AdventHealth Medical Group Gastroenterology is seeking a dynamic and energetic, board certified Gastroenterologist to join their busy practice in beautiful Orlando, Florida.  Ideal candidate should practice all aspects of Gastroenterology and be able to handle a high-volume case load.  ERCP training is preferred, but not required. Daily work schedule will include inpatient rounding/procedures with support from the medical team at AdventHealth Orlando. Candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a desire to build and foster collegial relationships with community-based physicians.  Active Florida license is a plus.

AdventHealth is seeking an IBD physician to join our growing team in beautiful Orlando, Florida.  The IBD physician will be joining an established group of six gastroenterologists with APP support, along with a second IBD focused physician.  This is a relatively new program in coordination with our Digestive Health and Surgery Institute.  This is mostly a clinically focused role, but it does include dedicated administrative/research hours.   Practice is staffed with medical assistants, scribes and program support staff of a social worker and RN Navigators. 

Requirements:

  • Board certification in Gastroenterology though ABMS or AOA
  • Fellowship training in Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Candidate can expect:

  • 90% clinical facing time
  • 10% Administrative time

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Gastroenterology and Hepatology

AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is looking for a gastroenterologist to serve the needs of the Central Florida community. This position would ideally suit a board-eligble or board-certified gastroenterologist with a special interest or formal training in hepatology, seeking to further specialize in fatty liver disease, while also supporting our general gastroenterology practice. The AdventHealth Fatty Liver Disease Program is unique to Central Florida and focuses on a multidisciplinary approach to provide the best care for our patients.

Responsibilities include seeing patients in clinic, performing endoscopy, and participating in the call schedule. In addition to clinical duties, there is an opportunity to teach residents and fellows and to participate in academic and research projects.

AHMG Gastroenterology is one of the largest gastroenterology groups in the nation, with 80+ employed gastroenterologists and advanced practice providers in Central Florida alone. This opportunity would be based at AdventHealth Orlando, a large 1,368 bed tertiary facility located just north of downtown Orlando. Because of the size of our facility and the level of clinical complexity, there is great opportunity to closely collaborate with other specialties including surgery, oncology, transplant, (interventional) endoscopy, endobariatrics, endocrinology, (interventional) radiology, pathology, primary care, psychiatry, nutrition and research.

Advanced Practice Provider AHMG General Opportunity.

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Geneticist

We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic medical geneticist to join our team at AdventHealth Medical Genetics & Genomics program in Orlando, Florida.  The physician would join our two other physicians and genetic counselors and continue to grow our dynamic program.  The new physician would collaborate within our multidisciplinary teams of experienced clinicians in pediatric and adult cardiology, pediatric and adult gastroenterology, pediatric and adult hematology/oncology, MFM, pediatric and adult neurology and transplantation surgery. We aspire to provide comprehensive state of the art genetic and genomic services to all patients within the AdventHealth system (locally, regionally and nationally).

The new physician would have the ability to work in both an outpatient and inpatient setting along with fulfilling personal research and teaching interests.

Requirements:

  • Board certification in Clinical Genetics through the American Board of Medical Genetics & Genomics
  • Board eligibility will be considered, but will need board certification within two years of employment
  • Prior experience is a plus but not required
  • Comfort level working with APP’s and Genetics Counselors
  • Comfort level with working with pediatric, adult and geriatric populations

Location: New Smyrna Beach, FL - Specialty: Hematology / Oncology

We have an exciting opportunity to help expand AdventHealth’s Hematology Oncology presence throughout Volusia County and in New Smyrna Beach on Florida’s beautiful East Coast. The practice is looking for two team-oriented fellowship trained hematologist oncologists to join us. This opportunity would provide inpatient coverage at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach and will have a dedicated outpatient clinic attached to the hospital along with infusion and radiation oncology also on site. The team will manage a variety of hematology and oncology patients. The physicians would have the opportunity to participate in research, clinical trials and established multi-disciplinary tumor boards. Rotation of call would be shared with the other physicians and advanced practice provider in the practice. There is also an exciting opportunity for a leadership position within this practice.

  • Focus primarily within the inpatient setting at AdventHealth Orlando, providing a daily consultative service and coverage within our 36 bed hematology/oncology floor 
  • Will manage a variety of hem malignancies and solid tumors 
  • Rotation of call would be shared with the other physicians in the practice, including weekends
