Physician Assistant, PA- C or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, APRN
Full-Time Inpatient Opportunity Serving AdventHealth Orlando
General Summary:
• Evaluates, diagnoses, treats, and manages a wide range of medical conditions.
• Prescribes medications, develops patient treatment options, interprets and verifies test results, and collaborates with other healthcare providers for continued education to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Provides medical care to patients under the supervision of a physician.
• Conducts physical examinations, orders and interprets diagnostic tests.
• Works closely with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
• Educate patients and their families about healthcare issues, disease management, and preventive care.
• Participation in daily multidisciplinary round by contributing specific surgical perspective and promoting integrated comprehensive patient care
• Active team participant in mentoring and educating other team members
• Documentation of all patient encounters by computerized progress notes, brief operative note, procedural notes or admission/consultation/discharge summary dictation
• Pre-operative patient evaluation and medical optimization
Schedule Details:
• 40 hours weekly, 1 weekend a month, and 2 holidays per year
• Campus: AH Orlando
Required Education/Experience:
• Master’s degree in Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant studies
• 1-3 years RN ICU experience Licensure, Certification, and Registration:
• Current, valid Florida PA or APRN license
• Certification by NCCPA
• BLS & ACLS
