Overview

AdventHealth Neuroscience Institute, and AdventHealth Medical Group (formerly Florida Hospital) are seeking General Neurologists and neurology subspecialty leaders for our expanding program in Central Florida.  We are growing into one comprehensive team that will help to grow outpatient practices as well as provide limited inpatient coverage among our eight-hospital system in Orlando.  New physicians would join with our existing team of neurologists to provide general neurology care and/or subspecialty care.

Medical Directors are sought with fellowship training in the following areas:

  • Behavioral Neurology (Alzheimer's / Dementia)
  • Movement Disorders
  • MS / Neuroimmunology

AdventHealth Orlando is continuing to grow its Neuroscience Institute, with a new outpatient clinic facility opening in 2019. We are planning for a new Neuro Critical Care Fellowship with an anticipated launch in 2019.  The ideal candidates would also be able to lead our efforts in neurology research, care analytics, quality and outcomes. Our Neuroscience Institute at AdventHealth Orlando consists of 120 dedicated neurology beds which includes 40 neuro-intensive care units, 8 dedicated neurosurgical OR suites with an intraoperative 3T MRI and 64 slice CT, FDG-PET, SPECT, and MEG lab.

AdventHealth Orlando has been awarded the highest designation, a Level 4 Epilepsy Center, by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC).  Our epilepsy center provides most advanced epilepsy care including full spectrum of neurodiagnostic monitoring, ketogenic diet, stereo-EEG using robotic system (ROSA) and Laser interstitial thermal ablation (LITT).  Our program performs more epilepsy surgeries annually than anywhere else in Florida.

AdventHealth also has an advanced comprehensive stroke center providing endovascular procedures 24/7. Our neurosurgery program performed more craniotomy and spine surgery than any other hospitals in Florida. Our minimally invasive brain surgery program is one of the best in the state and draws patients nationally and internationally.

Note: Physicians must be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.  Medical Director candidates must have fellowship training.
