Overview
AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Radiation Oncologist to join our team with a split-site practice between AdventHealth Winter Garden and AdventHealth Lake Nona. These two state-of-the-art locations in the rapidly growing Orlando market offer access to cutting-edge technology, strong referral networks, and vibrant communities known for excellent quality of life.
Winter Garden provides a charming historic downtown, family-friendly neighborhoods, and easy access to Orlando’s west corridor, while Lake Nona is a nationally recognized medical innovation hub anchored by Lake Nona Medical City.
Position Highlights:
• Full-time clinical role with no administrative time required
• Primary coverage split between AdventHealth Winter Garden and AdventHealth Lake Nona
• Opportunity to collaborate across additional Central Florida locations as needed
• Call responsibilities are part of a 6–8 week rotation, assigned weekly
- Call is limited to after-hours office support only (no inpatient rounding required)
• Supported by a highly skilled multidisciplinary team including:
- Radiation therapists
- Dosimetrists
- Medical physicists
- Oncology nursing staff
• Patient population includes a broad mix of oncology cases, with emphasis on:
- Head & neck cancers
- Breast cancer
- Lung cancer
- Prostate cancer
• No brachytherapy procedures required onsite
Candidate Requirements:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology (American Board of Radiology)
- Minimum of 5 years of post-training experience preferred
- Not open to new fellows or residents
- Eligible for an active Florida medical license
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a strong focus on patient-centered care
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to build relationships with referring providers
Practice Overview:
Our group of more than 20 radiation oncologists provides coordinated care across multiple AdventHealth locations throughout Central Florida. Hospital Description
AdventHealth Winter Garden, a part of AdventHealth Orlando, opened in 2016 as a state-of-the-art emergency facility featuring board-certified physicians trained in the care of both adults and children. AdventHealth Winter Garden opened its new inpatient tower in May 2022, a $229.5 million expansion which brings critical services to the fast-growing West Orange community. The new tower provides 80 private rooms and space for new services, including orthopedics, advanced gynecology, cardiology, gastroenterology, general and robotic surgery, neurology, spine health, colorectal and urology.
