Full-time opportunity in an outpatient setting for an APP or PA-C

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or PA to join our growing behavioral health team. The APP or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s) who acts as the collaborative practitioner(s), is responsible for:

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to formulate accurate diagnoses
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapeutic interventions
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring for efficacy and side effects
  • Provide trauma-informed psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, families, and groups to address mental health challenges and promote resilience
  • Collaborate effectively with our primary care providers, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated whole person care
  • Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for managing and improving overall well-being
  • Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients

General Summary:

Utilizes expertise in patient/family assessment incorporating physical, psycho-social, environmental, spiritual, and financial factors to assess patients for barriers that interfere with the attainment of healthcare goals.

  • Responsible for assessment and treatment of individuals with developmental disorders, mental, emotional, social or substance abuse problems, including abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and/or other related drugs.
  • Educates the health care team and physicians about psycho-social issues and identified patient/family problems as well as recommends strategies to address these issues.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the primary care providers to improve health outcomes.
  • Facilitate referrals to other services (e.g. substance abuse treatment, specialty care and community resources as needed).
  • Collaboration with local community agencies and school systems to support mental health services.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of activities and services provided to each client.
  • Provides ongoing patient/family and staff education.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The APRN or PA, under the supervision of the Physician(s) who acts as the collaborative practitioner(s), is responsible for:
•    Performing health assessments including patient history and physical examination in the office setting – Primarily in Apopka, FL
•    Performs diagnostic procedures according to privileges and maintains log.  
•    Orders, interprets and incorporates diagnostic tests, studies and lab values into the plan of care; evaluates effectiveness.
•    Formulates appropriate diagnosis based on history, physical examination and clinical findings.
•    Plans and provides care within the framework of policies, unit guidelines and privileges.
•    Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies according to privileges.
•    Provides ongoing patient/family and staff education.
•    Collaborates with all members of the healthcare team including family.
•    Documents in a timely and thorough manner.
•    Communicates report in an efficient and complete manner.

•    Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

•    Call Rotation – includes overnight call and hospital rounding

AdventHealth is seeking experienced part-time or per diem Obstetrician/Gynecologists to support our OBGYN Hospitalist programs in Orlando, Winter Park, Celebration, Altamonte Springs, Melbourne, Deltona, and Daytona.  Candidates will join our team of physicians and midwives supporting campuses in central Florida.  Responsibilities of the OBGYN Hospitalist include provision of in-house obstetric coverage for unassigned and emergent obstetric patients; act as surgical assist to staff Ob/Gyn physicians upon request; manage and cover the OB Triage unit; accept and manage maternal transfers; and provide appropriate oversight and clinical teaching of medical students, family medicine residents and other learners.  A motivation to increase patient safety and elevate patient satisfaction, along with dynamic communication skills and the ability to fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth, are required.

We are seeking physicians with the following qualifications:

  • Current medical license (M.D. or D.O.)
  • Board certification or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology

AdventHealth Medical Group OB GYN at Waterman, is seeking a dynamic and energetic Obstetrician/Gynecologist to join their busy practice based at AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares, FL. This highly successful practice draws patients from the Tavares, Mount Dora and Eustis areas and care is provided in a newly renovated unit specially designed for women & children’s services.

The practice is split with a fairly equal mix of OB and GYN patients. This office is well equipped with spacious exam rooms and is staffed for in-office procedures, and current support staff includes MA's and seasoned front office personnel. All deliveries and surgeries are performed at AdventHealth Waterman. The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Desire to join a highly collegial team of experienced physicians in an employed model through AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG)
  • Experienced with laparoscopic surgery
  • Comfort with engaging members of the community to help expand market share
  • Rotating Call for the labor unit and gynecology with other members of the team
  • Board Certification (or Board Eligibility if less than 5 years out of training)

Obstetrics and Gynecology
Altamonte Springs, FL

AdventHealth Medical Group OB GYN at Altamonte Springs is seeking a dynamic and energetic OB GYN to join their busy practice. This practice serves the needs of the North Orlando community and is located in the heart of Seminole County.  Utilizing mid wives and specializing in personalized service to patients is part of the practice’s culture.  Located onsite at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, this practice performs a high volume of deliveries and surgeries.  Physician should be proficient in performing minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery.  Robotic subspecialty interest could be incorporated depending on the physician’s background and training.  Three years’ experience in an outpatient setting preferred, but not necessary.

Physician will perform deliveries in newly renovated maternity suites replete with 4D ultrasound. "The Baby Place" at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs offers a host of concierge amenities including a customized birthing plan for each mother to be. Our Birth Center is the only maternity unit to offer a birthing center within a hospital, which allows women the opportunity to customize their birth experience, giving them more power and involvement in the birthing process.

Location: Davenport, FL - Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology

 AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a dynamic and energetic board-certified or eligible OB/GYN to join our busy, established practice based in Central Florida, just southwest of Orlando located in Polk County.  Given a high surge in population growth and medical need, our practice is looking to meet the demanding market requirements of the community. OB/GYN is part of our multispecialty practices in Polk County that encompass Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Urology, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Surgical Breast Oncology and Breast Reconstruction, Endocrinology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Podiatry and Wound Care.  

The current OB/GYN practice of three physicians performs a high volume of deliveries and surgeries.  Physician should be proficient in performing minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery.  Robotic subspecialty interest could be incorporated depending the physician’s background and training.  Physician will perform deliveries at AdventHealth Heart of Florida.

AdventHealth is looking for a dynamic Palliative Medicine Executive Medical Director to continue to develop and oversee our program at our major tertiary facility in downtown Orlando, this facility is in our Central Florida Division which consists of ten hospitals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide the clinical leadership and expertise for the palliative care team to improve patient care throughout the hospital 
  • Continue to build effective relationships with referring physicians to ensure excellent follow-up by our existing team of palliative medicine physicians 
  • Facilitate continued  collaboration among specialists, PCP’s and nurses to meet the needs of patients and families
  • Continue the growth and development of the program throughout central Florida
  • Collaborate with leadership to build a strategy to provide palliative care beyond the walls of the hospital including outpatient, hospice and SNF's 
  • Continue growth and leadership of the palliative care fellowship program

Requirements of the position include:

  • At least Five years’ experience in Palliative Medicine post training
  • Active Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine along with active board certification through one of the co-sponsoring boards.
  • Previous experience in directing a program preferred but not required
