AdventHealth is searching for a dynamic, hard-working, board certified (or board eligible) physiatrist interested mainly in inpatient consultations along with a small portion of outpatient practice. This physician would help provide consults at our large tertiary hospital, AdventHealth Orlando, along with some weekend coverage at Winter Park, which houses our new beautiful inpatient rehab unit. Outpatient follow up clinic is estimated at a half day per week for the first year.
Work with our existing, highly experienced physiatrists and a terrific support team of neuropsychologists, therapists, skilled nurses, and dietitians. A full range of medical and surgical specialists also provide care for our patients on this unit.
In late 2019, we moved to a brand new, dedicated unit at Winter Park Memorial Hospital with capacity of 60 beds. Our units currently hold specialty certifications in Stroke and Brain Injury. The new physician would work alongside three other physicians as we expand our team even further in the upcoming years. Patient mix includes majority of cases in stroke and brain injury as well as some ortho and spinal cord injuries.
