Overview
AdventHealth for Children is seeking an outstanding Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant/ Cellular Therapy physician to join its growing FACT accredited program at the Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando, Florida.
The incoming physician would be the third physician in the BMT team, sharing clinical responsibilities and inpatient call among the group. The program works closely with pediatric hematology/oncology and adult bone marrow transplant colleagues within one of the nation’s largest integrated healthcare systems. The program is FACT accredited, a COG transplant center, a PTCTC center and provides stem cell transplant, CAR T therapy and gene therapies.
This role is primarily clinically focused, with preferred desire to participate in clinical research. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, compassionate Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant physician with outstanding clinical judgment, strong multidisciplinary teamwork and communication skills, and a commitment to delivering innovative, family-centered care while advancing excellence in transplant outcomes and program growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient and outpatient care of pediatric stem cell transplant/cellular therapy patients
- Participate in shared call coverage among the practice physicians
- Collaborate with pediatric hematology/oncology teams both internally and externally
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a multidisciplinary environment
- Support continued program growth through clinical excellence
- Engage in clinical trials in pediatric cell therapy.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology
- Completion of a fellowship in Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant / Cellular Therapy or have 2 years experience in practice.
- Board certification in Pediatrics
- Board certification (preferred) or board eligibility in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology
- Eligibility for unrestricted Florida medical licensure
Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) or more years of post-fellowship clinical experience
- Experience managing complex transplant patients
- Experience with Car T and gene therapy
- Interest in long-term clinical practice within a growing pediatric specialty program

Hospital Description
Our Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is a full service, tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, more than 30 peds ICU beds with a dedicated peds CICU, a 102 bed NICU, 17 bed pediatric emergency department and statewide pediatric network and transport system. We started our comprehensive pediatric open heart program in 2012 and have a strong track record of positive outcomes. We also have several key destination programs including our level IV Epilepsy program, the region’s only BMT and solid organ transplants including kidney and liver, and we increased Orlando area NICU beds to 150 total in 2017. Our unparalleled network consists of 30 hospitals across the state with one children’s hospital at the center totals over 23,000 births and several extremely successful pediatric subspecialty programs including outreach clinics. These 30 hospitals refer patients for tertiary and quaternary services to our main location near downtown Orlando. Our newest program has brought pediatric liver transplant services to Central Florida. In 2019 through 2024, AdventHealth for Children is recognized by US News and World Report as the best Children’s Hospital for newborn care in Florida.
