Location: Celebration, FL - Specialty: Pediatric, Neonatology

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for a dynamic, innovative and energetic neonatologist to cover in our Level 2 NICU at AdventHealth Celebration located in Celebration, Florida.  Our program at AdventHealth for Children has also been recognized as having the Best Newborn Care by US News and World Report.  The flexible schedule includes both restricted (in house) and unrestricted call (at home) consisting of approximately 14 shifts a month.  The Neonatologist will cover the 10 bed Level 2 NICU at AdventHealth Celebration.  There will also be a Pediatric Hospitalist on site managing the newborn service.   The Neonatologist will need to be available, on call, for high risk deliveries.  AdventHealth Celebration is averaging more than 3,000 deliveries a year. This program is built for two full time neonatologists and will also include a rotation at our 102 bed Level 3 NICU at AdventHealth for Women in Orlando, Florida.

The physicians will be part of a larger group of neonatologists that are part of AdventHealth for Children Orlando, formerly Florida Hospital for Children. Our regional network includes a delivery volume of approximately 15,000 births per year. We have a dedicated Neonatal transport team and are supported by experienced Pediatric Subspecialists.

AdventHealth Celebration is a 310 bed, state-of-the-art hospital that serves as a showcase of innovation and excellence in healthcare. AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic, innovative and energetic neonatologists as we expand our group at the Level 2 NICU at Holmes Regional Medical Center (HRMC) in Melbourne, Florida.  The flexible schedule includes both restricted (in house) and unrestricted call (at home) consisting of approximately 14 shifts a month.  The Neonatologist in collaboration with a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, will cover the 10 bed Level 2 NICU at HRMC along with the newborn service.  The Neonatologist will also be available, on call, for high risk deliveries.  This program is built for two neonatologists and two NNP’s.  In addition to the NICU and newborn service there is also an inpatient pediatric floor that is managed by the Pediatric Hospitalist team.

The physicians will be part of a larger group of neonatologists that are part of AdventHealth for Children Orlando, formerly Florida Hospital for Children. Our regional network includes a delivery volume of approximately 23,000 births per year. We have a dedicated Neonatal transport team and are supported by experienced Pediatric Subspecialists.

Location: Tavares, FL - Specialty: Physical Medicine and Rehab

AdventHealth Medical Group is searching for a board-certified (or board eligible) Physiatrist to lead our program in a brand new inpatient unit located at AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares, Florida – approximately 40 minutes from downtown Orlando.  This physician will be responsible for the multi-disciplinary care in our state-of-the-art facility along with APP support. Future growth will increase the total number of licensed inpatient rehab beds to 22.  Responsibilities will include inpatient clinical care, program development, quality metrics and improvement, and marketing, along with dedicated administrative time. Ideal candidate will also have comfort level with general internal medicine needs of patients.  This opportunity is open to new residents with the proper training and interest in an inpatient setting, and it will provide an opportunity for further professional development and growth through strong mentorship. 

The Medical Director will work with an experienced support team of therapists, skilled nurses and dietitians providing care to neurologic, cardiac, orthopedic and general rehab patients.  A full complement of medical and surgical specialists will also provide care for our patients on this unit. The new physician would also be responsible for acute care consults during the day in addition to working with care management, specialists, hospitalists and other acute care teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to achieve an active, unrestricted FL medical license
  • Board certification (or eligibility) in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
  • Experience in a leadership role and in developing new, multi-disciplinary teams is preferred

We are looking for PA’s and APRN’s to serve as members of our expanding critical care team. The APP assist in management of critically ill patients in our closed ICU.  The ideal candidate would apply specialized skills and knowledge related to ICU settings to contribute to excellence in patient care, research, teaching, consulting and provides leadership to the organization. 

General Summary: The APP under the supervision and direction of the Physician and within the credentialing standards of the Hospital: (other duties as assigned)

  • Obtain patient health histories and complete physical examinations and documents findings
  • Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests, explaining the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of procedure(s) to patients, patient's family, staff and healthcare learners.
  • Formulates and implements a treatment plan for acute illness management in collaboration with the designated primary supervising physician and/or attending back-up physician(s) and documents as necessary
  • Assesses patients for changes in status and institutes appropriate interventions, including initiation of necessary emergency interventions to stabilize patient.
  • Procedures performed but not limited to: inserts and manages arterial catheters, central venous catheters, pulmonary artery catheters, and other procedures commensurate with an ICU environment, CPR; airway management including bag and mask ventilation, endotracheal intubation and extubation, repositioning endotracheal tubes; and defibrillation

Schedule Information:

  • Shifts are 12-hour shifts on an as needed basis
  • Hours are either 7 AM – 7 PM (Day), or 7 PM to 7 AM (night)

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing (Acute Care Certified) or Physician Assistant (PA) Studies
  • 5 years of ICU RN experience OR 3 years as APRN in the ICU

Duties and Responsibilities: The APP would be expected to

complete the following under physician direction and within the credentialing standards of the Hospital: 

  • Assess patients for changes in condition and institutes appropriate interventions, including initiation of necessary emergency care.

We are seeking a Certified Physician Assistant, PA-C to join a growing program and practice. The role involves orthopedic management of patients ranging from newborn to early adulthood. This individual would work in outpatient and inpatient settings as well as assist in surgery.

General Summary:

The PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s), who acts as the collaborative practitioner(s), is responsible for:

• Performing histories and physical exams on pediatric orthopedic patients in both the office and hospital

• Ramp up independent patient management and fracture care with follow up visits

We are seeking a Certified Physician Assistant, PA-C to join a growing program and practice. The role involves direct care for infants, children, teenagers, and adults with congenital heart disease. The PA-C would work in outpatient and inpatient settings.  Also, he/she will assist in the OR during surgery. Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent

AdventHealth for Children is seeking a dynamic, energetic and experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to lead our team based at the Walt Disney Pavilion (website) in Orlando, Florida.  The new Medical Director would help establish our program in our Central Florida area and develop our team including a nurse practitioner, clinical psychologist, LMHC, RN and a care navigator.   Majority of time will be in a clinical capacity, but physician will have some dedicated time for administrative responsibilities including working with community partners.  New physician will work to develop pathways for our patients to be seen quickly from our inpatient floors and/or the emergency department.  This is an outpatient opportunity with a dedicated space just north of our Children’s Hospital campus near downtown Orlando.  

We have a robust Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics program, neuropsychology, a pediatric residency program, and a full team of over 200 subspecialists at AdventHealth for Children.  We have a network of 30 hospitals in the state with an extensive outreach system as well.  This includes multiple outpatient locations with a multidisciplinary presence.   We deliver approximately 23,000 babies per year throughout our system. 

Requirements of the position

  • Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • At least 5 years’ experience post fellowship
  • Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
  • Board Certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
