Overview
AdventHealth Winter Park Family Medicine Residency program is looking for a dynamic, hardworking, and broadly skilled Family Physician faculty member. Established in 1975 with over 550 graduates, the ACGME program is based at AdventHealth Winter Park Hospital, a 325-bed acute care facility. We are a 12-12-12 residency and have both geriatrics and women’s health fellowships. The five-year ABFM pass rate is 100%. Faculty present at AAFP FMX, Florida AFP, and AAFP National Courses. There is excellent family medicine support through the system. Opportunities for faculty development abound with the support of a seasoned Program Director.
Winter Park is a gorgeous city with parks, lakes, and year-round outdoor activities. The beaches and local springs (Wekiva and Blue Springs) are one hour away. The theme parks (Disney, Universal and SeaWorld) are a close 20-30 minute drive. This is a delightful environment in which to grow and thrive.
Ideal candidate should expect:
- Opportunity to develop private patient base
- Program growing lifestyle medicine pathway and outpatient ultrasound use (Sonosite and iButterfly in clinic)
- Opportunity to participate in outpatient procedural skills to include dermatologic biopsies/excisions, women’s health procedures, MSK joint injections and others
- Comprehensive benefits package including occurrence-based malpractice, CME allowance, 403b retirement plan, life insurance, long term disability, relocation allowance. Duties will include clinical teaching in an outpatient setting for family medicine. Outpatient responsibilities include 20-30% clinic, 40-50% precepting and teaching, and 20-30% admin. A strong emphasis will be placed on evidenced-based medicine with a concentration on patient centered care. Ideal candidate would have experience in academic medicine, strong communication skills, and fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth.
Board Certification in Family Medicine (AOA or ABMS) is required.
