disease.  

Responsibilities would include the following: leading the clinical quality for ILD care including quality metrics and quality assurance teams; active participation in regional, national, and international ILD meetings and conferences; education of residents and staff; community outreach and marketing; and program development including the creation of a multidisciplinary team in support of the program.  The physician leader would also be involved with building a core team of physicians working to improve the ILD services within our system of nine Central Florida hospital locations and eventually within our statewide hospitals.  Overall dedicated time to the administrative portion of this role will fall between 20-40%.

Requirements for ILD Medical Director:

  • Fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
  • Board certification through ABMS or AOA in Pulmonology
  • Ideal candidate would have at least five years of experience post fellowship and demonstrated experience in a leadership role in an ILD program
  • Demonstrated excellence in clinical research
  • Strong collaborative, strategic and communication skills
  • The ability to build and shape a program
  • The ability to develop and work within a multi-disciplinary team

AdventHealth Medical Group Radiology - Central Florida, formerly Radiology Specialists of Florida, is seeking a full-time ABR fellowship trained Cardiothoracic Imager to join its expanding practice of 120 radiologists. Our facilities provide approximately 2 million exams via a large referral base of more than 3000 medical staff.

Candidate should expect:

  • No Overnight call
  • 24 hr. 3D post processing lab
  • Practice model is sub-specialty based interpretations
  • 1 PACS system (AGFA PACS and PowerScribe systems)
  • Opportunity to participate in clinical research and resident education
  • Extremely competitive base compensation, bonus opportunities, plus 10-12 weeks paid time off

Clinical responsibilities include interpreting all aspects of thoracic and cardiac imaging including radiography, CT, and MR. Familiarity with pediatric and adult congenital heart disease (CHD) would be preferred but not required. Besides the described cardiothoracic studies, the candidates will also have the opportunity to read as much abdominal imaging as they wish. Performing thoracic procedures, mammography, and general radiology is NOT required for this position.

AdventHealth Medical Group Radiology - Central Florida, formerly Radiology Specialists of Florida is seeking a full-time ABR fellowship trained Diagnostic Imager to join its expanding practice of 115 radiologists. This candidate will work at AdventHealth Manchester, formerly Manchester Memorial Hospital in Manchester, Kentucky but support all of our additional facilities under one PACS system. Background in mammography and/or IR a plus, but not necessary. Our facilities provide more than 2 million exams via a large referral base of more than 3000 medical staff.

Candidate should expect:

  • No Overnight Call

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Sports Medicine, FM

AdventHealth in partnership with the NBA’s Orlando Magic is looking for a dynamic, innovative, and experienced sports medicine physician who will provide comprehensive medical care for the Orlando Magic players (as well as other athletes) to help them improve performance, enhance overall health, and prevent injuries.  This physician should be a critical thinker with the ability to completely rehabilitate an injured athlete through accurate diagnoses and effective treatment.  The Magic team physician will be present for all Orlando home games and serve as the visiting team physician as well as participate in other team activities as needed. 

This is an extremely exciting opportunity to work with an NBA team in conjunction with the #1 hospital in Florida (US News and World Report).  The Orlando Magic physician would also work in collaboration with the Orlando Magic High Performance multi-disciplinary team of strength and conditioning coaches, physical therapists, athletic trainers, orthopedic surgery, and sports scientists. 

Primary requirements:

  • Medical degree – MD or DO
  • Board Certification and completion of residency training in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, PM&R or Emergency Medicine
  • Completion of Sports Medicine Fellowship or a Certification of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Sports Medicine
  • Five years of experience post fellowship
  • Experience working with a professional or large collegiate sports team; knowledge of NBA rules and player health regulations is preferred
  • Current or ability to get full unrestricted medical license for the State of Florida
  • Ability to tailor strategies that assist athletes in overcoming difficulties, improving performance and preparing for competition
  • Fosters a whole-athlete approach to the care of the athletes, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including other health care providers and specialists to provide optimal care for each individual athlete

Primary responsibilities:

  • Examine and evaluate athletes prior to participation in sports activities to determine level of physical fitness or predisposition to injuries
  • Provide education and counseling on illness
  • Inform athletes about nutrition, hydration, dietary supplements, or uses and possible consequences of medication
  • Record athletes' medical histories and perform physical examinations
  • Prescribe medications for cases of sickness, allergies or infectious disease
  • Responsible for attending every Orlando Magic home game, and will serve as the team physician for the visiting team

AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is looking for a dynamic and energetic General Surgeon to join an established practice in Kissimmee, Florida.  Located onsite at AdventHealth Kissimmee, AHMG General Surgery at Kissimmee is seeking a partner with the desire to build a practice and foster collegial relationships with community-based physicians.

Requirement: Board certified/eligible with the American Board of Surgery 

Ideal candidate should expect:

  • Bread and Butter general surgery
  • New operating rooms/surgical space including Da Vinci XI
  • Protected surgical block time
  • Desire to handle a very high-volume case load
  • ED call at one hospital with additional gap call opportunities at other AH facilities

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking two dynamic and energetic, board certified urologists to join our busy, established practice based in Central Florida, just south of Orlando in the Davenport and Lake Wales area.  Given a high surge in population growth and medical need, our practice is looking to meet the demanding market requirements of the community. Urology is part of a 33-provider multispecialty practice that encompasses Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, GI, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Surgical Breast Oncology, Surgical Breast Reconstruction, Endocrinology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Podiatry and Wound Care.  

The main opportunity will be based at AdventHealth Heart of Florida in Davenport with some coverage at AdventHealth Lake Wales.  Timeshare / satellite clinic locations will also be discussed for future market growth.  New physicians will have opportunity to perform robotic work.

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for dynamic and hard-working urologists to join our team in Central Florida.  The new physicians would join our outstanding urologists and help to grow our outpatient presence in new markets in the area.  Responsibilities also include inpatient call coverage at the primary AdventHealth hospital location in rotation with practice partners.  A shared call model with other urologists in town make weekend call less frequent.  Robotic surgery is also available within our system.

Requirements for the position:  Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Urology.  High caliber, quality focused, innovative physicians should apply.  Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
