Overview

AdventHealth Medical Group’s High Risk Pregnancy team located in Melbourne, FL, is seeking a BC/BE Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician to join our growing, nationally recognized program. You will join the overall team as the tenth MFM physician in our state-of-the-art program, which currently includes seven full-time and two part-time board-certified MFM physicians, supported by three perinatal nurse practitioners. Our AIUM-accredited practice provides expert care in prenatal diagnosis, obstetric ultrasound, and maternal-fetal medicine consultation. You will work alongside a highly skilled sonography team that participates in monthly education and a robust quality review program. We maintain close collaboration with neonatology and pediatric colleagues through monthly interdisciplinary meetings, and there are occasional opportunities to participate in the OB/GYN residency High-Risk Obstetrics Clinic. Experience in fetal echocardiography or CVS is welcomed.

Job Requirements

This is a 100% consultative practice with no deliveries.

  • Inpatient consultative coverage averages 5–7 days per month, supported by perinatal NPs and OB/GYN residents
  • Coverage is based at AdventHealth Orlando, Florida’s largest hospital and ranked among the Top 20 hospitals nationally by U.S. News & World Report (2025)
  • During consultative coverage, physicians also provide telemedicine inpatient consultations for seven affiliated AdventHealth hospitals, representing more than 12,000 deliveries annually, with an average of two phone calls per day

Location Description

The City of Melbourne is located in southern Brevard County, southeast of Orlando on Florida’s east coast. It sits astride the Indian River Lagoon, with a large portion of the City located on Florida’s mainland, and a portion located on a barrier island. The Indian River Lagoon separates the mainland from the beach side barrier island.
