Cardiovascular Associates of Lake County, a private Cardiology practice with offices in Tavares, FL and Leesburg, FL, is growing and looking for an energetic General Cardiologist to join the team. With over 25 years’ experience in treating the Lake County community, Cardiovascular Associates of Lake County is focused on providing complete cardiac care to nearly 3,000 patients per year.  The new physician will be joining a practice of 7 physicians, 2 advanced practice providers, along with all other clinical and office staff.  At our main office in Tavares there is also an outpatient angio suite, PET Scanner, and is fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to provide the quality cardiac care our patients deserve.

Qualified candidates will be/have:

  • Board Certified in Cardiovascular Medicine
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine
  • Board Certification in Echocardiography and Nuclear Medicine is a plus
  • Comfortable overseeing and providing clinical supervision to APRN and/or PA-C

In collaboration with AdventHealth Waterman, this opportunity will be supported by a Recruitment Assistance Agreement. Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Cardiology, Heart Failure / Heart Transplant

The AdventHealth Transplant Institute is seeking a dynamic, fellowship-trained advanced heart failure transplant cardiologist to join the thoracic transplant team.   The cardiologist would work in an exciting and thriving transplant program with the full AdventHealth healthcare system support (50 hospitals in nine states including 30 in Florida).  The physician would have the benefit of cross coverage for advanced heart failure/ transplant call and work with a comprehensive team including surgeons, cardiologists, coordinators, dieticians, pharmacists, therapists and social workers.  The Transplant Institute also offers a vibrant and growing Mechanical Circulatory Support Device program as well and a fully developed ECMO program.   Our team performs over 60 hearts, 20 lungs, and 30-50 mechanical circulatory support devices per year with multi organ transplant capability. 

The AdventHealth Transplant Institute is located just outside downtown Orlando close to the charming Winter Park community.  In September 2020, AdventHealth Orlando opened a state-of-the-art 32 bed critical care unit dedicated to the cardio thoracic transplant service.  AdventHealth has a hospital-based organ procurement organization (Our Legacy which is a top performing OPO in the United States).         

Requirements of the position include: 

  • Fellowship training in Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant
  • BE/BC is required in Cardiovascular Disease with BE/BC in Advanced Heart Failure

Location: Apopka, FL - Specialty: Cardiology, Non-Invasive

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and energetic non-invasive, general cardiologist to join our growing practice located in Apopka, Florida.  The position would have time both at AdventHealth Apopka and Winter Garden location.  Cardiologist must be proficient in all forms of non-invasive cardiology. 

Responsibilities will include both inpatient and outpatient care, in addition to some group call coverage at times.  AHMG Cardiology at Apopka is a growing and established practice consisting of six cardiologists – interventional, structural, electrophysiology and general cardiology.

This position will provide some inpatient coverage at AdventHealth, recognized as the #1 Hospital in Central Florida, by US News and World Report.  See our website for cardiac treatments and services offered at AdventHealth Apopka which will also include STEMI and PCI in the near future.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Hospital-Based Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)/ Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) functions in the specialty area of obstetric medicine in an expanded role to manage a caseload of patients with consultation, collaboration and general supervision from a physician in a hospital-based role.  This care is provided within the APRN's specialty area and setting, and scope of practice. Utilizing the extensive knowledge of pathophysiology, pharmacology and physiology acquired, exercises independent judgment in the assessment, diagnosis and initiation of certain delegated medical processes and procedures.  

General Summary:

  • Evaluates pregnant and postpartum women in triage.
  • Performs the nursing duties related to midwifery including labor and delivery care, care after birth, and newborn care.
  • Educates women about different types of care available and encourages them to enhance their pregnancy by being involved.  
  • Orders, interprets and incorporates diagnostic tests, studies and lab values into the plan of care; evaluates effectiveness.
  • Formulates appropriate diagnosis based on history, physical examination and clinical findings.
  • Plans and provides care within the framework of policies, unit guidelines and privileges.
  • Serves as OB/GYN team member working closely with physicians and other staff to ensure healthy pregnancies and deliveries.
  • Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies according to privileges.

AdventHealth Medical Group Critical Care at Central Florida is looking for a dynamic physician to be a part of our expanding critical care team.  This position would be focused as part of a multi-disciplinary team, in our Cardiovascular ICU at our AdventHealth Orlando campus.  Physicians will have responsibility to cover in the new, state of the art, 32 bed CVICU with our team of intensivists and advanced practice providers. The patient mix includes heart and lung transplants, mechanical assist devices, VV/VA ECMO and general cardiac and thoracic surgery.

AdventHealth Graduate Medical Education in Orlando, Florida is looking for a dynamic, hardworking, and broadly skilled Family Medicine physician with a passion for teaching. This doctor would serve as one of the key faculty members in an academic role within the Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Program. He or she would focus on outpatient medicine while teaching our residents and medical students. The physician's duties will include his or her own personal family medicine clinic, precepting residents and medical students, giving didactic lectures, constructing curricula and evaluating residents and medical students. There is an opportunity to incorporate OMM into both clinical care and teaching. There is also an opportunity to become the Associate Program Director and/or the Osteopathic Recognition Director.

The ideal candidate would have experience in academic medicine, demonstrate leadership capabilities, strong communication skills, and fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth, formerly Florida Hospital. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not necessary.

This well-established ACGME Accredited Family Medicine Residency with Osteopathic Recognition is based at AdventHealth East Orlando, a 293 bed facility that is part of one of the largest healthcare systems in the country. The Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency at AdventHealth East Orlando, which has been training residents for over 30 years, is among the most progressive training programs in the osteopathic profession. The foundation for our family medicine residency is derived from the dedication of our faculty, continuity family medicine and pediatric clinics, didactic programs and innovative technology. We teach twenty four residents each academic year, ONMM3 residents, and osteopathic medical students. We are a core site for third year students from the Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University.

Board Certification in Family Medicine (AOBFP or ABFM) and in NMM (AOBNMM) is required.

  • Active FL medical license (or ability to secure active, unrestricted licensure)
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (or Board Eligibility within 3 years of completing a US based residency program)

  • Proficiency with minor office-based procedures including, but not limited to: joint injections, minor dermatologic procedures, basic gynecologic care
