AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is looking for a dynamic, fellowship trained GYN surgeon to join a busy, established Central Florida practice in Central Florida under the leadership of Dr. Steve McCarus. Candidate will be clinically focused and must actively practice all aspects of Gynecological Surgery. A strong emphasis will be placed on evidence-based medicine with a concentration on patient centered care.. Three years experience is preferred, but not required. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a team-oriented fellowship trained, board certified/eligible surgical oncologist to lead out as the Director of Melanoma, Sarcoma surgery in the beautiful Orlando, Florida.

  • Experience in programmatic building within the sub-specialty space would be required
  • Development and deployment of tumor specific pathways and standards of care as well as the clinical/translational research agenda

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for a dynamic and energetic full time Pediatric Surgery leader to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa. 

This is a wonderful opportunity to continue to build on our strong practice with our network of hospitals in the Central Florida division.  Responsibilities of the Medical Director will include programmatic development, clinical quality and performance improvement.  Call coverage at AdventHealth Tampa with full time APP support (no trauma, no ECMO at Tampa).   New physician will help grow the outpatient clinic practice and further develop relationships with community physicians with marketing support.

AdventHealth for Children is seeking a dynamic, energetic Pediatric Cardiac Surgery leader to join our team based at the Walt Disney Pavilion (website) in Orlando, Florida.  The new Medical Director would partner with another surgeon and help to continue development of our vibrant, comprehensive pediatric open-heart program in coordination with one of the largest hospital networks in the country.  The new surgeon would work collaboratively with our dedicated peds cardiology and peds cardiac ICU teams.  

We have a network of 30 hospitals in the state with an extensive outreach system as well.  This includes multiple outpatient locations with a multidisciplinary presence.   We deliver over 20,000 babies per year throughout our system.  

Requirements of the position:  

  • Senior level surgeon experience is preferred.
  • Diplomate of the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
  • Subspecialty certification in Congenital Heart Surgery through the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
  • Documented success as an independent pediatric cardiac surgeon in all domains of clinical pediatric cardiac surgery including complex neonatal cardiac surgery and surgery for adults with congenital heart disease. Significant interest and capability in pre and post-operative care.
  • Demonstrable skills in surgical judgment, management and decision-making. 
  • Experience in cardiac transplant is desirable.

Surgery, Pediatric: Neurosurgical
Orlando, FL

The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is looking for an exceptional and dynamic, fellowship-trained pediatric neurosurgeon to join our program in Orlando, Florida. Ideal candidate would have several years of experience as well as specific interests in brain tumors and craniofacial surgery, which will be in collaboration with our new, dedicated pediatric neuro oncologist and a plastics craniofacial surgeon respectively.

Our program is led by our Chief of our newly reorganized division of pediatric neurosurgery, Dr. Jim Baumgartner. Our team includes support of three PA's who provide care on both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

The hospital has eight dedicated neurosurgical operating suites including a 3T intraoperative MRI and a 64 slice intraoperative CT. As part of AdventHealth for Children, we have a dedicated 8 bed epilepsy monitoring unit. Diagnostic facility includes a state-of-art 3T MRIs, PET, SPECT, MEG center, and Gamma Knife. We also have Monteris LITT and InSightec ExAblate focused ultrasound.

The physician would work in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team including pharmacology, psychology, pediatric neurology, pediatric radiology and pediatric epilepsy. The goal is to become a leading best practice model that is research based, data driven and led by experts. We are the longest continual member of COG in the Central Florida community.

Our surgical epilepsy program is the second busiest program in the nation and that we have been number one in volume in Florida for 10 straight years. One the medical side, our pediatric neurology and epilepsy team is also continuing to expand as we provide care for patients from around the country in our Level IV program.

AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is looking for a dynamic and energetic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon to serve the needs of greater Central Florida.  AHMG Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is seeking a partner to help serve the Central Florida Division.

The position calls for general plastic surgery including breast reconstruction with an opportunity to grow a cosmetic component to his/her practice.  The surgeon will join a group of four plastic surgeons well established in AdventHealth and the community.  A strategy for the new hire has been created around current growth ensuring a detailed plan for a new hire to hit the ground running on day one. 

A strong emphasis will be placed on evidence-based medicine with a concentration on patient centered care. The new physician should have the desire to join a busy practice and fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth.  The group stresses quality, community, communication, and a progressive approach to the field of Plastic Surgery.  The ideal candidate will be excited to join a group of individuals who stress the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and energetic thoracic surgeon to join our established and highly respected practice in our main campus located in Orlando.  New physician will be based at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs. The candidate will be an active member of our thoracic surgery service line across central Florida division. The candidate will also have an affiliation with Cancer Institute, participating in clinical trials, tumor board and educational activities.  Practice includes all aspects of thoracic surgery (not including lung transplant).  

Our highly trained and skilled surgeons care for patients with benign and malignant diseases of the lungs, chest wall, pleural space, and mediastinum. The practice offers a full spectrum of endoscopic procedures, including newly acquired Auris Monarch Robotic Assisted Bronchoscopy of the lungs and endoscopic procedures of the esophagus, as well as dilation and stenting procedures. Minimally invasive surgical approaches are used in the treatment of both benign and malignant chest pathology. The candidate will be committed to the expansion of our malignant foregut program within the scope of our multidisciplinary team.

Requirements:

  • Board Certified through the American Board of Thoracic Surgery (ABTS)
  • Ability to receive a valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Florida
  • At least five years of experience post fellowship training
