The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is looking for an experienced Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to help lead our critical care program in Orlando. This physician will lead the pediatric cardiac intensive care division at AdventHealth for Children.
Responsibilities of the new physician will include clinical time and leadership responsibilities in our 10 bed CICU, along with approximately 80% of clinical time with built in administrative time depending on physician’s level of interest. The new leader would work with our Medical Director of Pediatric and Adult Congenital Heart Surgery and work collaboratively with our dedicated peds cardiology team (seven physicians). Our predicted case volume for the current year is 250 cases.
We have 22 bed pediatric ICU that maintains its own leadership structure along with cross coverage between our CICU and PICU teams. We also have a pediatric residency program (launched in 2013) with six residents per year and clinical research opportunities.

Requirements of the position:
- At least five years’ experience post fellowship
- Preferred experience leading a Cardiac Critical Care group or division
- Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Critical Care
- Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Fellowship (preferred but not required)
- Strong communication skills

Our Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is a full service, tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, more than 30 peds ICU beds with a dedicated peds CICU, a 102 bed NICU, 17 bed pediatric emergency department and statewide pediatric network and transport system.
