Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C), working in collaboration with the Radiation Oncology physician team, will play a key role in delivering comprehensive cancer care across both inpatient and outpatient settings. This provider will partner closely with Radiation Oncology, Surgical Oncology, and multidisciplinary care teams to support patients throughout their cancer journey, from diagnosis through survivorship.

General Summary:

The APRN or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s) who acts as the collaborative practitioner(s), is responsible for:

  • Provide comprehensive care for radiation oncology patients across inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Partner with Radiation Oncology, Surgical Oncology, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated cancer care.
  • Support patient survivorship through follow-up care and long-term treatment planning.
  • Participate in collaborative treatment discussions and individualized care planning.
  • Care for patients with a wide range of oncology diagnoses, including brain, head & neck, skin, thoracic, breast, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, gynecologic, and lymphatic cancers.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Passion for delivering compassionate, patient-centered oncology care.
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to thrive in a collaborative specialty practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to navigate complex patient situations while maintaining a high level of professionalism and empathy.
  • Radiation Oncology experience preferred; candidates with oncology, surgical oncology, hematology/oncology, or other relevant specialty experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Must successfully complete a third-party background check and pre-employment drug screening.

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • Campus: AH Kissimmee

Required Education/Experience:

  • Master’s degree in APRN or Physician Assistant studies
  • 1+ years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
  • Bi-lingual- Spanish preferred not required

Licensure, Certification, and Registration:

  • Current, valid Florida ARNP or PA license
  • ANCC, AANP (or equivalent) or NCCPA certification is required
  • BLS and ACLS required
  • ONS Certification preferred
