Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Surgery, Thoracic

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and energetic thoracic surgeon to join our established and highly respected practice at our main campus located in Orlando. The candidate will be an active member of our thoracic surgery service line across central Florida division. The candidate will also have an affiliation with Cancer Institute, participating in clinical trials, tumor board and educational activities.  Practice includes all aspects of thoracic surgery (not including lung transplant).  

Our highly trained and skilled surgeons care for patients with benign and malignant diseases of the lungs, chest wall, pleural space, and mediastinum. The practice offers a full spectrum of endoscopic procedures, including newly acquired Auris Monarch Robotic Assisted Bronchoscopy of the lungs and endoscopic procedures of the esophagus, as well as dilation and stenting procedures. Minimally invasive surgical approaches are used in the treatment of both benign and malignant chest pathology. The candidate will be committed to the expansion of our malignant foregut program within the scope of our multidisciplinary team.

Requirements:

  • Board Certified / Eligible through the American Board of Thoracic Surgery (ABTS)
  • Ability to receive a valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Florida

AdventHealth Orlando, Florida is looking for a dynamic and energetic thoracic transplant surgeon to join our busy transplant program.  The surgeon will work with our currently experienced and established cardiology transplant medical/care team to help continue to grow a high quality and highly sustainable heart transplant program.  We have a full comprehensive Transplant Institute that includes both thoracic and abdominal transplant teams.  Our team performs over 50 hearts, 20 lungs, and 30-50 VAD’s per year with multi organ transplant capability.   

The AdventHealth Transplant Institute is located at AdventHealth Orlando, Florida just outside downtown Orlando close to the charming Winter Park community.  In 2020, AdventHealth Orlando opened a state of-the-art 32 bed ECMO unit dedicated to the cardio thoracic transplant service.  AdventHealth has a hospital-based organ procurement organization (OurLegacy is a top performing OPO in the United States). 

Transplant Surgeon Requirements:

  • Board certification by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery 
  • Thoracic transplant fellowship training
  • Interest in large volume program with advanced cardiac surgery, heart transplant, acute shock, heart failure and mechanical circulatory support

The surgeon will work with our currently experienced and established pulmonology and surgery team to lead our high quality and growing lung transplant program.  We have a full comprehensive Transplant Institute that includes both thoracic and abdominal transplant teams.  Our team performs over 50 hearts, 20 lungs, and 30-50 VAD’s per year with multi organ transplant capability, including combined heart and lung transplant.   

The AdventHealth Transplant Institute is located at AdventHealth Orlando, Florida just outside downtown Orlando close to the charming Winter Park community.  AdventHealth Orlando campus opened (in September 2020) a state of-the-art 32 bed critical care and ECMO unit dedicated to the cardio thoracic transplant service.  AdventHealth has a hospital-based organ procurement organization (Our Legacy is a top performing OPO in the United States). 

Transplant Surgeon Requirements:
•    Board certification by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery 
•    Thoracic transplant fellowship training
•    Comprehensive clinical experience in large volume program with advanced cardiac surgery, heart and lung procurement, acute shock, heart failure and mechanical circulatory support
•    Candidates can be a general thoracic surgeon with experience in lung transplant, adult cardiac, or established expertise with lung transplant and shock.
•    Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with private practice and employed models.

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic urologist with an interest in a defined schedule and inpatient work to be part of our team at AdventHealth Orlando.  This employment opportunity is for urologists with a primary interest in a hospital setting, some procedures and rounding. Physician would have responsibility to cover inpatient urology consults from the floors and the emergency department.  The surgeon would also have responsibility for some bedside procedures including cystoscopies.  This opportunity works in collaboration and partnership with our traditional, clinic based urologists. 

Part of a subsection of AdventHealth Medical Group Urology, this opportunity includes APP support.  A balanced monthly schedule would include 15 day shifts.  A competitive base salary, strong benefits package, and a collegial cross-coverage team are just some of the attractive aspects of this opportunity.

Physician would have responsibility at both campuses to cover inpatient urology consults from the floors and the emergency department.  The surgeon would also have responsibility for some bedside procedures including cystoscopies.  This opportunity works in collaboration and partnership with our traditional, clinic based urologists.

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for dynamic and hard-working urologists to join our team in Central Florida.  The new physicians would join our outstanding urologists and help to grow our outpatient presence in new markets in the area.  Responsibilities also include inpatient call coverage at the primary AdventHealth hospital location in rotation with practice partners.  A shared call model with other urologists in town make weekend call less frequent.  Robotic surgery is also available within our system.

Requirements for the position:  Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Urology.  High caliber, quality focused, innovative physicians should apply.  Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and hard-working general urologist to join our team in Central Florida.  The new physician would join three current urologists as part of our Altamonte Springs practice location and help to grow our outpatient presence in the Seminole County market based in the Lake Mary area.  Responsibilities will include inpatient call coverage at the AdventHealth Altamonte Springs location in rotation with partners as well as building a vibrant outpatient practice in Lake Mary.  A shared call model with other urologists and APP’s make weekend call less frequent.  Robotic surgery is also available within our system.  We also have potential ASC investment opportunities. 

Requirements for the position:  Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Urology.  High caliber, quality focused, innovative physicians should apply.  Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.  At least three years of experience is preferred.

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and hard-working urologist to join our team in Central Florida.  The new physician would join two current urologists and help to grow our outpatient presence in the West Orange market based between Winter Garden and Clermont areas.  Responsibilities will include inpatient call coverage at AdventHealth Apopka hospital location in rotation with practice partners, as well as outpatient clinic at Apopka and a new health park in Clermont.  A shared call model with other urologists and APP’s make weekend call less frequent.  Robotic surgery is also available within our system.

Requirements for the position:  Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Urology.  High caliber, quality focused, innovative physicians should apply.  Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Location: Celebration, FL - Specialty: Surgery, Urology

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and hard-working general urologist to join our team in Central Florida.  The new physician would join our Celebration practice location and help to grow our outpatient presence in the Osceola County market with two experienced urologists.  Responsibilities will include inpatient call coverage at the AdventHealth Celebration location in rotation with partners as well as building a vibrant outpatient practice.  A shared call model with other urologists and APP’s make weekend call less frequent.  Robotic surgery is also available within our system.  

Requirements for the position:  Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Urology.  High caliber, quality focused, innovative physicians should apply.  Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and hard-working general urologist to join our team in Central Florida. The new physician would join two current urologists as part of our East Orlando practice location and help to grow our outpatient presence in the East Orange County market. Ideal physician would be robotically trained and responsibilities will include inpatient call coverage at AdventHealth East Orlando in rotation with partners as well as building a vibrant outpatient practice. A shared call model with other urologists and APPs make weekend call less frequent.

Requirements for the position: Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Urology. Robotic surgery training. High caliber, quality focused, innovative physicians should apply. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, bilingual in Spanish a plus.
