AdventHealth Medical Group OB GYN at Waterman, is seeking a dynamic and energetic Obstetrician/Gynecologist to join their busy practice based at AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares, FL. This highly successful practice draws patients from the Tavares, Mount Dora and Eustis areas and care is provided in a newly renovated unit specially designed for women & children’s services.

The practice is split with a fairly equal mix of OB and GYN patients. This office is well equipped with spacious exam rooms and is staffed for in-office procedures, and current support staff includes MA's and seasoned front office personnel. All deliveries and surgeries are performed at AdventHealth Waterman. The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Desire to join a highly collegial team of experienced physicians in an employed model through AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG)
  • Experienced with laparoscopic surgery
  • Comfort with engaging members of the community to help expand market share
  • Rotating Call for the labor unit and gynecology with other members of the team

Obstetrics and Gynecology
Altamonte Springs, FL

Location: Altamonte Springs, FL - Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology

AdventHealth Medical Group OB GYN at Altamonte Springs is seeking a dynamic and energetic OB GYN to join their busy practice. This practice serves the needs of the North Orlando community and is located in the heart of Seminole County.  Utilizing mid wives and specializing in personalized service to patients is part of the practice’s culture.  Located onsite at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, this practice performs a high volume of deliveries and surgeries.  Physician should be proficient in performing minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery.  Robotic subspecialty interest could be incorporated depending on the physician’s background and training.  Three years’ experience in an outpatient setting preferred, but not necessary.

Physician will perform deliveries in newly renovated maternity suites replete with 4D ultrasound. "The Baby Place" at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs offers a host of concierge amenities including a customized birthing plan for each mother to be. Our Birth Center is the only maternity unit to offer a birthing center within a hospital, which allows women the opportunity to customize their birth experience, giving them more power and involvement in the birthing process.

AdventHealth is seeking experienced Obstetrician/Gynecologists to support our OBGYN Hospitalist program in Orlando. Candidates will join our team of physicians and midwives supporting our Central Florida Division; Orlando, Celebration, Altamonte, Winter Park, Melbourne, Deltona, and Daytona.  Responsibilities of the OBGYN Hospitalist include primary responsibilities as a GYN surgeon, facilitating GYN consults, managing GYN clinic (supervised by team PA), act as surgical assist to staff Ob/Gyn physicians upon request; backup support managing and covering the OB Emergency Department; and provide appropriate oversight and clinical teaching of medical students, family medicine residents and other learners.  A motivation to increase patient safety and elevate patient satisfaction, along with dynamic communication skills and the ability to fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth, are required.     

We are seeking physicians with the following qualifications:

  • Current medical license (M.D. or D.O.)
  • Board certification or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Certification in adult and neonatal resuscitation
  • 5 year minimum of Labor and Delivery experience

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for dynamic ENTs with an interest in both an inpatient and outpatient mix and work/life balance to be part of our team at AdventHealth Orlando.  This employment opportunity is for board certified Otolaryngologists with an interest in being part of a newer program and helping to build and grow a practice.  The new physicians would provide continuity of care on the inpatient setting with APP support and the outpatient clinic with dedicated time in the OR.  A set schedule with 7 days on and 7 days off with APP support and call coverage make this an ideal opportunity for more balance.  Collaboration with our well known and established head and neck oncology surgery team also makes this an exciting position.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Guide inpatient consultation services of the interdisciplinary team of advanced practitioners, chaplain, pharmacist, and social workers.
  • Clinical care expectations include:
    • Creating goals of care for patients
    • Manage family meetings
    • Manage complex symptom management in the inpatient setting.
  • Educate facility staff, co-workers and the community on all aspects of palliative care and services

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a dynamic Palliative Medicine physician to join our team within the system. Our leadership has committed to ensure an interdisciplinary approach to providing care thus expanding the teams at our campuses. The inpatient division is composed of seven physicians, twelve APPs, six LCSWs and 2 chaplains over seven hospitals. The department has two fellowships, a one year ACGME physician fellowship with two positions and a one year APP fellowship with two positions. The current open position is for a physician leader at the Adventhealth East Orlando campus. The provider will join a full time ARNP and LCSW to provide inpatient consultations. Clinical care expectations include goals of care, family meetings and complex symptom management in the inpatient setting. The program strives to foster a growth mindset and appreciates its wide diversity of providers backgrounds including psychiatry, family medicine, critical care and internal medicine. Spanish speaking is highly preferred.

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic pediatric hospitalists with a focus and interest in newborn nursery care to join our team at the new AdventHealth Heart of Florida, located in Davenport, Florida (south of Orlando). The new physician would work with another physician to provide 24-7 coverage. Schedule would include both restricted and unrestricted call (call from home). Responsibilities would include delivery attendance, stabilization and resuscitation, daily rounds and circumcisions.

The physicians based at Heart of Florida would have the support and experience of over 150 pediatric subspecialists based at AdventHealth for Children. We have a dedicated neonatology transport team with over 100 Level 3 NICU beds at our main location, just north of downtown Orlando.

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic Pediatric Hospitalists to join our team at AdventHealth Daytona Beach in association with AdventHealth for Children/Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando.

The pediatric hospitalist would be expected to perform pediatric admissions to the dedicated Pediatric Floor, ED pediatric consults, participate in daily family centered rounding, as well as cover the Level 1 Newborn Nursery. The schedule would consist of approximately 15 12hr shifts per month.

Our program at AdventHealth for Children has also been recognized as having the Best Newborn Care by US News and World Report. The flexible schedule includes both restricted (in house) and unrestricted call (at home) consisting of approximately 7 shifts a month. The Neonatologist will cover at our Level 2 NICUs within Central Florida. There will also be plans to hire in a team of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to cover the NICU at night. Additionally, we have a Pediatric Hospitalist on site managing the newborn service. The Neonatologist will need to be available, on call, for high risk deliveries.

The physicians will be part of a larger group of neonatologists that are part of AdventHealth for Children Orlando, formerly Florida Hospital for Children. AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for a dynamic, innovative and energetic neonatologist to cover in our Level 2 NICU at AdventHealth Celebration located in Celebration, Florida.  Our program at AdventHealth for Children has also been recognized as having the Best Newborn Care by US News and World Report.  The flexible schedule includes both restricted (in house) and unrestricted call (at home) consisting of approximately 15 shifts a month.  The Neonatologist will cover the 10 bed Level 2 NICU at AdventHealth Celebration. There will also be plans to hire in a team of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to cover the NICU at night.  There will also be a Pediatric Hospitalist on site managing the newborn service.  The Neonatologist will need to be available, on call, for high risk deliveries.  AdventHealth Celebration is averaging more than 3,000 deliveries a year. This program is built for two full time neonatologists and will also include a rotation at our 102 bed Level 3 NICU at AdventHealth for Women in Orlando, Florida.

The physicians will be part of a larger group of neonatologists that are part of AdventHealth for Children Orlando, formerly Florida Hospital for Children. Our regional network includes a delivery volume of approximately 15,000 births per year. We have a dedicated Neonatal transport team and are supported by experienced Pediatric Subspecialists.

This position would also have the support of our Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children in Orlando is a full service, tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, including a 22 bed PICU, 10 bed Cardiac ICU, a 102 bed NICU, 17 bed pediatric emergency department and statewide pediatric network and transport system.  We started our comprehensive pediatric open-heart program in 2012 and have a strong track record of positive outcomes.  We also have several key destination programs including our level IV Epilepsy program, and we increased Orlando area NICU beds to 150 total in 2017.  Our unparalleled network consists of 30 hospitals across the state with one children’s hospital at the center and several extremely successful pediatric subspecialty programs including outreach clinics.  Our newest program has brought pediatric liver transplant services to Central Florida.  In 2019, 2020, and 2021 AdventHealth for Children is recognized by US News and World Report as the best Children’s Hospital for newborn care in Florida.  We are also recognized by The Leapfrog Group as a top Children’s Hospital for quality and safety, and we are a magnet designated hospital for nursing care.
