AdventHealth Orlando is looking for a dynamic and energetic physician with leadership experience to join and lead our Medical and Cardiac ICU Teams at AdventHealth Orlando, 1400 bed hospital.

  • This position would also include academic responsibilities that would align with our Internal Medicine Residency and Critical Care Fellowship program.
  • AdventHealth Orlando is our quaternary center with the highest acuity, transplant and sub specialty dedicated ICUs.
  • Total ICU beds across the different units is approximately 170.
  • The practice consists of 100 plus employed (physicians/APPs) intensive care team that reaches approximately 10 other AdventHealth campuses across Central Florida.
  • The system will care for more than 18,000 critically ill patients per year.
  • The physician will work with our experienced and established intensivists and multidisciplinary team to provide high quality care to patients within the ICU.

Responsibilities would include the following: Leading the clinical quality for the Medical and Cardiac ICU care, including quality metrics and quality assurance teams; active participation in regional, national, and international meetings and conferences; education of APP’S, medical critical care fellows and new staff; community outreach; and program development.

The Medical Director’s primary location will be located at AdventHealth Orlando, Florida just outside downtown Orlando close to the charming Winter Park community. AdventHealth has a hospital based organ procurement organization (Our Legacy is a top performing OPO in the USA).

Medical Director Requirements:

  • Board Certification in Critical Care (ABIM)
  • Experience in teaching and as a ICU physician leader
  • Comprehensive clinical experience in a large volume program
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with both private practice and employed models

AdventHealth is continuing to grow its comprehensive and successful 24/7 ICU model and are seeking a dynamic critical care fellowship trained physician to be part of our expanding team. We have an amazing leadership opportunity at one of our established and growing campuses, AdventHealth Heart of Florida.  This is an ideal position for someone looking to lead and continue to develop a program within a thriving hospital system.  Will be responsible for establishing protocols in line with evidence-based medicine, standardized care models, staffing, scheduling, education/training will full clinical responsibilities in the unit.  AH Heart of Florida is well known to the community, with an established reputation while continuing to enhance and expand its medical and surgical services.  It is also an area that has been recognized as one the fastest growing counties in the state of Florida.

This employment opportunity is for critical care fellowship trained physicians with an interest in a hospital only setting covering Medical ICU and Surgical ICU. Ideal candidates will have at least two years’ experience in Critical Care Medicine.  14 shifts per month will provide full time benefits. This doctor would serve as one of the key faculty members in an academic role within the Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Program. He or she would focus on outpatient medicine while teaching our residents and medical students. The physician's duties will include his or her own personal family medicine clinic, precepting residents and medical students, giving didactic lectures, constructing curriculum and evaluating residents and medical students. There is an opportunity to incorporate OMM into both clinical care and teaching.

The ideal candidate would have experience in academic medicine, demonstrate leadership capabilities, strong communication skills, and fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth, formerly Florida Hospital. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not necessary.

This well-established ACGME Accredited Family Medicine Residency with Osteopathic Recognition is based at AdventHealth East Orlando, a 293 bed facility that is part of one of the largest healthcare systems in the country. The Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency at AdventHealth East Orlando, which has been training residents for over 30 years, is among the most progressive training programs in the osteopathic profession. The foundation for our family medicine residency is derived from the dedication of our faculty, continuity family medicine and pediatric clinics, didactic programs and innovative technology. We teach twenty four residents each academic year, ONMM3 residents, and osteopathic medical students. We are a core site for third year students from the Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University.

AdventHealth Winter Park Family Medicine Residency program is looking for a dynamic, hardworking, and broadly skilled Family Physician faculty member. Established in 1975 with over 550 graduates, the ACGME program is based at AdventHealth Winter Park Hospital, a 325-bed acute care facility. We are a 12-12-12 residency and have both geriatrics and women’s health fellowships. The five-year ABFM pass rate is 100%. Faculty present at AAFP FMX, Florida AFP, and AAFP National Courses. There is excellent family medicine support through the system. Opportunities for faculty development abound with the support of a seasoned Program Director.

Winter Park is a gorgeous city with parks, lakes, and year-round outdoor activities. The beaches and local springs (Wekiva and Blue Springs) are one hour away.
