AdventHealth Orlando is looking for a dynamic and energetic urologic oncologist to join our team in Central Florida. The new physician should have post-fellowship experience and a special interest in non-prostate malignancies and re-operative surgeries. This opportunity would join our outstanding urologists and practice in our downtown Orlando campus to help grow our Urologic Oncology market in the area. We have a collegial multidisciplinary team of physicians and nurses to collaborate on a customized plan of care for each patient.
The Orlando campus has a growing program of pelvic exenteration for advanced and recurrent malignancies in collaboration with the Center for Colon and Rectal Surgery representing an opportunity to grow a unique flagship program in cancer care. AdventHealth Cancer Institute is one of only two cancer centers in Florida to receive designation by the National Accreditation Program in Rectal Cancer.
A shared general urology call model with other urologists in the practice along with a urology hospitalist model at our tertiary facility make weekend and weekday call less frequent and extremely beneficial to work life balance. Robotic surgery is also widely available throughout our system. AdventHealth Orlando was recently recognized in US News & World Report as the #1 hospital in the state of Florida. It is also nationally ranked for its Urology services on a perennial basis.
There is also potential for the new physician to participate in a leadership role in conjunction with our AdventHealth Cancer Institute (AHCI). Some protected administrative time could be available depending on the background, interest and vision of the candidate. These could include responsibilities incorporating clinical quality and performance standards, education, research and programmatic growth.
Requirements for the position:
- Board Certified by the American Board of Urology
- Fellowship training in Urologic Oncology
- Five years of experience post fellowship
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
- High caliber, quality focused, innovative physicians should apply
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
This is an employment opportunity that includes the benefits of call coverage and competitive compensation. Other benefits include occurrence-based malpractice coverage, CME days and allowance, 403b retirement plan, health insurance for physician and family, and relocation allowance. This practice is a part of AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG). AHMG is a sister organization of AdventHealth which employs 700+ physicians in 60+ specialties. This aligned model and practice management experience provides the opportunity for the physicians to focus on the clinical aspects of medicine.
