Overview
General Summary:
- Therapist to maintain a full pediatric caseload preschool through teen and perform case management functions as necessary.
- Communicate thoroughly and appropriately with patients and family members, as well as the clinic administrative and clinical teams.
- Conduct individual and group therapy as appropriate to client need.
- Conduct intake screening and psychosocial evaluations of clients.
- Develop and implement outcome-oriented treatment plans, in conjunction with case ARNP/psychiatrist and case managers when necessary.
- When needed, provide field supervision for Master level student interns.
- Provide specific community resources/referrals relevant to patient needs.
- Provide documentation of clinical services in accordance with clinical and best practice standards.
- Maintain current knowledge of available community resources.
- Serve as patient advocate for patient needs within the community.
- Performs additional duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
Knowledge and Skills Required:

Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling
- Training in pediatrics
- Preferred: Bilingual
Licensure, Certification, and Registration:
- Current & valid Florida Mental Health Counselor license (LMHC)

Apopka is currently one of the fastest growing areas in central Florida due to new construction on Florida State Road 429 (Daniel Webster Western Beltway), a major highway in the area.
