AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic, energetic and team-oriented fellowship trained hematologist oncologist to join AdventHealth Medical Group at our AdventHealth Winter Park location, just minutes outside of downtown Orlando.  This opportunity would provide inpatient and outpatient services to that community seeing a variety of oncology patients.  The ideal candidate will have experience with practice building in a new market and seeing a variety of hem malignancies and solid tumor patients.  Rotation of call would be shared with the other physicians in the practice including weekends.

Location: Kissimmee, FL - Specialty: Hematology / Oncology

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a fellowship trained hematologist oncologist to join a busy four-physician practice with offices at AdventHealth Kissimmee and AdventHealth Celebration, just south of downtown Orlando and near the attractions. The ideal candidate will have an interest in Breast Oncology and will also continue to manage general hematology/oncology patients. We are in the process of establishing a breast multidisciplinary clinic at AdventHealth Kissimmee and the new physician will have an active role in this program. Rotation of call would include both inpatient and outpatient in equal share with the other physicians. This is a new position to accommodate the growth of the practice and community.

The new physician would be part of our AdventHealth Cancer Institute with resources to participate in clinical trials and daily tumor boards. Infusion and radiation oncology are (or will be) present at both Kissimmee and Celebration locations.

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a team-oriented fellowship trained hematologist oncologist to lead out as the Medical Director of Melanoma, Sarcoma with AdventHealth Medical Group in the beautiful Orlando, Florida.

  • Experience in programmatic building within Melanoma Sarcoma would be required.
  • Development and deployment of tumor specific pathways and standards of care as well as the clinical/translational research agenda.
  • Dedicated administrative time.

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Hepatology, Transplant

AdventHealth Transplant Institute in Orlando, Formerly Florida Hospital Transplant Institute, is seeking a Transplant Hepatologist to join its Liver Transplant program. Established in 2007, the Liver Transplant program has transplanted more than 600 patients and continues to grow every year. AdventHealth owns and operates the OurLegacy Organ Procurement Organization which recovers an average of 100 deceased donor livers annually. AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and quality focused  nocturnist  to join our team of hospitalists at our highly rated, 253 bed community Hospital in Orange City, FL.  Located only a short drive from the Lake Mary/Sanford area, and easily accessible from the highway, allowing the option to either live locally or drive a short commute from one our neighboring cities. The AdventHealth Fish Memorial team consists of (8) day physicians , (2) nocturnists, and (2) APP’s.    Our hospitalists work in teams rotating a 7 on /7 off schedule. Collectively, the AdventHealth Medical Group Hospitalists cover 5 hospitals in Volusia and Lake counties, allowing opportunities for collegial cross-coverage and additional shift pick-ups with generous compensation at campuses other than the primary campus.

Practice Overview

The practice is a part of AdventHealth Medical Group.  Our hospitalist team is a substantial percentage of our Medical Group currently with over 80 providers. AHMG is a sister organization of AdventHealth which employs 350+ physicians in 27 individual service lines. This aligned model and practice management experience provides the opportunity for the physicians to focus on the clinical aspects of medicine.

Location: Deland, FL - Specialty: Hospitalist

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and quality focused physician leader to join our growing team of hospitalists at our highly rated, 164 bed Hospital in DeLand, FL. 

We are seeking a physician leader with a collaborative  leadership style who will model and lead excellence in clinical practice, doctor-patient relationships, and professionalism while maintaining AdventHealth’ s Mission, Vision, Values. 

AdventHealth DeLand’s team consists of (8) day physicians, (2) nocturnists, and (2) APP’s. The APP support is in a swing shift role to assist with ED through put. Our hospitalists work in teams rotating a 7 on /7   off schedule. Our shifts run from (7a-7p) and (7p-7a).

Schedule for the assistant director is 7 on / 7 off Day (182 shifts per year) with both clinical and administrative duties and protected time to accomplish administrative responsibilities.

  Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the medical director with the oversight of quality improvement projects, to ensure compliance with hospital quality of care and safety programs
  • Developing program goals
  • Conducting ongoing individual assessments of providers
  • Orient and coach hospitalists who are new to the Program
  • Working with medical group and hospital leadership to assist with operational efficiencies and budget cost management
  • Assist with, promote, and attend meeting   
  • Assist in development of educational programs related to the hospitalist providers. 
  • Coordination of hospitalist schedule (via AMION) to ensure program efficiency and productivity while ensuring safe and quality patient care.
  • Assist in receiving, investigating, and resolving patient or physician grievances, care opportunities, complaints, and/or questions related to the AHMG Hospitalist program.
