AdventHealth is seeking experienced part-time or per diem Obstetrician/Gynecologists to support our OBGYN Hospitalist programs in Orlando, Winter Park, Celebration, Altamonte Springs, Melbourne, Deltona, and Daytona.  Candidates will join our team of physicians and midwives supporting campuses in central Florida.  Responsibilities of the OBGYN Hospitalist include provision of in-house obstetric coverage for unassigned and emergent obstetric patients; act as surgical assist to staff Ob/Gyn physicians upon request; manage and cover the OB Triage unit; accept and manage maternal transfers; and provide appropriate oversight and clinical teaching of medical students, family medicine residents and other learners.  A motivation to increase patient safety and elevate patient satisfaction, along with dynamic communication skills and the ability to fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth, are required.

We are seeking physicians with the following qualifications:

  • Current medical license (M.D. or D.O.)
  • Board certification or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Location: Tavares, FL - Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology

AdventHealth Medical Group OB GYN at Waterman, is seeking a dynamic and energetic Obstetrician/Gynecologist to join their busy practice based at AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares, FL. This highly successful practice draws patients from the Tavares, Mount Dora and Eustis areas and care is provided in a newly renovated unit specially designed for women & children’s services.

The practice is split with a fairly equal mix of OB and GYN patients. This office is well equipped with spacious exam rooms and is staffed for in-office procedures, and current support staff includes MA's and seasoned front office personnel. All deliveries and surgeries are performed at AdventHealth Waterman. The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Desire to join a highly collegial team of experienced physicians in an employed model through AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG)
  • Experienced with laparoscopic surgery
  • Comfort with engaging members of the community to help expand market share
  • Rotating Call for the labor unit and gynecology with other members of the team
  • Board Certification (or Board Eligibility if less than 5 years out of training)

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Palliative Medicine

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a dynamic Palliative Medicine physician to join our team within the system. Our leadership has committed to ensure an interdisciplinary approach to providing care thus expanding the teams at our campuses. The inpatient division is composed of seven physicians, twelve APPs, six LCSWs and 2 chaplains over seven hospitals. The department has two fellowships, a one year ACGME physician fellowship with two positions and a one year APP fellowship with two positions. The current open position is for a physician leader at the Adventhealth East Orlando campus. The provider will join a full time ARNP and LCSW to provide inpatient consultations. Clinical care expectations include goals of care, family meetings and complex symptom management in the inpatient setting. The program strives to foster a growth mindset and appreciates its wide diversity of providers backgrounds including psychiatry, family medicine, critical care and internal medicine. Spanish speaking is highly preferred.

Requirements of the position include:

  • Successful candidates will have strong clinical skills and desire to grow with the program
  • Board Certification/Eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine along with active board certification through one of the co-sponsoring boards.

The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children (AHFC) is looking for a dynamic and team-oriented Pediatric Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join our group of eight physicians. In this position the physician will be practicing the full spectrum of cardiac electrophysiology within the clinic and laboratory settings. Inpatient consults within AdventHealth for Children, Women's and AdventHealth Orlando (all three hospitals are connected) will also be expected. There will be dedicated clinic time at the Orlando office and other outreach sites built into the schedule as well.

The pediatric cardiology division is part of a full-service program including eight cardiologists (with plans to continue to grow), world class cardiothoracic surgeons, a robust intensive care group, top cardiac anesthesia and surgical results rivaling any program in the country. Our state-of-the-art hybrid EP/catherization laboratory sees approximately 200 diagnostic/interventional procedures and 150 electrophysiology procedures annually. The group has seven outpatient locations in six counties covering a population of 2.75 million people.

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) are looking for a dynamic and energetic Pediatric Cardiologist to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa in association with AdventHealth for Children/Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando.   

This position is a result of programmatic and companywide growth throughout AdventHealth as we begin this exciting adventure of establishing high quality pediatric services to Tampa, Florida.  The ideal candidate would have experience in fetal echocardiography and building a new pediatric cardiology practice.  A primary outpatient clinic will be conveniently located nearby the main hospital campus of AdventHealth Tampa where inpatient consults would be performed.  The practice would be affiliated to AHMG Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiology, a seven-physician practice, based out of Orlando, Florida.

AdventHealth Tampa has partnered with AdventHealth for Children with a vision to create and deliver high quality pediatric care elevating the local market and keeping kids close to home with a seamless connection to quaternary services.  We provide full coverage of pediatric hospitalists, intensivists, and neonatologists at AdventHealth Tampa with complete access to local pediatric subspecialists.  This close collaboration also provides the ability for full quaternary services as needed through our expansive network of AdventHealth for Children.

The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is looking for a Pediatric Endocrinologist to join our outstanding program in Orlando, Florida. 

Responsibilities of the new physician will include:  high volume outpatient clinics with a wide variety of patients from age 0 – 18, outreach clinics (currently providing care in three locations) and inpatient coverage in equal rotation with other group members. It is also possible to develop a subspecialty niche depending on physician’s interest, and an interest in disorders of sexual development is desirable but not essential.  The Pediatric Endocrinology program has a dedicated area for hormone testing and we offer the full spectrum of dynamic hormonal testing and infusions. We have a large diabetes program with staffing for three nurse CDEs and two dietitian CDEs.  We also have a social worker.

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic pediatric hospitalists to join our team. This is for a full-time pediatric hospitalist position that would be located at AdventHealth Ocala. AdventHealth Ocala has a 10 bed Pediatric Unit and Pediatric Emergency Department. Physicians would need to be comfortable with the care of general pediatric patients and well newborn care. Proficiency with procedures such as circumcisions would be a plus. The newborn service is supported by a level 2 NICU, staffed by experienced neonatologists, who will also be available on call for high-risk deliveries. Coverage would include in house as well as unrestricted call from home.

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic pediatric hospitalists with a focus and interest for inpatient pediatric care to join our team at the Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando. The new physician would work in rotation with the other pediatric hospitalists in the group providing in house coverage within our medical/surgical pediatric units. The pediatric hospitalist would be expected to perform pediatric admissions to the dedicated Pediatric Floor, ED pediatric consults, participate in daily family centered rounding. This team also has a large group of Advanced Practice Providers collaborating with the team of physicians on their respective pediatric units.

The Pediatric Hospitalist Program is partnered with Graduate Medical Education, thus providing the opportunity to work with residents.

The Pediatric Hospitalist practice with AdventHealth Medical Group currently has dedicated teams of physicians that cover approximately 9 campuses across Central Florida. We are now looking for dynamic, flexible and energetic pediatric hospitalists to join our PRN/Per Diem Team. Opportunities to convert to full time may be a possibility in the future. Depending on willingness and ability to travel, the schedule could include both restricted (in house) and unrestricted call (on call within the hospital’s required response time for emergencies). Responsibilities may include but not limited to - delivery attendance, stabilization and resuscitation, daily rounds and circumcisions.
